First time at this restaurant, wanted to try it on restaurant’s week and it was great! Food was delicious, chicken was so tender and tasty and the bread pudding to dye for
Food was wonderful, drinks even better. The service however was subpar I would love to try again with a different server to see if the Experience would be different.
Love the place. Great drinks. Stephen (?) our waiter was awesome.
Well... the food was awesome and we had a table of 9 during restaurant week so we expected everything to take a little bit longer. Food came out hot and delicious. The server assistants were so on top of everything the entire dinner. Our server Michael was fairly pleasant throughout the meal but would disappear for long periods of time. It wasn’t an issue because our server assistants were so helpful. When it was time to pay though, our server disappeared for over half an hour with our credit cards. We heard from his table that was sitting behind us that they hadn’t seen their server for a long time as well. We had asked him to correct a few mistakes on our checks, and when we did, he crumpled the check and threw it on our table. When we made a comment about his reaction, Michael responded with “the door swings both ways hun.” We were really confused by this comment and his change in behavior but we still tipped him appropriately with a 20% tip knowing he had to tip out the server assistants that had to help with all his tables but it was a really strange and off-putting end to a good dinner!
We ate upstairs, it was pretty loud!! But the food was so great! Service was great. Went there for restaurant week, and the choices were so fun!! For sure going to be a "gotta go back " restaurant!!
Such a fun and nice atmosphere. Our server was wonderful and accommodating. Server and Kitchen staff were really great about dealing with dietary restrictions. Food, drinks and ambiance were all really good and relaxing.
Was there during restaurant week but ate off the menu. Good pre-symphony meal but a little pricey.
It was our first time in for brunch -- our server, Sabrina, was super attentive and fun. Food and drinks both came out pretty quickly. I would have liked a little more spice to my food, but overall everything was very good. The service was outstanding and I think we'll def keep this on our "A-list" for brunch.
The pork shoulder was tasting bad like it was very old, it was in the dish with the pork filet and in the mole dish, the skirt steak chewy probably because low quality.
The pork and pineapple tacos very average.
I really do not recommend this place.
Server not really knowledgeable about the food he is serving but with good personality.
Lovely restaurant, vibey and really good service.
Bottomless brunch food is a rare thing to find in Denver. I think that Tamayo did an excellent job with the menu and food. However, service was slow and poor. Once seated it took us 10 minutes to get a menu and then another 10 to order food. If you are planning on brunch make sure to make a reservation and plan for extra time to eat and be served.
Service and energy was fantastic!
We went for the mole specials. While I didn't expect it to be as good as what you get in Oaxaca Mexico, it wasn't mole at all. We tried all of them -the mole blanco was a tamal, the others had hardly any sauce so you couldn't tell what they were supposed to be.
We loved out Server and the margarita recommendations !
I thought the food and drinks were great. The set menu was extremely overpriced for what you got.
Beautiful food and dining experience! Service was perfect as well.
Our experience at Tamayo was marred by our inattentive server. The restaurant is lovely with great ambiance for a date. Even though it was Valentine’s Day the restaraunt was not overly crowded. Food and drinks were being delivered quickly. Our serve was just not attentive to our needs. And, even though the menu was set, fixed price, and included a champagne toast, that was not offered to us. 😒
Would we go back? Yes, we will certainly give Tamayo a second chance.
The salmon we ordered was over cooked and the desserts were not great.
It was a great dinner date for Valentines Day! Me and my girlfriend
The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. Due to it being a holiday (Valentine’s Day) I understand the need for making things easier on the kitchen, but I wish there had been a few more choices on the menu for appetizers and entrees. I’m not a huge red meat eater and I don’t eat “swimmy” things, which were the only entree options. Though my food was great, it wasn’t really what I was in the mood for when I arrived.
Excellent food and service. Delicious fresh ingredients and very good flavors. Really good!
Two tables near us were literally shouting-making it very difficult to hear each other or have any level of conversation. Thankfully they left once our meals were delivered but the staff was clearly aware of the issue and didn’t do anything to address it. I’d think twice about bringing a business group here again. Food and service was otherwise excellent.
We had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and the service was terrific, even on a busy evening.
Service was rushed and guacamole had been refrigerated for a long time. It was very cold.
Waited for a long time for a salt shaker and for service. Service was quite rushed
The food was good but for the price, not special. I had the Pepito Steak Wrap so I thought I would be getting steak in the wrap but it was definitely chicken. Not a good value for the money.
This restaurant has good food and a great place to meet. the room is long and a bit noisy but we still had a great time at Tamayo.
Great selection of tequila, the queso is delicious and there were lots of vegetarian options. Our server Eddie was the best.
Our group was very unimpressed with our dining experience. The food was just “meh,” the service was extremely slow and we were having to ask for everything (menus, water, to order). We were seated on their rooftop patio in winter, and this space does not have enough heating to truly be used when it is so cold out. We all had to dine with our coats on. I was bothered that I made an Open Table reservation 4 weeks in advance, and we were sat in the poorest location. Overall, this restaurant has gone downhill in quality for the high price you pay.
Everything was wonderful. Only complaint is that every time someone arrived or left the dining room got a big blast of frigid air. They to work on a new entry!! Froze our a__ off.
A little noisy. But food and service was great.
Food & service was very good. They sat us upstairs & it was cold.
I had a reservation and was sat early. The service is super attentive and keeps water and chips full. The servers also have great recommendations for food options and drinks which is great. The food is OK and the noise level is really loud and it’s difficult to have a conversation. Super high energy tonight.
It was solid night out and the servers were polite and were not rushing to get us out which is greatly appreciated.
A must have us the homemade guacamole! It’s freshly made and plentiful! I had tacos which is plenty of food for one person and my friend had the mole and enjoyed. The portions are HUGE and shareable. A nice place to stop if you’re looking for Mexican food on Larimer.
the food is very good however if you get Cassidy as your waitress change to a different area.
Awesome! Bartenders attentive and personable - manager came by and checked in on us twice....food was delicious! Overall great experience!
Great view of the sunset upstairs although temp was hard to regulate. Good guacamole. Would not recommend the alcohol-free mojito.
First time eating at Tamayo. Took my wife and two daughters. I had reserved a table one week prior. Early dinner at 5:00 but we were brought upstairs in what seemed more like an event room for receptions and what not. Downstairs was much more aesthetically pleasing so make sure to ask for that area. Second floor does not have a restroom which made the trek downstairs long. I was not fond of the waiter reciting the entire menu to us as I am accustomed to simply asking questions if needed. I ordered a glass of Tequila from their list but 15 minutes later found out that it was out of stock. Without bringing the Tequila menu again, I was advised to try one of their house top shelf tequilas. Food was okay. The chili and coffee rubbed carne asada was pre-sliced of about 5-7 pieces and its accompaniment was rather soggy. The girls meals were fair and nothing extraordinary. At 6:00 pm the upstairs became busy and still only managed by one waiter. Just not what I expected and I regret not asking for a table in the main dining room.
Such a wonderful brunch with my sister for her birthday. The service was excellent and brunch is so tasty!
We sat upstairs and had Lexi as a server. She was so awesome. She was attentive and sweet! The food was delicious too. I had the steak tacos and they were perfect!
Our waiter, Jake was incredibly informative and engaging. The menu was outstanding and we enjoyed the white mole chicken - a delicious treat this time Of year!
