   Tamarindos está lejos de ser lo que fue hace unos años. Las opciones de brunch se ven bien en la carta, pero al llegar a mesa dejan mucho que desear en cuanto a presentación y a sabor. Inclusive las vajillas que utilizan son sencillas y no son dignas de un restaurante de su tipo. Las bebidas, bien. Otro restaurante en decadencia en CDGT.

   El lugar es bonito y la atención de los meseros muy buena. La comida no fue a la altura, ni de lo que esperábamos, ni de lo que pagamos. Las entradas vienen en proporción demasiado grandes, buenas pero no increíbles. En cuanto al plato fuerte, tampoco fue excepcional (la salsa de tamarindo con el magret de pato : demasiado liquida y dulce). Los cócteles bien pero tampoco extraordinarios. Fuimos decepcionados y no regresaremos

   My husband, friend and I visited Tamarindos to kill time before our flight to Flores. My husband and I each ordered a smoothie, him the red and I ordered the green. The green was good. The red was way too heavy on the beet juice - it tasted so bitter. We ordered the aguacate for starters. They were good. The sauce served with them made the dish. My husband order the pollo pad Thai and I ordered the crispy shrimp. His pad Thai, again, was decent. The crispy shrimp was questionable. I wasn’t aware they would be whole shrimp. They tasted a bit odd and smelled fishy. I couldn’t finish. My friend had the pork belly and fries which tasted alright. Overall I had high hopes given the high Google rating but I wouldn’t recommend. Not a very good value - probably the most expensive meal we’ve had in Guatemala so far and definitely far from the best.
