We tried the 5 course Indecision menu. It was a LOT of food but absolutely delicious. Each course was well prepared and presented. Also had lunch there one day. The sandwiches were tasty - really good potato salad. Highly recommend.

I’d describe the cuisine as innovative American. The soups rotate and are excellent. If the carrot soup is available DON’T MISS IT! We’re not big eaters but for those who are, portions were generous. Resies recommended. We were there on a Sunday and Monday and the place was full by 6:30.

Wow, is this place phenomenal! They have a great wine, beer, and cocktail menu and an excellent (to say least) menu! I ordered a Sauvignon to start and the off the menu vegetarian entree. Let’s talk about that vegetarian entree. To start off, the tofu was pan fried to perfection and was wonderful! The deep fried mushrooms melted in my mouth and the rice noodles were super flavorful!

Amazing service and great food. The beet salad was my favorite - so fresh and delicious! My husband really enjoyed the foie gras and loved the elk. The bone marrow was very good but our table differed in the nori butter - some loved it and some did not but it was easy to remove off the bread for those that did not like it as much. The baby back ribs were good too. My son did not care for a flavor in the alfredo sauce but the pasta was cooked perfectly. The server was amazing. She had a nice balance of attentiveness and leaving us alone to dine in peace. Great night. Thanks.

Our server was a wonderful young woman! The food was tasteless …a hard mass of fettuccine noodles with a sauce which tasted burned and tough pieces of buffalo meat. I had high expectations and we were disappointed.

This restaurant is always full. I like their breakfast and lunch menus the best! Dinner menu lacks variety. Dinner food is always good but I want a delicious steak or lobster which they don’t offer. (If they did, I bet they would prepare it deliciously. ) My wine was so good! I ordered a cabbage roll up appetizer which was filled with Pearl couscous and other veggies. It was overcooked in my opinion but okay. My beer cheese soup was DELISH. I ordered Alfredo /w chicken and found the Linguine undercooked, the chicken perfectly cooked and the Alfredo sauce meh. My partner ordered foie gras as an appetizer plus sweet potato soup …both of which he said were delicious. He also ordered the skirt steak and he enjoyed his meal. He said it was very good. We’ll dine here again but not frequently due to the Dinner menu lacking a variety of options.

Excellent place in downtown Rapid City! Two of us shared the mushroom appetizer — it was fantastic! Mixed sautéd mushrooms on bruschetta with goat cheese and balsamic drizzle. Nice pastas and salads that are tasty and well portioned. Great wait staff and friendly ambience.

Always great food and a good time at Tally's Silver Spoon. Bison Maytag Marsala is one of the best meals to be had anywhere in the Black Hills...guaranteed! But all their selections are top notch, along with their wines and beverages. Out oft owners, don't miss a meal at Tally's!

Bizarre. Can't tell if this was some type of highly unusual "fusion" restaurant, or whoever composed the menu was trying to tell a joke that no one--including the wait staff--got. Went for dinner and despite having a reservation were given worst seats in the house, constantly jostled by wait staff who though squeezing between tightly packed tables with their rear-ends in our faces while they addressed adjoining tables somehow enhanced our experience. Beet salad had several pencil eraser sized cubes of beets, a smattering of beet puree and a couple of dehydrated beet chips atop a huge mound of frisée. Beet salad was served with a wedge of Blue Cheese and topped with fried pork chunks--not what I imagined. Half of my root beer bison was delicious and the other tough as shoe leather. Accompanying potato puree was overly salted and had chunks of celeriac; all truly weird. Overall, the menu was like a lost cowboy wandering the Korean countryside. This restaurant is rather pretentious but fails to deliver.

It was amazing as always! Unfortunately the main reason we go is for the indecision menu and they have increased their prices substantially. The 3 course which was $30 is now $45. While the food is truly delicious and a wonderful experience, I'm not sure it's a splurge we'll be able to do anymore. Spending the $30 before was already an extravegance we felt guilty about on our budget. An extra $15 pushes our budget even more over the edge. Talley's is a truly wonderful place fine dining food and a wonderful atmosphere! It just happens to be out of our budget at the moment.

From the outside the restaurant looks like a diner however once you are inside, the restaurant is warm and inviting with a modern flair. The food was fantastic. (We Had the bison and the pheasant dishes.). Jeff, our server, was friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this establishment.
