Tandoor Chop House
*Please note that only our chicken is halal
**Our Sunday Mighty Thali menu is only available on Sunday's from 12-4pm (last orders are taken at 3.45 pm)
What great food, service and ambience - superb! Will definitely be back.
The price of the Thali was not worth the quality of the food. Many of the Thali dishes were too simple and included dishes such as seasoned broccoli, seasoned cauliflower. Many chutneys which were bland. There needed to be a rice dish or another substantial curry. The value of this dish should be more in the region of £15
Service was bad. The table was cleared as people were still eating their food. We felt very rushed, and it seemed like they just wanted to get us out as quickly as possible. I also had to ask for a drink 3 times before it was brought to the table.
We had an excellent lunch here - friendly and helpful staff gave us great advice on what to choose. Amritsar lamb chops were exceptionallt good. Warm, relaxing environment - would certainly visit again
Food was great as usual but service was slow tonight with our drinks not coming until our food came out.
Most succulent chicken breast ever
bread and butter pudding to die for
Incredible food, lamb chops were slightly pink and a good size portion for the price. The ambience was great, small and intimate. The staff were very busy but service was good. Will definitely return!
The tandoori meats were excellent. Great location. Fast service. Plenty of time before the performance
The food and service was good however at the end of the meal my boyfriend saw a mouse run underneath our table. We didn't want to make a fuss or disturb other guests eating so we paid our bill and left. Everything before that was lovely just unfortunately seeing a mouse ruined the experience for us!
Great and tasty food. Service was good, but they could have served us more drinks. highly recommend the lamb!
Interesting dishes, great flavours, well presented and delicious.
Tasty meat however I was shocked at the size of the chick pea roti. As a person who has to eat gluten free, this was not filling enough and the restaurant don’t provide rice. The chick pea roti was minuscule and not worth the price at all. Despite spending a lot, I left feeling hungry and had to eat again soon after.
Lovely ambience in a cosy oak panelled room and excellent food. It was probably one of the best Tandori chicken dishes I’ve ever had.
Pleasant locally produced beer was also a treat.
The food was excellent, maybe some non alcoholic beer options would have been nice. The only downside was we waited ages for the bill and ended up being asked to leave even though we hadn't had the bill yet and the staff couldn't understand us because they weren't English. We had to keep repeating our orders, slightly annoying but the food and restaurant was lovely.
Tandoor Chop House is a really unique place, the food is extra special!
Overall the food was outstanding! However the night was slightly disrupted by a bill anomaly which was resolved in the end.
Our table was very cramped but we did arrive an hour early on a busy night.
Overall would highly recommend for the food and ambiance alone.
Waited for food for an hour, staff was nice, but it took long time to get food. Food itself was not bad, but didn’t impress us enough to plan next visit.
Great good in a cosy but luxurious setting just a stone's throw from the National Galleries.
A pleasant gastronomic experience with some tasty and interesting Indian menu choices, including a small thali that was perfect for lunch. The wine list had reasonable choices. The service was efficient and helpful. A nice feature was the open kitchen where one could see the dinner being cooked. For central London, the restaurant is reasonable value for money. We will return .
Amazing lamb chops. Food was overall excellent and the place is small but great atmosphere
Overall it was really good. The food was really tasty albeit slightly small servings sizes. The staff were kind and the food was ready quite quickly. Do not order the naan with Nutella and coconut ice cream as for £7.5 it was a basic piece of naan with the smallest drizzle of Nutella, and a slight dollop or ice cream.
Lovely food, great service and ambiance. Will definitely be coming back.
Really Amazing restaurant , and for the quality of the food it wasn't so expensive, for 3 person, we paid 95 with glass of wine main plate each and two sides and one sharing stater + service ! Food was delicious, you must like spicy tho ! We'll go back for sure
Excellent on all aspects. Succulent and flavorful dishes and a fun convivial vibe. Will definitely go again when next in London.
Servers were great, food was superb and the ambience vibrant. Nothing to fault.
Great place to go out on a date with the Mrs. I also saw a few groups and saw they were having a great time!
I would recommend for the flavours and ambience.
However for £25pp the portion was too small. Only had 1 piece of lamp and had to share the chicken, wasn’t enough. We all thought there should of been more food for the price.
Busy as always but food first class and caterers well for food allergies.
Went about a year ago and was great. Saturday’s meal was a little disappointing though with rushed serviced, faded menus and a general lowering in the quality of the food.
Booked an 8-00pm table for three and was offered a table next to the tandoor. Really smoky and asked to move further away. Fortunately a table became available by the windows which was much better. Started of kebab and pea chat were good though onion rings were almost raw. Mains of paneer, dhal, and lamb chops were fine but ribeye was rather chewy. Overall good value for London
Absolutely superb Thali - good prices - you should try this place!!
Amazing food and staff. A must visit!
Food very tasty, would recommend. Felt a bit rushed as we were told the next people were waiting when we’d just ordered dessert and tea. Very noisy and hard to hear each other because of large fan in the restaurant and very busy. That said, would still go back again for the food.
The food was delicious, the location perfect and the overall ambiance very good. Great for a lunch time meeting. Maybe try for a table or booth as we have a middle table which was a little noisy for a table of 5.
The food was OK and staff friendly but felt rushed as our table was booked for another group and we were reminded a few times of that fact, disappointing and that ruined the experience for us.
Birthday dinner with family, after the theatre. Perfectly ending to a lovely day: ambience, service, delicious food.
Excellent food and great service.
A long delay to receive some mint sauce and had to ask three times.
Loved everything about it!
