We ordered Porchetta and the Gnocchi dishes which were fantastic!
Pasta mushroom dish had no flavor. The bean salad was very good.
Went to Talia on a Saturday night. The restaurant had limited indoor and outdoor seating due to Pandemic. The hostess and server were very attentive and knowledgeable. The Negroni made at Talia is the best in Pittsburgh. Also, you have to get the meatball appetizer!
Went to celebrate our new home purchase. These are very difficult times under trying restrictions with coronavirus. Talia made the best of it. They kept everyone safe and served an excellent meal. They deserve kudos!
Everything was delicious . My gnocchi with veal sauce was a little salty. Everything else was very good. The beans and greens were really only beans but tasty . The service was brilliant .
My first time at Talia was mediocre. The restaurant was beautiful and clean and we were promptly seated for our reservation (around June during COVID). Our waitress recommends great cocktails and an excellent red wine. We ordered appetizers and main dishes (meatballs, pork, pasta, steak). The food has good flavor but everything was barely room temperature or freezing cold. There were only two other tables in the place so this seems unacceptable for every single dish to be cold. I think this place has lots of potential and I’m hoping it was just an off night, I want to go back and try again!
The Porchetta was outstanding. The service was attentive without interupting conversations
Everything was perfect!
Great to have this restaurant back. Service and food were excellent. New risotto and seafood special was if the restaurant didn’t miss a beat . Rachel a great server, knew the menu and wine list well. Definitely be back.
My linguine dish was delicious and my husband enjoyed the gnocchi. The roasted olives are not to be missed!
I think we would have really enjoyed dining at the bar area that overlooks the kitchen. That always intrigues me.
The only thing that bothered me was the house red wine. It was served cold and I couldn't enjoy the flavor of the wine until well into my entree.
Excellent meal. The Meatball and Bread basket appetizers were delicious and a good value. Creative cocktails by the bar staff offered lots of drink options. For entrees we had the Margherita Flatbread and Gnocchi and both were excellent. We will return in the future.
Everything was exceptional, service, the atmosphere, the food was delicious and very accommodating. 10/10 will be coming back. Thank you to everyone who made my first experience there amazing.
Amari are magnificent.
Love the fresh and innovative food.
Satisfied hearty eaters, salad eaters and gfree eaters.
Not happy that diners are excluded from Happy Hour specials.
This is one of my go to places. The food has always been good and the service is fantastic. The bartenders give great drink recommendations as well as food. I asked to make a change to my dinner by removing an item and he made a recommendation of something to add in it’s place that made it even better! And you can’t beat the value if you go to the bar during happy hour. I’ve introduced this place to multiple people, all of whom have said they will go back. If you haven’t been, you need to try it.
Excellent food and service.
I have wanted to stop here for dinner for a while. The online menu is a bit larger than the current menu. I had the broccolini and ricotta gnocchi . My friend had the strip. Everything was really great! I will dine here again.
Excellent food and drinks. Decent value for the area
It was my first time dining at Talia this past Saturday and I was very impressed. The waiter we had was very patient and helpful when my date and I had questions. We did two appetizers, the bread and romaine salad. Both came out quickly. The only thing was that we had to wait a little long on getting our glasses of wine. Not a huge deal since we were busy chatting and had a whole bottle of water at the table already. I’d highly recommend this place but definitely look at the menu before you go! Dress and vibe is classy and a great date spot if you’re looking for somewhere fancy for a special occasion or a nicer Italian place!
Went for Valentine's Day. Talia is in a great location across the street from the Kimpton and Omni hotels with parking in the Mellon Square Garage across the street. This smallish Italian restaurant has a warm feel to it and the service level was very good. We had pasta and roasted pork dishes that we liked very well.
My boyfriend and I went here for Valentine’s Day and the food was amazing. We would definitely recommend! There were a few tables around us and the bar that was quite noisy, but we expected that since it was Valentine’s Day. Overall, the food was a little expensive but you get what you pay for!
Reaturaunt was cold, the service was okay, but the portions were very small for the large prices.
The food was delicious, but expensive. Maybe not worth the price.
It was perfect food was amazing. Staff gave great recommendations. Will definitely come here again.
