Great location.
Decent food.
Ok drinks.
Good service.
This place is just WAY overpriced... There’s lots of Mexican food in town that is significantly better & way more affordable.
We seated at a table where we had little privacy and noise level was high. The food , service really good. Just wish we had a better seating
My husband & I celebrated my birthday. We had fantastic food & excellent service!! Looking forward to eating at Tamayo again!!
The staff made made a Birthday...a very special occasion
We have been coming to Tamayo regularly for almost a decade. This was the most disappointing experience I have had. First, the menu is a pared down version of its former, more interesting self. the seafood relleno, mole enchiladas, and many of the best appetizers and entres are gone. There were overall about half as many options. Everyone (including an 11 year old) was still hungry after finishing three small street tacos for close to $20. There are so many places for tacos for half the price that we can choose instead and this was never the food that made Tamayo innovative or interesting. The fish tacos also did not taste fresh, which was disappointing. I had never left unsatisfied before. Supposedly, the restaurant will revamp the menu again, but until they do, I will not come back for dinner.
Birthday celebrations. Our server went out of his way to get sneaky churros for dessert when they weren’t on the menu. Thank you!
1st time here and the see ice and food were amazing. Packed full of flavor! I will definitely be back.
Dinner before a show at the DCPA. Great service, great food. Not our first time, or our last time there.
I definitely recommend this restaurant, even though my food this go around wasn't as good. The rub on the carne asada is really bitter and didn't jive with the mole. But, their happy hour menu is really good, so I would recommend going at a time you can order off that.
Great service and very pretty restaurant. We came for brunch and the food just didn't match the price for a brunch. The portions are so small that you're pushed into doing the "all you can eat brunch" but the food quality just doesn't match that price. The guacamole was fantastic, but it is extra to the all you can eat portion. We spent almost $100 for two people at brunch and I have spent a lot less for a much better brunch. I have heard their dinner is very good, so maybe we will give that a shot in the future.
I was very disappointed in the fact that I marked "birthday" on my reservation. The host nor the server acknowledged this. The server never looked us in the eye while attending to us and rarely came by. I had to get up and run her down to tell her we had a birthday and could she put a candle in the dessert. The dessert came (at the hands of someone else) with no candle. The server came by. I gestured to the dessert. She picked it up and brought it back with a sparkler. The moment was ruined.
I also let the server know I was dairy free, yet my meal came with cheese and cream on it.
We all enjoyed the food and atmosphere. We had not been for brunch before. We found it to be quite pricey.
Excellent margaritas. Very good food. A couple of vegan and vegetarian options that are good.
Overall great place. It is on the pricey side though.
Consistently great service, food and atmosphere! Love how the food comes out at the perfect temperature.
This was a return visit for us and we were not disappointed. Unfortunately, the terrace was closed for a private party because the views are great. Our meals were beautifully prepared. The Oaxacan salmon was particularly memorable. Definitely on the list for a return visit when we are back in Denver.
We all enjoyed our food; it was excellent as usual. However, the menu has been changed significantly. It has a more limited selection and many of our favorite items were no longer on the menu.
Always love the food and service but it gets too hot and bright when the sun is going down. The restaurant has shades but I still had to keep moving to keep the sun out of my eyes.
good food, both healthy and indulgent options available, good vibe, good waiters, nice outside area.
We generally dine here 2-3 times per year and have always enjoyed the experience. The entrees were excellent, the salmon in the mole sauce is inspired. The chips and guacamole were very average, the salsa was good. We were all disappointed in the margaritas they just seemed to be off.
Having said all that we will return in the future, as perhaps it was just an off night.
Very average food and margs. Definitely not with the $100 dinner for two. Tres Leches Bread Pudding the best part, but still just ok.
We went here for brunch on a cold Saturday in April. We really enjoyed the food and the experience. It’s not the best take on modern Mexican that I’ve ever had, but we really enjoyed the simple and delicious small plates, drinks and value. The decor was very nice!
The whole staff was really helpful and friendly. My husband and I shared an order of the chips and guac and the Carne Asada. The entree was melt-in-your mouth amazing and the drinks we got were yummy. Would definitely go back!
Over-priced, small portions and mediocre food. Save your money and dine elsewhere for southwestern fare.
Great happy hour drinks and food. Noah at the bar was wonderful.
Sami was terrific. Food was fabulous. All good!
We all loved our food. Beautifully presented and reasonably priced.
Great service, great food and drinks. Can't wait to go back!
The food and drinks were fabulous ! Jordon, our waiter was great!!! Definitely a place to revisit and brag about!!!
‘Twas fantastic, it was an anniversary date and they provided us with a complementary anniversary desert (it spelt happy anniversary in sauce on it, I was surprised and thrilled and was a nice surprise for my girlfriend too) which was awesome. The waiter (Sami) was fantastic and the food delish, I recommend this restaurant to any and everyone who needs a good date night location!
Great service. Excellent food and drinks. We loved it
Love Tamayo! Great food and drinks. Highly recommend the Spicy Mango Marg and Mahi Mahi Tacos!
It was great. It always is!
What a treat! When you don't get to go out often, and you finally have a date that turns out great (food & show) and you're still talking about the food that says a lot. Brunch was amazing!! So many wonderful flavors! Great ambiance and wonderful service!
Soup and maui taco's were fair. The tortilla soup had little additives, little chicken and less vegetables.
If you like Tequila you need to go here. Food was amazing, drinks were excellent. Service was not as attentive as possible. Overall value is very high
My husband and I had a pre-theater dinner before Hamilton. It was perfect. We sat at the bar for cocktails, chips, salsa and guacamole then to our table for dinner. Jordan our waiter was awesome.
Tamayo never disappoints us.
This is a regular stop for us if we want a fairly fast and always excellent meal. Great place to eat prior to the theatre.
The waiter was not very knowledgeable about the menu but the food was delicious.
The food was good as always but our waitress was probably the least approachable human being ever. We tried to ask her for recommendations and suggestions and she would say like two words. It seemed like she didn't want to be there - very strange.
They've changed the food presentations since our last visit, and we've been here several times. The carne asada and carnitas plates are a hot mess. Meats slathered in sauces with soggy tortillas on the bottom of the plate. Components hardly identifiable. The tacos are now layed out flat on the plate-used to come in nice taco holders that helped the tortillas stay together and not sit in a bath. Uncertain as to our future with this restaurant.
