   Service was not great last night... chips and salsa delivered as chips... and sometime later salsa showed up. Not much attention to the table, with 25% of the tables unfilled. Food was quite good. Third or fourth time dining here... first time it was not so great.

   Specifically made a reservation for the patio on a Wednesday night, we arrived and were told the patio was closed to a private event. thanks for the email or phone call to tell me! That is just lazy customer service. I made my reservation on April 26th so when did this party rent out the entire patio? There were some service miscues which was disappointing. We did like the food - chili relleno appetizer (note the filling is premade so you cannot make any changes, like no corn), skirt steak entree.

   Service was stellar. Food left a lot to desired, especially for the price. We got the salsa trio for an appetizer..it was like 3 meat marinades. I would not call it salsa…no tomato, no cilantro, no spice..it was weird. I got the carnitas for $25..it was mostly meat with two little tiny tortillas. Ratio was way, way off. The meat was good texture, but sweet. I got a pineapple Margarita. Again for $10, not worth the price. No garnishment and came in a very small cup, did not feel like I was drinking a margarita. Not my type of food place, left hungry.

    Tamayo is awesome!! Everything was extremely good. I had the La Tampiquena, which is an authentic Hispanic dish - carne asada steak (very juicy, tender and flavorful),chees e enchilada in a luscious mole sauce (incredible), guacamole, corn salsa, rice and black beans. Also had an order of chips and guacamole, and it was amazing. Truly one of the best meals I've ever had. Definitely am going back!!

    Tamayo provides authentic Mexican food that is excellently prepared. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We have dined here several times and each time our meal was delicious. The side order of plantains is definitely recommended. Their margaritas are delicious and you also have the option of beer, wine, and mixed drinks from the bar. It is conveniently located to DCPA so dinner at Tamayo before a show is always fun.

    A great time sitting outside on a warm spring evening and enjoying happy hour followed by dinner. Chile relleno appetizer was delicious and large enough for a full meal. Service was excellent.

    Was really looking forward to brunch here but was disappointed. The food was not good, everything was covered in pickled purple onions and tasted similar. The breakfast potatoes and bacon were the best thing. The margaritas tasted like lemonade and tequila. $42 for a bottomless brunch that had substandard food and drinks was way overpriced. I know location plays Into the cost but I will not be going back.

    Overall an ok Mexican restaurant. Maybe my expectations were to high since I heard it was one of the best Mexican restaurants in Denver. Food was good not great. Atmosphere fun and lively. Great location and also good service.

    The Tamayo Margarita is my favorite of all margarita's I've had. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the sides offer the best of Richard Sandoval's offerings. They match the meat perfectly and delight the taste buds.

    I love bringing my friends to the bottomless brunch! It's such a great way to work through the menu and try a little of everything. Our server was awesome at putting food in and bringing it out, to ensure we got a little of everything. The host team was awesome working with me on my large party reservation and very accommodating. I cannot wait to come back!

    I’ve dinned at other Richard Sandoval restaurants and although the attempt was made this just wasn’t on par of his other restaurants. Had the Mexican cot which would’ve been great but the corn lacked any favor. The carne asada tacos would’ve been better if the meat were tender and the pepper was removed from the garnish. Also the restaurant was cold. However the pineapple margarita was great!

    If you want great service, relaxing atmosphere and wonderful food, come to Tamayo Restaurant. My husband and I chose this place because we hadn't been in a while and we were attending a musical later that evening. Our adult beverages were good plus unique. The food was spot on including not only the guacamole as an appetizer, but the canitas and veggie enchiladas. Our server, Alexa, provided us with a great dining experience!
