Tan Bueno is a Spanish fusion tapas bar and restaurant in the heart of Sandwich, Kent.
Our kitchen is currently under the direction of Head Chef, Luca Mattia.

South facing, our restaurant sits towards the back of the building, with a beautiful lean to glass roof that floods the restaurant with natural light by day, by night however the restaurant offers a more relaxed candle lit dining experience.

Aswell as our restaurant, the building also boasts a well appointed and carefully curated cocktail lounge.

With over 30 years of experience working in kitchens for the likes of Soho House, Sushissamba and most notably Michelin Star restaurant, Locanda Locatelli.

Drawing on his deep roots in Italian and Japanese culinary traditions, Head Chef Luca Mattia presents a unique fusion and contemporary interpretation on Spanish Tapas.

Join us, for an exclusive spot at the chefs table, where Chef Luca's will prepare a selection of his favourite dishes, personally chosen for you. Chef Luca himself will step out from the kitchen throughout the evening to answer any questions and share his inspirations for a more personal dining experience. Chefs Table is limited to just two tables per service, for two guests seated at the counter or four guests seated in the restaurant.

Waited an hour until the food arrived. 50% of the dishes we ordered they had run out of. The food was excellent when it arrived and the staff did apologise for the poor service as they were understaffed and the presented me with a bill with a 12.5% service charge on (and there was only 2 of us) ! First time we had been so, based upon that, the jury is still out as to whether we go again!

We really enjoyed our evening. This was our second visit in a month! Fantastic food. Great service. High quality restaurant in Sandwich. Vibe is very relaxed. Highly recommend as a place to meet friends, unwind and catch up.

Food, service, decor were all excellent. The staff were knowledgable on all the tapas options, the oak smoked bbq steak was delicious and cooked out in the garden area. The cocktails were lovely and desserts too.

Ww absolutely loved our first experience of Tan Bueno. We ordered a selection of tapas and sides, the food waa delicious. The waitress and waiter couldn't have been nicer and really added to the experience. We also enjoyed some delicious cocktails.

Firstly the food and service was absolutely excellent. Can’t fault this. The staff were exceptional. We were the only two people there for about an hour. It’s such a shame that the decor just doesn’t match the quality of the food. Overall I’d recommend the food as once again it’s faultless 🥂
