Birthday very nice dinner
Disappointed we couldn't sit on top because of a private party and the waiter said it is usually booked
85 to 90% of the time for private parties. Don't plan to take anyone from out of town to see the sights.
So very loud as well. It was busy so service was sporadic. Also a bit pricey. Will never come back.
Very loud, I suppose due to bottomless Margarita.
There was (believe it or not) a small bolt
And washer in my food... really strange. Manager covered my brunch, buuuuttt...
Excellent! Will be back! My husband is a Chef so always interesting when we splurge and go out to eat in a Saturday night. We were not disappointed and very pleased!
This is my second time eating at Tamayo and my second time absolutely loving it. Their "all you can eat and drink" brunch for $39 is a steal AND you order off of the full menu! Great place to bring family and friends. The location is perfect as well, as you can stroll Larimer St and the 16th St Mall before and after you eat.
We had a really nice dinner. Food was good. Maui Manji Tacos were awesome. Awesome tequila selection. Very nice server.
Need to order the banana empanada 😍😍
The staff is excellent in the food at all of Richard Sandoval‘s restaurants are great. Never had a bad Miele any of his restaurants around the world. I specifically like to mile since it is in my hometown!!!
Night before Thanksgiving so maybe a holiday crew was in charge? Appetizers fine and timely. Entrees out way to fast...like 5 minutes after order. Sides came out first, then 2-3 minutes later actual entrees arrived. Temp of entrees was inconsistent on 2 of 4 dishes. Coffee after meal was 10 minute wait. One of four specialty, alcoholic coffees was not drinkable. Least enjoyable meal of 5-6 there in last 2 years. Bill was also in error and required cost adjustments down to be correct.
Was the perfect location and menu for our group of 7.
Love their carne asada and shrimp and spinach enchilada. Damn fine margarita as well.
Excellent experience, great service and wonderful food. Terrific vegan tacos.
Thanks to our waiter Eddie. He as very good and friendly. Nice way to start our evening.
The food was well prepared, and tasted great. They had two issues to work out i) two of our items came out cold and ii)all of our food came out at once (starters, mains, etc); most likely due to the brunch rush. Additionally, our server was overwhelmed by two large tables they were taking care of. What that meant for us is that we weren't even noticed for 10 minutes after sitting down and then didn't see the server again until it was time to pay the bill. It was fine, but not excellent.
The food here is so different than you find at any ordinary Mexican restaurant. The "Bottomless Brunch" is a great value.
Sunday brunch with kids. Most of the dishes were just great! Definitely would go back!
Os! Os! Os! Os! Os! Our favorite server of EVER. Always remembers your order from last time, so genial, so sweet, there's no way we could love him more. Oh, and the food's great too.
Worked with us when we had to modify the reservation. Sophie was the best server ever. Food was excellent too.
Brilliant food, excellent service, our favorite spot.
Food was fabulous. Chicken tacos were not on the menu but I asked and there was no problem getting them. Service was excellent and will definitely eat here again.
Had a great time at the bar prior to our reservation. Friendly and accommodating wait staff. Great drinks. The food...meh! I get the vibe, but the quality just wasn't there for the meal. I ordered the suckling pig tacos and found several bits of cartilage therein. My wife had the Al Pastor Tacos. The pork was dry. It really seemed like the kitchen wasn't on board with the chef's vision. The poke guac was really the highlight of the meal. - Good drinks - Hit or miss on the food - B-
Food was excellent, especially the tuna tartare guacamole, but the margaritas were a bit weak
We were sat upstairs were a door to the balcony was not secured and bitter cold wind bombarded our table for the entire hour we were there. At one point an employee tried to prop a tree against the door, however unsuccessful and we had to wear our coats all through our meal. Our server was nice but was unable to move us, even though we had reservations. Not a good experience and Unfortunate for sure.
Dinner before going to Colorado Symphony! It was, as usual a wonderful dinner at Tamayo’s as is always the case when we book there.
Love the food. Miss the ceviche! Great Mojitos. comfortable but noisy
We were attending an event at the Pepsi Center and thought Tamayo would be prefect to start our night. It did not disappoint. The location was perfect, the service was truly amazing, the vibe was spot on, and the food was delicious. Great downtown spot!
Hi there - thank you so much for the great review! We appreciate that you chose us as your pre-theatre dining destination. We hope you will join us again for another meal in the future, cheers!
After last Sunday's Opera Colorado production of "The Barber of Seville" at the Ellie, I had dinner at Tamayo. Another excellent meal. Service was also excellent. I had the Roasted Vegetables, which I had before. Delicious and healthy! Tamayo continues to be one of my favorite Denver restaurants.
