I received an email promotion stating a free margarita with lunch entree. Waitress acted like she wasn’t aware of the promotion. We shared the email then were charged for our margaritas. Manager came an suggested that we should have printed the promotional email. Then agreed to honor it. Bad service!

Between the amazing food and wonderful service, we will definitely be returning. The pork belly tacos were so delicious. And our service was great. He offered gre at recommendations, catered to my food allergies well, and made celebrating a new job extra special.

I had the pork entree. It was a large portion and was very good and a little spicy. My husband had the shrimp skewer and it again was a large portion of food and very good. We had the queso appetizer, which is different and we didn't care for it.

My friends and I had brunch here and we really enjoyed it. We were happy with the beverage and food selection as we were able to try pretty much everything on the menu for brunch.

I asked a few people for a restaurant recommendation in downtown Denver and the only place that everyone agreed on was Tamayo. Amazing food & drinks and great service! If you’ve never been, you should definitely go!

My salmon was awesome. I would recommend pairing the salsa and guacamole as an appetizer and bringing back the salsa verde variety salsa options. The queso fundido was not good. Had to be reheated and still was not good. Will not be reordering that again.

The server was excellent, very knowledgeable about the menu and helped me with food allergies. Unfortunately the kitchen and bartender were pretty slow, even before it got busy. But would definitely go again.

We always enjoy the food, drinks, and service at Tamayo. We began with happy hour margaritas and refreshing Sandia Tajin , and the tasty mushroom flatbread. For dinner, four of us shared the tuna tartare guacamole and queso fundido. The portions were generous and we could have stopped there. For entrees, the salmon in mole sauce with butternut squash was delectable, and the mahi tacos had just the right amount of heat. Service was fast, friendly, and attentive.

Tamayo was wonderful for a birthday celebration before the theater. The food was fantastic (get the bacon guac) and the service exquisite. The special birthday dessert treat was such fun! Drinks before and after the meal hit the spot. Great place to people watch, too. We highly recommend it.

Tamayo is just one of my favorite restaurants, whenever I have dinner plans I always suggest Tamayo. My best friend and I love the Sandia Tajin margarita and often go there just for the drinks. But the food is always good. I love the Mahi mahi tacos

We usually love Tamayo but last night the food showed up cold. I should have sent it back but hate eating at different times than my wife’s course. I had the special enchiladas made of short ribs. The flavor was good but the cold dish was a problem. Spent the night with an upset stomach from it, not good.

A friend recommended we go to Tamayo prior to a concert at Pepsi Center since it is so close and she mentioned a few of her favorite plates that they served and it sounded really special. We were all looking forward to it.

As it turned out, the menu had changed and none of the appetizers or entrees that she talked about were offered. Instead we found the menu very plain and overpriced for what you get.

We absolutely loved getting to eat here before the symphony--it definitely added a kick to an otherwise sedate evening. If you'd like some very creative cuisine, delve into Tamayo!

My fish tacos were tasty. My friend had steak/shrimp skewers which were primarily sausage, a meat she didn’t know was included and she disliked. It’s a very loud restaurant if you dine at prime time. Our waiter, Aldo was excellent and very kind taking a special interest in providing preservative free foods to accommodate my husband’s dietary needs which he enjoyed. This was my 4th dining experience at Tamayo with my past 3 visits consistent with this one.

We've been here several times in the past but after this visit, less likely to return. Just like his other restaurant (Zengo), the owner changed the menu, which eliminated many of the dishes we preferred. We ordered a Tampiquena dish (steak) and the first time the whole plate of food was cold. Second time it was hot but the steak lacked any flavor. The potato side was the best part of the meal. I did enjoy the mushroom flatbread and Sangria. Service was very good; the manager took care of the problem. I understand mixing up the menus at restaurants but when they take off favorites its a disappointment. We drove in from Fort Collins area with out of town guests, they were not wowed like we were in the past.

We've been Tamayo fans since they opened in the early 2000s. But gradually, over the years what had been a special experience has felt more and more like assembly line food. The menu seems smaller (one of our favorite items anywhere, huitlacoche soup was dropped several years ago). Saturday night we were put up on the second floor porch which is closed for the winter. That doesn't mean there still isn't a good breeze coming through the plastic 'windows'. And we were seated right next to these plastic shields. The space heaters up there barely reached us.

Not only was the area around us cold, my wife's food came out cold. The meat was warm and the mole on the mole enchilada was cold. I was served the wrong entree and when the right entree came out, it came out without the beans and rice I'd ordered.

The waiter was fine. Obviously the servers (I think there were two) were confused. My wife took the majority of her food with her so she could enjoy it at home at a proper temperature.

Desserts were fine.

As I said at the outset, I feel like Tamayo has gotten kind of routine. They can do better. I hope they will, but it'll be a while before we try them again.
