Great place for brunch on Fathers Day. Great variety of small plate fare and bottomless cocktails.
been coming here for years. looks worn down. Food good, used to be great.
The best mole I’ve ever had. The salmon was incredible.
I am not one to send back food- but multiple things were wrong. The eggplant wasn’t cooked at all- couldn’t even bite into it because it was still hard (which also means it wasn’t ripe!)
Sunday brunch value is outstanding. This place without a doubt knows Mexican food and with the brunch price it is a 5 star experience.
Great brunch selection
The food was not hot and was unremarkable in general. Way too expensive for what it is. Seems the place has gone downhill. We won't return.
The perfect place for a ladies brunch!
The food was amazing! The staff was outstanding! The restaurant is located in a beautiful part of downtown. Definitely going again!
Great restaurant to go to before the theater. We enjoyed the food and fun atmosphere.
Sadly thought the chips, guacamole, salsa was very bland. Had a veggie combo grilled to make own tacos. The veggies were good but the side of beans and rice were very bland as well. Had been here 15-20 years ago and remember it being much better. Wish that wasn’t the case, but wanted to be honest. Thought of this back in the day as Denver’s version of Frontera Grill, but sadly it is far from such.
I had made a reservation for 6 people on June 5, 2019 eapproximately a week ahead for 6:30 pm
When I arrived on our day I was told there were 2 people still at the table so we were asked if we wanted to sit upstairs and we declined.
A few minutes later we we led upstairs to a corner round which was open to the outdoors. I asked if this was our original table and the hostess stated that it was not that they were full. After sitting there for approximately 10 minutes it began to rain and the floor in the corner was soaking wet along with my coat and purse. The staff was able to lower the blinds and close off the area but not before everything got soaked.
I just felt having made a reservation that this should not have occured.
Food good, dessert (bread pudding) was exceptional!
Food was expensive- quality just fair my fish tacos were cold. Waitress was not over friendly and forgot to bring a drink then charged. When I pointed it out she did take it off the bill. Not impressed I will not try again due to cost. Plus we had early dinner and you were out of beef for the skewers??
We were seated very quickly. The service was good, but the food is only average for the price
We went to Tamayo exactly a year prior to our most recent visit this past Saturday and man was there a difference. Management appears to be struggling as the staff acted like a bunch of frat boys and sorority girls. I saw someone hitting their vape pen in the prep area.... anyway, not good.
Awesome food and drinks! Margaritas were some of the best I’ve ever had!
We sat in the bar area because you can only get happy hour prices there. The happy hour is a great deal on food and drinks. We liked the ceviche. The tables are extremely close together and you get bumped a lot. The restaurant has a nice feel. The prices for standard tacos, enchiladas, and other very run of the mill dishes are ridiculous.
Amazing food and waiter was awesome!
Great service with Lindsey. Food was delicious.
Service was a little slow and the drinks weren’t very strong but the food was delicious. I would definitely eat there again.
We shared guacamole and 2 entrees and loved everything. The view from the rooftop patio is unbeatable.
Excellent - appreciate that they gave several vegetarian options.
We let them know that we were attending a show, and they couldn’t have been better with the level of service! The appetizers were great, and everyone’s meal was outstanding. We had several first timers with us who thought it was a great experience! Easy five stars!!
As I was ordering I said something about what I REALLY wanted was a small beet salad and an entree with only 2 tacos. The wait4r said that probably wasn't possible but it came exactly as I wanted it!! Excellent!!
Amazing atmosphere. Amazing food. Amazing service. Loved everything about it.
Great deals , wonderful service and brunch is amazing!
I put on our reservation that it was a birthday and engagement celebration and it wasn’t mentioned at all. I always love tomayo but this time wasn’t great.
Chicken Enchiladas are the best in Denver
One of my favorite brunch’s in Colorado. It can get loud in there when it is busy but the service, food, and atmosphere is always great!
I went on Saturday night as a party of seven. It took more than ten minutes for our waiter to come to the table but only to say he would be right with us. We only had one drink menu for the seven of us to share. The floor beneath the table was dirty. Ten more minutes go by and our waiter comes to take our drink order. Another ten minutes later we have our drinks but our waiter does a "drop and dash". Dropped off our drinks and didn't even take our food order. After twenty minutes and devouring all of the chips and salsa, we gave our menus to a passing expediter because they in our way, and had no place to put them. Ten more minutes later we see our waiter. For joy! No. He takes away one plate from the table next to us (directly. next. to. us) and walks away. Never looked at us. Finally, my friend went up to the front and asked for the manager. The manager went and found our waiter who came back to the table and exclaimed,"there appears to be a problem, ladies?" I told him we were well ready to order our food. He said he was well ready to take it. I'm glad he needed forty-five minutes to get ready. The food arrives about twenty minutes later. Three friends ordered the mahi tacos. They said the fish was tough and not flaky like you would get. Looked like a cheap cut. Two of us got the carne asada. At least the meat came out perfectly medium rare like we ordered. That was about it. The side of veggies that came with the carne asada was just awkward. I really don't think a room temp green bean mixture goes with carne asada. My friend did like her mushroom enchiladas and my other friend liked the salmon dish. I tried the salmon dish and the fish was overpowered by seasoning.
All in all this was a very disappointing meal with horrible service. Such a shame because this was our big night out and wanted some place special to go as we are rarely even in the same state together.
I would not recommend this establishment.
side dishes were never brought out - due to still cooking
We had a reservation and still got put in the very back of the restaurant when there were plenty of open tables at the front. Food came out lukewarm and did not have much flavor.
The best experience I’ve had at a restaurant in a very long time!!! Everything was beyond expectations.
Great food- terrible service. Party of 3. Apps came 5 min apart and sides came at the end of the meal. Had to get host to find utensils. Won’t bother again.
Their frozen margaritas are back, and they are as good as ever. We hadn’t been for awhile and were thrilled to find these back on the menu. The food and service was excellent, as usual.
We were disappointed. Tamayo used to be a fave of ours but the food and service have seemed to slip... the food was just all right and the server barely made eye contact with us when he was speaking to us
Great service, food and atmosphere. Ate here prior to show at buell theatre, 2 block walk. Guacamole unique, crab and shrimp enchiladas wonderful!!