New menu. More expensive and my favorite dish was gone. Got the porchetta. It was really fatty and not much meat. We used to love this place.
The porcetta was a pile of tepid thick cut fat that took forever to get to the table.
ALWAYS dine here when Im in Pittsburgh. Food has creative pairings and served by a passionate team. Wine lust perfect for this wine snob too
We were blown away by the service we received at Talia this evening. I, along with my husband and teenage daughter, made a reservation for 6:30 a week in advance. We were planning to grab dinner before the Jim Gaffigan show at PPG. Parking was a bit more difficult that we anticipated and we arrived at the hostess stand at 6:45. I apologized for being late and was completely understanding when she told me we would need to wait for the next available table. I did let her know that we were going to the 8:00 show. We stepped to a table in the bar and within minutes, Melissa (I’m assuming a manager) came over to us and asked it we wanted a drink from the bar. My husband ordered a glass of wine and when he tried to pay she said it was on her. The next thing we know she’s bringing us a small plate of prosciutto, fresh mozzarella and pickled veggies. So yummy!! Since we were still waiting I ordered a glass of what my husband was drinking. That was on the house as well. The first thing available were three seats at the bar overlooking the kitchen. Melissa immediately got us water and said if we knew what we wanted she’d take our order. We did and she did. Then our waitress came over and introduced herself (Julia). Again, so kind and apologetic. I don’t want to ramble on...I think this is only the 2nd review I’ve ever written in my 47 years so m not great at it, but I knew when we left that this was the type of service you want to make a big deal out of. This was customer service at it’s finest. The food was wonderful as well. People have mentioned that it’s ridiculous you have to pay for the bread, but the prices are so reasonable that paying a few dollars for really great bread is actually worth it! We will absolutely go back to Talia. Thanks to the folks there that made what could’ve been a difficult evening a very pleasant and memorable first visit there.
After a terrible experience a few years ago our current visit was a pleasant surprise. Service was excellent and food was significantly improved. Looking forward to the upcoming new menu.
New Year’s Eve menu. Excellent courses. Wine pairings. Great service.
A group of seven had lunch there to celebrate a colleague. Our waiter (wish I could remember his name - he looks a little like Brian Austin Green lol - was fabulous. He was very knowledgeable and attentive. We had the Brussels which were delicious, the pulled pork gnocci, and the scallops. My only complaint would be that for $16 I only received 2 scallops, but they were delicious on a bed of creamy polenta. I will be back. They have a cute little bar area that I would like to try as well.
I took my staff to Talia for our Christmas lunch. The food was excellent! We enjoyed the brussel sprouts, soup, pizza, risotto and pulled chicken sandwich. Several said they would go back for sure! Thanks for making the lunch such an enjoyable experience!
Took a party of 11 to Talia on a Sat night and couldn't have been happier. Our waitress was top notch, very attentive, knowledgeable and had great recommendations. The restaurant is smallish but they easily accommodated our large group with plenty of room. The food all came out together, was very tasty, and every item was just as ordered. One of our group asked for a modification and the quickly and gladly accommodated it. Great place. Highly recommend this place. We will be back.
Our waiter was great and very knowledgeable about the menu. The food was good and overall the space was relatively quiet and comfortable. We had an enjoyable dinner.
Great tasting food . Nice wine list. We will visit again..taking train from South Hills. Easy traveling.
We had the best dinner before heading to the hockey game. Delicious swordfish special and always yummy pasta dishes, superb drinks!! Our table of 9 was so happy!
Great Italian food and a great location . We will be going to this restaurant again for any overnight stays in the city
Good place for dinner before a show. Lively atmosphere and got us in and out in a reasonable amount of time.
Went there on Light Up Night with kids (ages 12 & 15), very limited menu, food fair and not worth the price. Spent a lot of money on a very average meal. My kids will try anything and don't require a kids menu but didn't like this place.
i had never been here before. i was pleasantly surprised to find it an outstanding evening. would definitely recommend.
Took the family to Talia before the Pens game. Apps were good, main course was the basil fettuccine, which could use a little more flavor. My wife had the pepper gemelli and that was really good. Finished the night with the featured cheesecake for dessert.
