Great food, great ambience. Wine selection was extensive and cocktails were delicious. Perfect for a romantic date night
We thought the food was average, extremely small portions as well. Overall not good value for money in my opinion.

Lovely venue , great staff who are so knowledgeable on the menu and looked after my vegan diet requirements . Atmosphere was great for us just after lockdown will be back shortly , the samosa was the best we ever had

The food was delicious and the wine pairing spot on. We had an excellent time and would definitely eat here again. The scallops were particularly tasty.

There was a waiter from Bosnia, I don’t know his name, he was very kind to us and smile all the time. Thanks to him and all Tamarind staff.
We had a 2.30 lunch table which is the last lunch service and it felt a bit rushed. We couldn't have the tasting menu.
We shared a delicious selection of dishes from the vegan menu. It is great to have a separate menu. Food and service excellent and they very kindly made a vegan chocolate pudding with a candle for my friend’s birthday, a lovely surprise. Highly recommended.
The food is exquisite if you are planning to order small plates and mains. I would recommend placing the order at the same time and notifying the waiter you would like a delay between courses. Otherwise the delay could be lengthy between courses
We had the set lunch. Great value, a good range of dishes and flavours. Would recommend.
Excellent food but poor very Covid precautions for a restaurant of this calibre. No temperature taken on the door, no mandatory use of hand sanitiser on entry. Distances between tables were awful and frankly seemed no different to what I would’ve expected pre-Covid, regularly saw waiting staff with masks pulled down over their nose.
I’ve been here 5+ times for the food but certainly won’t be returning while Covid is ongoing, unless they improve their safety precautions.
Small plates and grills were amazing, mains were good - really special - but we ordered as advised and it was way too much, so we were struggling by the time we got to mains.
Service was both charming and ultra competent. One of the best fine dining Indian restaurants we’ve been to.

My wife and I had another excellent lunch at Tamarind just before lockdown. The food was wonderful and cooked just right with none of the dishes overpowered by the spices (something that other Indian restaurants need to better understand). It's a real joy eating delicately yet well-flavoured Indian food with just the right kick. The wine selection was paired down but it's good enough and the pistachio lassi is a real delight. As usual, the service was professional, courteous and friendly with all necessary Covid-related precautions in place which we appreciated. We look forward to returning when restrictions are lifted!
We’ve been going to Tamarind since the restaurant opened and it has remained on our top 5 list ever since. The food is inventive, refined and beautiful executed, so typically Indian in its wide range of flavours and spices but with a unique take.

I took my husband to celebrate his 40th birthday at the end of October 2020. We had the gourmet tasting menu with the wine pairings which was absolutely incredible. This was without doubt the best meal we have ever eaten, and we have been lucky enough to eat in many fabulous restaurants. Every mouthful was delicious, I want to pick a favourite course but I really did love them all, the seasbass, chicken, lobster, lamb, curry, the biriyani, chocolate fondant. And each mouthful was made even better by the accompanying wine. Service was also brilliant, super friendly and very knowledgable. Thanks to the whole team for giving us such a memorable evening, we have recommended to all friends and family, and will be back!

Amazing oh my gosh i can't rave about this place enough. I've been here few times but the food today was sooooo good!!! Every single dish was wow. And service was perfect, really made our anniversary special. Thank you!
The food was absolutely amazing and great variety. We had the tasting menu and it was outstanding.
Absolutely delicious meal. Every dish was well considered, great flavours and textures. Cocktails were unusual but also delicious and fun to try. Wine list was extensive and gave a good choice to suit different tastes and wallets but tailored to suit Indian cuisine. We went en famille and all three teenage children devoured the food and we needed to order seconds of the Chole chaat (street food) for them. Lovely vegetarian options too. The service was discreet but friendly. It was a midweek in tier 2 lockdown so the atmosphere was understandably a little subdued. Our favourite masala chai has a different balance of cardamom to other spices but that was a tiny issue. The puddings were also surprisingly good.