Hi Bill - Wow, thank you so much! You made our day. We look forward to serving you again in the future. Cheers, The Team at Tamayo
The service here was amazing. We came with a group of 18 people and we had multiple different checks and the server was OUTSTANDING. The food was also the best tacos that I have had in a while and the margaritas were so delicious. I will be coming back in the future for sure. LOVE LOVE LOVE.
Wow - thank you so much Sarah, this makes our day! We look forward to having you in to Tamayo again in the future, cheers!
Service was a little underwhelming. Despite my reservations for four we were seated at a 6-top table, next to a four top. Service was slow, promising us two more menus when we were only given two total, waters that needed to be refilled, and waiting a while to order food. Overall the saving grace was the food as it was delicious but I would not return simply because the service was not great.
Hi Scott - Thank you for taking the time to alert me of your recent dining experience at Tamayo. While I am glad you enjoyed the food, I hope you will accept my sincere apology, as I am very disappointed to learn that service wasn't up to our usual standards. We pride ourselves on excellent food and service, and our team clearly let you down. I will be meeting my service team to ensure something like this does not happen again. I hope you will give Tamayo another chance in the future!
Tamayo was great. My friends and I were in from out of town and had a wonderful time at the bottomless brunch. The food and drinks were great. The atmosphere and weather was great so we were able to enjoy our meal while sitting outside upstairs. Overall, I would definitely recommend this on the places to visit while in Denver.
Hi Lauren - Thank you so much for your kind words and for choosing Tamayo! We are so glad you got to enjoy the upstairs rooftop deck. We hope you will come back and visit us the next time you are in town.
Difficult to get service. Some of us liked our meals better than others. Noisy
Dinner out before the opera. Appetizer of the ancho chile relleno was excellent. Nuts, plantains, chorizo, etc. Enough for a meal for one! Mexican street corn was tasty. The steak tapiqueno was cooked correctly with an enchilada and potatoes au gratin. Finished off with plantain empanadas with coconut ice cream. Always great food and ambience.
Hi there - thank you so much for the great review and helpful feedback! We are so glad you enjoyed the Ancho Chile Relleno, Elotes & Tampiqueno. The banana empanadas are our favorite dessert too :) We hope you will choose Tamayo again in the future!
Nothing to remember. Won’t come back ...
The guacamole and salsa were outstanding. The enchilada sauce was extremely tasty and the coffee mole carne asada dish was honestly to die for (I definitely had buyer’s remorse when I tried my partner’s). The only issue I had was the margaritas were very expensive and not as “amazing” as they said. But still would love to go again!
Hola Taylor, thank you for the great review! We’re so happy you loved the Guacamole & Carne Asada and can’t wait to have you back at Tamayo. We will address the margaritas with our bar staff - we appreciate your feedback!
Our server was excellent. He clearly explained the options for brunch and made recommendations. The food was fantastic, we especially loved the small servings that we shared. The small servings allowed us to taste a number of dishes. We have smaller appetites, so we felt the price was a bit on the high side given the amount of food and drinks we consumed. Overall, we loved the brunch and would do it again.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us & we're so glad you enjoyed the service and food!
Bottomless brunch was amazing! Great service, great food and such an amazing value. We would absolutely come back!
Thank you so much for your kind words! It makes us happy to know that providing our guests with the best food & service we can offer is paying off. If there is any other way we can help you, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
We visited for brunch with friends. The service was excellent and the variety of small plates were tasty and satisfied the whole group.
Hi Lisa - Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a five star review, we really appreciate it! We hope you can come back and try lunch or dinner with us! :)
Tamayo is one of our usual dinner spots, we came in with a group of 8 and we expected nothing less from the service and the over all experience. Although the food is always spectacular this time our service was everything but. When the hostess asked what she could help me with and I said that my family was already seated and I just needed to find them, she proceeded to roll her eyes and walk away without a single word. Our waiter was very unprofessional and showed unacceptable customer service, some of our food was wrong or wasn’t even brought out and when ordering we had a tough time with him being outright not open to any of our requests that we had previously ordered several times before and then making subtle comments when trying to order anything for example when I said that I had an order previously recommended to me and proceeded to list what it was, his response had and entitled attitude with it and his remarks would continue through out the night. Although this one time service will not discourage me of coming in again for their delicious brunch and dinner options, I will definitely ask for another waiter the next times to come.
So disappointed in my dinner at Tamayo Saturday night. We had a table of 4 people and our bill was $175. Half of our table's food arrived cold and the service was extremely slow. We sat upstairs where the service seems extra slow because of the distance from the kitchen.
Excellent food, excellent ambiance. Everything we tried was delicious. Very busy hoppin place on a Friday night. Will definitely go back!!!
Thank you so much for your review. We are very happy to hear you had a good experience here at Tamayo and hope to see you back in again soon!
