Tamara's Bistro - National Hotel
The decor is refreshing with a colorful mosaic ceiling depicting an Art Deco scene. Views of the infinity pool and an al fresco dining patio make for a relaxing atmosphere at Tamara's Bistro.
The breakfast menu allows for either buffet dining or à la carte ordering. For lunch, enjoy the catch of the day prepared one of three ways. The Tamara's Bistro Paella Valencia is a favorite at dinner.
This place is a gem. It’s very 1920’s. It’s fine dining at it’s best. The place is under renovations, and it is not a kid friendly place. But the service is excellent.
My husband and I have been to that restaurant two years in a row for Valentine’s Day. They are amazing! The service is warm and friendly and accurate. Even though Covid has impacted everybody, their menu is not what it used to be however the items they do have are excellent. I was told they’re going to have your full menu available this week. Definitely visit this restaurant if you are in town the view is wonderful and you are seated toward the rear of the hotel and you have a beautiful view of their pool, Which is all lit up at night.
The food was very good. The service could have been better. Never got my coffee that I ordered with dessert and a few other things were off because the waiter was not very attentive. The fact that they already include the tip in the check I’m sure is not motivating enough for wait staff to be extra attentive. Other than that, the food was tasty.
The menu seemed reasonable, but the evening we hoped to dine there, Google showed they were closed. We called to verify and they were surprised because indeed they were open and encouraged us to make a reservation. Upon arrival, a very snooty front desk fellow told us they do not allow anyone under 21. We explained that Open Table allowed the reservation, and that they hadn’t mentioned that on the phone. When we told him that was ridiculous, he said “actually it’s a very good concept. We are the first adult only hotel in Miami.”
Open Table info says nothing about over 21, Google was incorrect, and no one on the phone gave this info—so now our family of 6 had no reservation on a busy evening. And all the snooty fellow wants to do is defend the hotel’s “concept”? We took our family to a much nicer place and spent our money there.
I was satisfied with my dining experience at Tamara’s Bistro. I had the breakfast buffet, which gives a variety of options from fruit to bacon and waffles for $19. This includes unlimited oj and coffee. I would recommend dining here if you are in the Miami Beach area.
We had the burger and a Caesar salad. The meat was flavorful and arrived cooked according to our request. The salad was fresh; the accompanying rolls were excellent. The service was superb; warm and attentive.
Tamara's Bistro used to be near the top of my go-to dependable list of places to take out-of-town visitors, but my last 3 visits in the past year have been underwhelming. The service is slow and unsure, and the quality of the food has decreased dramatically for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The ambience remains, but with so many other options to choose from, it will be a long time before I return, unfortunately.
A bit of a hidden gem. A beautiful art deco bar and restaurant. Excellent service. A limited menu and wine list but excellent quality and exceptional value. Highly recommend having dinner then linger for live entertainment and a drink by the bar and take a walk along the remarkable 70 meter swimming pool.
Limited menu. We were only ones dining. Although it’s advertised as Mediterranean, it really isn’t.
The service of these two waitress Ilijana and Max people is spectacular kindness performance in her work my husband and I very happy with your service. 👍🏼
Breakfast buffet is small and not really worth the money.
The food and service was impeccable. A very nice spot to celebrate with love ones.
La verdad el buffet de desayuno es muy pobre y demasiado caro
The buffet breakfast was absolutely amazing. Very reasonably priced, great choice of dishes and very friendly service. We had a 10 month old baby with us and we felt very looked after by the crew. Will be back when we are in Miami next!
Excellent fun experience. I suggest the sampling menu.
Excellent food and - excellent view - Our waitress from Serbia super attentive and fast.
Had lunch at Tamara's Bistro as part of Miami spice on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Service was very good, we had the shrimp risotto and it was good enough. The hotel pool is beautiful. Very nice ambiance.
One of my favorite places in South Beach. Not so crowded, not so laud, great food and service, and live music.
This place has so much potential, but it was empty. Also, the lighting was bright for an evening dinner. It would have been better with table lighting. There was one server for the entire outdoor space, but she was rarely there.
Great atmosphere, really good food and fabulous servers!! Thank you!!
The food and service was absolutely wonderful. The view and ambiance was beautiful. 10/10 recommend.
Thought this would be a good restaurant but when you are served a French onion soup where the broth is so thin it looks like colored water and you have two pieces of bread placed on top with some melted cheese on it, you do not really look forward to the next course. No taste, no flavor, poorly executed, is all I can say about the soup. The steaks that we ordered were minimal in portion and you were served A few vegetables with it. There are many other restaurants much better than this as their reply for the soup problem was “ we did take it off your bill”. I would have preferred to have had a beautiful French onion soup which I thought I would get and a much better meal.
Beautiful, elegant, and delicious food. I will definitely be back!
The decor here is very chic with indoor and outdoor seating and view of the pool. Brunch was a nice assortment of options - we had eggs Benedict and omelette with side choice of potatoes or fruit. Food was fresh, well presented and delicious. Moderately priced.
