Let Talulla's be a special part of your New Year's celebration! We are open New Year's Eve with our celebratory menu.We will be offering a 3 Course Pre-Fixe menu.
First time there & it was wonderful. We understood it was a Sunday night & they only had 2 wait staff. Our waitress was extremely nice & as attentive as she could be given the circumstances. Food was amazing!
Atmosphere inside was gorgeous. Can't wait to go again😁
Very good appetizers and drinks! The sea bass had bones and the head on which I was not expecting. Tasted good though.
We had the special, Sea Bass, and it was cooked to PERFECTION. DELICIOUS!
A surcharge for using a credit card to pay for dinner can ruin an otherwise good experience. Having been there a dozen times or more for the rather expensive but absolutely delicious Bronzino, I wonder if I have been scammed every time. It is not the $2.68 surcharge that is the issue. It is the clearly intentional lack of transparency that is dishonorable.
They could just raise the price of the fish to $32. and be Southern, be gracious, be honorable.
Scammed once is a lesson, scammed twice….
Wonderful food and friendly wait staff. Sampled many different mezzas.
Our table of 4 had a variety of small plates, and every one was exquisite! Our server was helpful--she answered all of our questions and gave us a few great suggestions--and very patient. We sat outside, which was lovely and not too noisy. All in all, a prefect evening.
Good food well prepared and served by a courteous staff. The restaurant has a great menu and the prices are reasonable.
Excellent as always
As always, a wonderful place to dine. Open on Sunday. Unpretentious. Great service. Excellent, satisfying, delicious food. Always a meal that deserves repetition.
Fish was overcooked
Shawarma was brisket not real shawarma
Appetizers sample all in one place tiny portion
Waiter with a superiority complex attitude
Not worth the money spent
The food was mediocre at best.
Great food and wonderful waiter, we loved the ambience
Ranks with NYC great Turkish restaurants like Pera. We will make this a regular hang out as new members of the community.
Not to be missed.
Sat outside. Excellent food.
So delicious, great informative service and a great selection of fresh food!
Great food! It was very busy, so service was a little slow, but I didn’t mind because the food was tasty and the owner/staff were so friendly.
Great food with a depth and breadth of flavor that's hard to find. Place is feeling a little worn overall, but food is amazing.
Talulla's, as always, was amazing! It has long been a family favorite for special events, this Father's Day included. The sea bass was delectable, as were the zucchini fritters. The guvec is a long time family favorite as well. I would highly recommend Talulla's for the otherworldly food and atmosphere that special occasions call for. It will not disappoint.
WE have never had a bad meal at Talulla's; however our recent experience was not our best. The restaurant was crowded, so we waited about 20 minutes before a waiter came to take our order. I had a sea bass special which was tasty but dry. My fellow dinners had traditional favorites which were much more fulfilling. The appetizer was delicious, as the wine and beer. We will surely return soon and expect to have a better total experience.
I’ve had the hummus appetizer many times. What went wrong last evening? It was bland, watery and (horrors!) no pine nuts. The Sultan Delight lamb was very tasty, but the wait staff should have explained that it was a shank rather than cubed lamb. So the meal was adequate, but not up to Talulah standards.
Food was generally hood but a bit pricey. Deserts were so-so. I would go back again but focus more in their specials.
The food was excellent. We were sitting outside when it began to rain heavily and the staff helped us move inside and find a table quickly!
It was wonderful returning to this excellent restaurant after more than a year. The food is wonderful, especially the iskander which is only available a couple times a week. The service was really good. The noise level is back up to loud because the place was packed. Its great to be back.
Service was great. Cool little restaurant. We had the olive & cheese appetizer, as well as tomato & cucumber salad. Also the dumplings with vegetables & zucchini fritters. House bread and dip was awesome. For our mains my husband had the roasted tomato & vegetable baked casserole with shrimp & I had the grilled chicken on creamy eggplant. Best meal we’ve had in a long time. I highly recommend!
Servers knowledgeable of celiac. Only two servers plus host. Eat early
The service was not as good as it has been in the past, but then we were there during graduation weekend, so it's to be expected. Food was good, as always.
My wife and I had the 3-course, prix fixe dinner, with some interesting choices for each course. The service was excellent, we were given a private-like cubby, and the food was very good, though a bit pricey.
My first time at this charming spot, but will not be the last. Beautiful rugs on the wall make the room feel cozy and keep the noise level comfortable. All the dishes were delicious. The Turkish salad and the grilled whole fish were outstanding.
Great food. Very fun space. Service was prompt and polite.
The food did not dissapoint at all! We will definitely be back.
Lovely as always. Thank you for making time for us to sit in the alcove. Dinner was perfect.
I surprised a group of students and Tallulla’s was perfect for safe outdoor dining. The only thing lacking was more people working. The restaurant was pretty full and they were only about three or four people taking orders and serving. Despite that though we were able to order plenty of different toppers and enjoyed so many different dishes. Everyone got to try some thing we had a leisurely dinner and really enjoyed the location. And on Saturday nights Chapel Hill has live music downtown which is amazing. We highly recommend the Mazze platter the chicken and the cheese pide and the eggplant casserole dish. They had a great special of a whole branzino that we enjoyed as well.
Awesome yet again
Food is always spectacular and interesting. Great place for Turkish flavors.
My sons birthday.
The food was really good. Something outside of the traditional eats.
Can get a little pricey though.
Service was great.
Delicious Turkish food cooked by a family that really cares. Homemade bread (I ate almost the entire basket) with a tasty, peppery dipping sauce starts all meals. The special of the day — imported fresh anchovies were succulent. Wish I lived in Chapel Hill so I could return often.
We visited last year and had a great meal. This time food was barely warm, tasted as if it had been just heated up in microwave. Seasoning and flavor not there. Must be new chef or owner.
Cocktails were too sweet.
Service awful. The waiter got too busy inside. We won’t go back.
A lot of money for a bad meal and service.
Delicious food and good portions. And while the servers were absolutely splendid and polite, a few things were amiss - forgetting serving plates with the appetizers, bringing out the paid receipt without a pen until we asked for one.
The food and service were both outstanding. There is something on the menu for everyone.
