Grilled Cajun Swordfish
Great Place, glad we found it!
Always a good meal
Italian food done right. From the calamari to the chicken parm, every plate came out with the most delicious food and topped the night with a great cup of coffee. Staff were attentive and the atmosphere was clean and family friendly.
Amazing food, restaurant was at full capacity and was a little behind but the service was great and we were very well taken care of. Made for a great date with the great food and drinks!
Always great food and service, a gem and it’s local!
Our best kept secret dining out location. Always great food and service!
Service was fantastic and the food was delish! Portion sizes were quite generous.
Were sent to Tall Ho from our hotel, (courtyard) the drive was short, our waitress Kristine was outsatnding very pleasant, food was delicious, would highly recommend!
I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone and anyone! From the moment we walked in until the moment we left everything was amazing. Great Italian food with a very fresh feel to everything. We had a muscles appetizer from the specials, red snapper and a real special as well. I recommend the lemon mascarpone cake!
Excellent food, classic cocktails, old school service. We will definitely be back.
Celebrated my Mom’s 91st birthday! Service was great & food was amazing, as always!
We had a cozy little alcove with a table for 4 that was nice and bright with a window. They did not over book and were Covid compliant with the tables. The look inside was very deceiving from outside. This was our first time here and have to say it was very nice, Food was delicious and our server Nancy was great! What a great personality and on top of things. We had Chicken Francese, Cajun Swordfish, stuffed Shrimp & Shrimp chicken and Filet Mignon Scampi romano ! Outstanding altho I could have used a bit more pasta with the dishes, But still very good. Dessert did not disappoint, we had choc mousse cake, NY cheese cake, Tartufo, and the best was the Lemoncello chake that was to die for. Again the slice could have been a tad bit bigger. Over all it was a great experience, highly recommend it. Just remember to Look closely for it on the road because if you dont' know where it is you may pass it by and have to turn around, very deceiving from outside ! 5 STARS !!!
Best kept secret! This place is phenomenal! Very well ran. FOOD IS ALWAYS AMAZING! My fav entree is flounder fra cause. My husband loves their veal (Marsala) with eggplant & prosciutto. Whatever you choose it’s always perfect! Very CLEAN & GREAT VALUE for both food & alcohol! Great neighborhood restaurant!!!
Considering that the name is very English, they have some of the best Italian food I have had. Their specials were excellent. The seafood dishes are incredible. In fact, we were only going to go their once, but returned the next night. Portions are really big. Prepare to bring some home for a light lunch.
Met some colleagues fir dinner fir the first time in a long time! Service was great; everyone enjoyed their meal. I had chicken prosciutto special... came with salad and side. Delicious!
Would highly recommend
Food was under cooked & over priced. Didn’t have enough servers so was very slow.
I had the Sole Francese... SOOOOOO good
Don't go by name of restaurant...It's Norther Italian... And sorry I didn't discover this restaurant sooner!
We love Tally Ho. Food is consistently delicious and the service is always great. The broiled seafood platter is my favorite off the special menu. We tried the artichoke francaise (also special) which was yummy and then fought to mop up the wonderful sauce with bread. My husband loves their Veal Marsala. Make reservation if going on weekend. We will continue to go back and highly recommend it.
A lovely dinner celebrating Valentine’s Day with the special man in our lives, our grandfather.
Always an excellent meal.
Overall, good experience. Food was good and reasonably priced. Good atmosphere. Service was ok. Overall, a good place for causal meal.
Very good traditional Italian food Great service Cute little private booths perfect for COVID dining
Great place , great food and nice atmosphere
Have not been here in over a year due to Covid. Food is still excellent and staff is very attentive. Management adheres to all Covid precautions.
Fantastic food at great prices - staff is super friendly and efficient -
a hidden treasure!
It was perfect .
There was a problem with the kitchen staff. It was apparent they could not get their act together, people who came in after us were served and left before our food ever came out. It took 1 1/2 hours from the time we ordered dinner for it to come out of the kitchen. Our salads and bread came out in a timely manner but the entrees took forever. The food was very good except for a steak which was ordered medium and arrived well done, it was not sent back for fear of how long it might take to get it back. The waiter and the owner were very apologetic and gave us a few complimentary drinks and dessert. It was too bad because we had heard very positive things about this place and it has good food in a nice setting. We will probably try it again at another time to see if the kitchen gets it’s self in order.
Love the Ho
They were short wait staff last night but they made it work. I had the stuffed shrimp, it was wonderful. The shrimp were cooked perfectly.
What I love about coming here is that they really seem to care about your dining experience.
WE GO HERE ALOT FOOD AND SERVICE IS ALWAYS VERY GOOD.
We were looking for a restaurant near the outlet mall and decided on Tally Ho. It turned out to be a good decision. Great food, nice restaurant, and a friendly staff. Would go back again.
Would definitely go back!! Food was great!! Service was great!! Such a fantastic time!!!!
Everything was great
The food at this restaurant is excellent. Service was very good also. Was very happy with our choice.
Went there on a Monday evening so was not busy, a few couples having dinner and about 6 people at the bar. Server was not familiar with the specials at all, and did not seem that familiar with the dishes on the menu. Given the number of patrons, service was initially a little on the slow side, but then picked up a bit. The salad and bread were on par with an upscale diner rather than a restaurant. The main course was well prepared, and what it lacked in subtlety and intensity was made up for by a relatively generous portion, although it wasn't supersized. the dessert options just didn't sound worth it. The cab they were pouring by the glass was better than communion wine and about on par with a wine that comes in gallon bottles in the supermarket.
The noise level was very low, but then again there were not a lot of people there. The ambiance was that of a neighborhood restaurant, on par with or a bit better than some chain restaurants.
Given the food quality and ambiance, the price seemed just a tiny bit high, generating a value of okay but not good.
Overall, not a bad meal at all, but not great either, really just okay. There didn't seem to be a lot of choices in the local area (open on a Monday) within a 20 minute drive. When I eat out I shoot for good, so if I'm in the area again I'd probably drive the extra 20 minutes.
We always enjoy going to the Tally Ho, it’s a nice local place with good food. I got the grilled swordfish which was very good. It came with a salad and a choice of potato or pasta. If you lie garlic, you must get the house dressing, it’s superb! My husband got the rigatoni special which he said was terrific.
It’s a nice casual place to go when we don’t feel like cooking and want something better than a diner!
One more thing: parking is a nightmare! Be patient and creative!
The service on the night we were there was terrible. It wasn't crowded at all, we waited almost 40 minutes between courses. Food was good, but felt.like we were forgotten numerous times
Went there with my family. Food is amazing. Best chicken Marasla in NJ. We’ll be back.
