   We had not been to Tamboli’s since we had take out during Covid. It’s such a great neighborhood restaurant. We will definitely be back. We had a pizza, special pasta & cappuccino and portions are large.

   It took thirty minutes to get an incorrect cocktail properly returned, the service less than stellar. Once the entrees came out, we got pizza, I had hoped they would have been less soggy in the middle. On a huge plus side, they offer non dairy cheese that actually melts! We can check Tamboli’s off our list.

    When we have family get - togethers, or when we just want the best in Italian cuisine, our #1 choice is Tambolis. Fresh meats and cheeses, and the best homemade pastas and sauces...and don't forget the Panna Cotta.

    Cute place and maybe one of the best pasta dishes I’ve had in Memphis. It was a bit noisy, which bothered some of the older people I was with. Overall I would recommend.

    First visit.Three of us split a vegetarian pizza and a vegetarian pasta dish. Both were excellent and portions large. Can’t wait to go back.

    They seated people who walked in before us who said they did not have a reservation, even though we had a reservation. We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation time. Then we had to wait to be seated since they had filled the room by letting the walk-in customers go ahead of us. Once we were seated we didn't see or hear from a waiter for 15 minutes. My pasta was cold and dry, kind of crusted over and hard on top like it had been sitting out for a while. Other than that, I guess everything was okay. I'm never going back though.

    Waitress didn’t write down our order and forgot one persons main course. By the time she figured it out it was too late as others were half way done with their meals. They offered a terrible apology and did nothing to try to remedy the damage done. Won’t go back, even though the food is good.

    Good Italian in Memphis is hard to come by. Tamboli’s was the best experience I’ve had in a long time. The food was awesome and the service was just as much. Spicy vodka and lemon ricotta sauces were so good and the bruschetta was the best I’ve ever had! Can’t wait to go back :)

    It was my first time dining at the restaurant and the food was delicious. They used fresh ingredients and it’s as close to Italian food I’ll have in Memphis. I will come back because I had a wonderful experience. Thank you!

    What a lovely find. We were sat right away. Our server was great! Everything was fresh and delicious. Our only comment is on the wine service. They opened it at the bar instead of table side and the traditional taste.

    Meatballs, Tuscan soup , and tomato vodka cream pasta were wonderful! We did not care for the pizzas (not done enough and toppings all grouped in center and truffle oil was very strong on the other choice), salads and salad dressings were ok. Very nice service and casual dining was comfortable and pleasant with local art and indoor patio lights. Bar looked like it would be nice spot to stop in for a drink and counter service meal. Will come again and try some other menu items to support this nice option in Midtown.

    We wanted to try eating at the restaurant. We only have been there for pizza takeout which has always been good. However the pasta dishes are fantastic. Everything is homemade in the restaurant and they source locally. We are going back and will order some more good choices. Once you go you will always want to go back

    I really want to say that I haven't been in here since the restaurant opened and, overall, the food is amazing. I'm not sure what I was expecting but this was legitimately the best meal I've had in a year or two (I travel a lot for work so that includes in other big markets and cities). I went with the fried mushrooms (excellent; Alli recommended that I get the spicy aioli and she right on), the tomato basil soup (best I've had anywhere), side salad, and risotto. I even tried my friend's meatballs which are the best in the city (better than Catherine and Mary's). I could probably bloviate more about how great the food is here and how kind the staff is and how I saw the owner working in the kitchen on a Sunday nite, but I think you get the idea. This place is legit and easily the best Italian restaurant in the city and better than others I have tried in other cities with the exception of maybe one or two. I'm really happy to see this junt doing well because so many Italian places have crashed and burned due to a combination of mediocre food, bad management, and overpriced menus. Tamboli's suffers none of this. I will definitely be back. Thanks for the great food and experience, friends.

    This place is absolutely dreadful, I’m gutted we stayed and paid money for sub standard food. The people next to us received a burnt pizza after waiting 50 minutes. We thought it a bad sign but gave the benefit of the doubt. Our pizza came out after 40 minutes of so, and we had pasta. To sum the food up, pasta was microwaved and pizza was way too doughy. All the 5 star reviews here have to be fake
