Always love it here! Use to go to La Loma and after being poorly treated by the host staff and manager we now will only go to Tamayo. They have class and quality customer service and the best assortment of tequila!

This was just a normal girls night out dinner but the food and service made it an experience to remember. I would highly recommend this place for date nights or special occasions.

Our server was a bit abrupt /short with us - just not super friendly...and obviously this isn't a huge deal but we both ordered margaritas and she only carded one of us. Kind of made me feel like a grandmother even though I'm only in my late 30s. :)

I used to visit Tamayo a lot and always enjoyed myself. I still enjoy going during the summer when the rooftop patio is open, but only for that patio.

This time, we discovered the menu was cut in half and selection is very limited. My pork was extremely dry. Even though our service was good, no one asked if our food was to our liking.

Based upon the prices they charge, the value is very poor and I won't go back unless it's to drink on the rooftop patio.

Excellent guacamole as always. Salmon was good but the mahi mahi tacos were sub par. Drinks were great!

MY brother was in town for a convention, and we were looking for a place with a vegan option (crispy tofu tacos), regular (chicken enchilladas), healthy (Mahi Mahi tacos) and interesting (Mole). Tamayo provided a wonderful meal for all of us. The taquila selection looks amazing.

Our waitress was outstanding--very attentive and pleasant. Although it was a little noisy, especially near the door, the energy was positive. The food was well-proportioned and quite good. This was a birthday dinner, so the sparkler in the dessert was a special treat.

The menu rarely is updated with new items and this particular experience was disappointing. The restaurant was not that busy but service was poor. Took forever to get our wine and the waiter was inattentive. All the food was lukewarm and being the kitchen wasn't busy it should have been fresh.

The service detracted from the dinner. Bus boy snatched a plate from the table while the other person was still eating and the entrees were not served hot--had been sitting before serving. Usually this restaurant is very good--not the might we dined.

This was our second visit to Tomayo. We were there for brunch on Sunday. All small plates. Our waiter was excellent explaining the menu and taking our order but the food came out room temperature to cold. Unfortunately it ruined what had the potential to be a very tasty food experience. If we return to Tomayo we'll definitely be more vocal about this matter.

Tamayo is a great choice for dining before DCPA events. It’s 2 blocks from the theatre complex. The weekend brunch is the most delicious way to evaluate the food, service and ambiance.

We went to Tamayo before the theatre. It was busy, so I was glad I made a reservation. We had nice service, good drinks and excellent food. I will definitely go there again, especially before the theater. I like the roof top bar but it was closed for a private event this time.

Went here for anniversary before a symphony performance at DPAC. Great location and easy to walk. Food was delicious and very worth the cost. Slightly different takes on traditional food, such as the chili relleno. Very filling. Service was great: water glasses never empty, server aware of our time to make the symphony performance, good balance between friendly and chatty. Best mango mojitos I've had in Colorado, so I assume great regular mojitos as well.

Tamayo is my favorite restaurant in Denver, which is saying something! Their menu is fantastic and the food is always incredible. Their happy hour is perfect for small bites/tapas and drinks on a budget.

Wow, excellent service from Dustin and a fantastic meal. We were visiting from Seattle to see our son at DU and celebrate my bday. The reviews were so outstanding I suggested we try the place. Awesome, we will definitely return for future meals. I highly recommend the slow roasted pork carnitas. My son enjoyed the Al Pastor (adobe pork/Caramelized pineapple) tacos.

Beautiful evening to sit upstairs & enjoy the sunset. Food was very tasty although my carnitas could have been warmer. Mojitos were well done. Best part was sharing my birthday with my family.

The place looks great! The chips, salsa and guacamole were delicious, so you figure the food's going to be great. There were 4 of us and I ordered the chicken mole, and others ordered steak & lobster, crab tacos, and carnitas. Everyone's food was lukewarm. The "rare" steak was well done. The mole was delicious, but so skimpy that the chicken ended up dry. The flavor was actually pretty good, and I would have given it a "good " had the temperature been right - how hard is it to get it to the table hot? Everything could easily have been really good - it just seems they were a bit sloppy/lazy - this was 5:30 on a Wednesday night, so no excuses!

I've been going to Tamayo's for almost 4 years now and i've been never dissapointed. The food is always tasty and they have the best mojitos and margaritas ever. Bartender upstairs was crazy busy but still handle everything profesionaly and he was very kind at all times.

6 stars for Tamayo's!

This Mexican restaurant was recommended by a client I took to dinner. It was great food, good atmosphere and the service was very good (attentive, but not overbearing). Most of our party had margarita's which we all declared were excellent. The house made guacamole was very good. Each of our four person party ordered something different and all were pleased with the meal. I would definitely go back to Tamayo.

I'm not sure why this is the policy, but apparently the happy hour menu is only available to those seated at the bar which seems a bit misleading as there appears to be no notation of this on the menu online.
As to the dining experience itself, there was a lovely hostess who greeted with a beautiful smile and welcome. The server, Justin was wonderful. I was debating between two seafood dishes and his recommendation was absolutely spot on! Also, I never had to ask let along wait for drink refills . Everyone was very gracious and the food was absolutely wonderful!
