Loved our food and our service - great experience and we will be back. Really loved the chicken tortilla soup - very interesting and yummy!
Fantastic food, prompt service.
Everything was delicious and service was great. Highlights were the guacamole, margaritas, steak fajitas and churros. Highly recommend.
Great Mexican food right in the heart of Larimer Square.
I had the Asada tacos which were great paired with a frozen strawberry margarita. I also had the bacon gauc which was awesome. The atmosphere is super cute and I love that it’s right off larimer street since it’s just a cute area overall. Will definitely be back again to try other menu items in the future.
Poor service experience due to having to wait 45minutes for our first cocktail and under-staffing.
Get the fajitas, they are amazing!
It was not as good as we had hoped
We lived in Denver for 30 years. We moved away 6 years ago. We came back for a visit and had friends who came to visit and we decided to show them downtown Denver. Our dinner was fabulous! The food was great! Our waiter Matt was awesome and we were his last table as he is moving on to another venture. It couldn’t have been mor perfect! 🤗😘
Great staff, food, and location. We'll be back with others.
Service was rushed. We were told kitchen was closing and they brought out all the courses at once, even though more tables were being seated for dinner after we we told this and received the check. We also had major challenges with asking for napkins, utensils, plates, etc.
Daniel was great! Food was great! All was great!
Our server was amazing. He knew everything about tequila and taught us a few things. The food was all good. We had the bottomless brunch. They brought out so much food and we ate until we were completely full. Will definitely be doing another brunch there soon. The ambiance was amazing and all the workers were nice and so efficient. We had the best brunch experience there and highly recommend it.
Some of the food was underwhelming, the ceviche was not my favorite. But the service was amazing.
Great drinks, good food
Food was great and server was wonderful. My only constructive feedback is that I was disappointed that Pollo con Mole was no longer on the menu. I think Tamayo’s has the best mole in town, and their chicken mole dish was wonderful. Please bring it back.
The service was great! The food was tasty! We loved it!!!
Great place with incredible service! We will return the next time in town. Thank you!
We were vising from Chicago and decided to try Tamayo for our final dinner in the city. Tacos and the drinks were good. But the ceviches could have been better. Overall, a decent experience but we were expecting better food.
The server was borderline surly with us. We will never return.
The food was OK, but overpriced in relation to its quality.
Tamayo offers delicious, authentic Mexican food with smooth well made margaritas! We ate outside and fully enjoyed ourselves!
Tamayo's bottomless brunch is a great celebration idea! We went before attending pride and it was wonderful. The food was excellent, and our server was amazing. Will be back.
We have usually had a great meal here. Tonight we did not. No frozen margaritas, and half our entrees came out cold. All entrees came out late. The manager and server did a good job taking care of the issues. But overall disappointed in the meal. First time we haven’t had a stellar time.
Fajitas were good, but waitress said that we could not mix meets (only place I have ever been denied this). Enchilada sauce was not good. Guac with bacon was very good.
Waitress was unhelpful in general, not service oriented at all: disconnected, short, and somewhat rude.
We sat on the patio upstairs, and it is silly that the area closest to Larimer is not used for serving. It is the nicest area to sit.
Given the above, the value was poor and I will not be returning. There are way better options.
Good food, could be a broader drink selection, but service was lovely
Daniel was a fantastic server. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the experience. Definitely will be coming back!
It was great food
Great customer service everyone was very polite and attentive.
We enjoyed the food very much and the drinks were great too!
It seemed a little lackluster in person compared to how it appears online. Server got us what we needed, but wasn’t very personable. The food was bland but not bad. It was my first meal of the day not at an airport, so I ate it, but I can’t see myself returning if I’m ever back in the area.
We went for my friends birthday on a Sunday afternoon. The ambiance is great and the staff are all kind and helpful. The food however is mediocre and not worth the price if you as me. Nothing was horrible nothing was incredible, at the same time. Honestly, the food just lacked a lot of flavor. There was one dish that was pretty yummy and flavorful but that was it and, we tried almost everything on the bottomless brunch menu. I’d probably recommend just going somewhere that has bottomless drinks and large portions rather than spending $42 for food that’s just okay.
Delicious tacos! And if you order a drink off their curated drink menu, absolutely tasty! At first though, I ordered a Paloma. It was terrible! Literally tequila and grapefruit juice and nothing else. Switch to the Sangria though and it was much better. We had churros for dessert too and those were yum!
However, I was disappointed when we arrived. I'd done research prior to reserving, as I wanted margaritas and a view for my birthday. I expected to be on the rooftop, even if we had to wait a little while. When we got there, we were told there was a private party on the rooftop and it wasn't available. As I'd listed in my reservation my interest in the rooftop to celebrate my birthday, the restaurant should've contacted me to give me a heads up. I was very disappointed.
Otherwise, it was a lovely evening and we really enjoyed ourselves!
Best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to!
Spectacular enchiladas, guacamole, and churros!
Missed Tamayo all these lockdown months! The staff is as wonderful and welcoming as ever, food tasted even more delicious than I remembered and ambience is perfect for getting together with friends. HIGHLY recommend!
Overpriced, not great quality. I had the pork belly taco and the pork tasted old. Waitress had a bit of an attitude
Tamayo is a good option. My ceviche was excellent, as was my wife's tortilla soup. And, of course, the accompanying Negra Modelo was classic Mexican beer perfection.
Food was absolutely not worth the money you’re made to spend on it. Limited menu options was a bit frustrating to work with. Also the fact that you aren’t supposed to share with the rest of your table is a bit of a ridiculous rule. If everyone at the table is already going to pay the same amount of money for their own platter regardless of what they get, then why would you not share your food with your party?
Food tasted bland, not much to it that made it any more unique than bare minimum (modern) Mexican food. Absolutely not worth $28. The fact it was bottomless didn’t even matter because no one at our table got a second platter anyway.
The only thing I liked was the fruit.
I had high hopes but ultimately it was disappointing. Would not recommend, unfortunately.
Food is good but ambiance is poor. Tables used to be nicely set. I even recall white tablecloths at one time and flowers on table. Nothing at all now. Place looks really drab.
Food was absolutely delicious but I was still hungry after my meal.
