Best restaurant experience since the start of COVID! We were thoroughly impressed!
AMAZING! Food was delicious and we had great service.
Loved it! Great restaurant
Our server was wonderful!!
This was our first visit to Talia. We had a 10/10 experience - excellent service + food. Upon arrival we were immediately seated for our reservation that respected our Open Table requests. Both the Hostess and Server independently acknowledged our special occasion which made it clear they read the Open Table notes. That acknowledgement and the use of proper pronouns for all members of our party throughout the evening gave us a sense that they really cared about our experience.
Reviews on: Lasagna, Spare-rib Gnocchi, Brussels Sprouts, Tiramisu and Non-alcoholic beverages - Spoiler everything was delicious!
We don’t typically go out for Italian but chose this restaurant for Lasagna night and the person we were celebrating. All of us would order the same dishes again though we’re confident there are more gems on the menu that we have yet to try
Lasagna: We had a classic beef bolognese lasagna (type rotates weekly) that was rich and tasty with a fresh dollop of ricotta on top. It was an elevated version of lasagna that had the flavor profile of a heritage classic recipe
Short-rib gnocchi: The short-rib was amazing with a flavor profile similar to a hearty beef bourguignon with generous sized and plump yet not overwhelming gnocchi. I don’t typically like either and would go back just to have the dish for myself having tasted it from another person in our party.
Brussels sprouts: the Brussels sprouts were perfectly cooked though I found the pork to be the star of this dish. It was a cue that Talia is a restaurant capable of many great entree types
Tiramisu: creamy yet airy, delicious yet not overly sweet, garnished w perfectly sized pizzelle
Italian Sodas: Sodas are lightly effervescent with a fresh fruit juice added that offered a full-bodied flavor that was refreshing and substantial- the perfect pairing to a dish when you are looking for a non-alcoholic beverage that feels like it adds to the experience rather than missing out on a great wine menu
Great food, great service!
It was disappointing. When I reserved I added a note that it was my daughter's birthday and nobody acknowledged it... not when they sat us nor during the meal.
The food was ok (focaccia very good, the pizza was below average, the lamb was ok). Our waitress was ok.
I had high expectations and instead it wasn't a memorable experience.
The foccacia, lamb shank and pasta were excellent! Loved the ambiance and we had an awesome server. Will definitely be back!
Delicious dinner when visiting for Pitt Family Weekend. Highly recommend!
Really nice overall experience. Our server was awesome. Great energy in the space. Friendly and welcoming.
The atmosphere and the food and the staff was excellent. The prices were a little higher than I had expected, but I’m sure with the way things are now they were comparable in the market. Nice place clean nice manager nice bartender nice waitress great experience.
Very nice ambiance with tasty lasagne and great drinks! We had a fun evening!
The Talia pizza was excellent! Best pizza I’ve had this side of Italy.
Delicious burrata and short rib gnocchi. Bar service was very slow.
New York City’s favorite restaurant of ours was matched by outstanding culinary delights last night. Portions are very generous so we spent our meal sharing one focaccia, one small salad and one pasta. Perfection all the way.
Overall amazing!!! From drinks to service - top notch!!
The food was beyond amazing. Gnocchi especially. The service was on point.
We enjoyed our meal, the food was good, service was very good!
But, there was a live musician and it was just too loud. We wanted to visit and chat, but not possible.
The burratta was to die for. Food was all around great, but my entree was a little underseasoned. Live music was so good! Service was a little slow, we were done with our appetizer by the time I got my glass of wine.
The new menu was outstanding. Service was great.
Great food and great service. A little loud but worth it.
The food, service and mixed drinks are very good.
First time at this restaurant and we were very surprised. Erin was our server and she did an awesome job taking care of us. We had appetizers, salads and a great entrees all of which were very fresh and prepared perfectly. I highly recommend Talia and we will be returning to try the fall menu.
Well it was a dinner for my husband’s Birthday. I’m not sure what happened but the waiter was not nice/pleasant. He basically stopped waiting on us. And when he took our plates, a piece of meat had fallen on the table. He proceeded to take a knife and stab the meat into the table to pick it up. He was very irritated. He then never came back to see if we wanted dessert nor did he offer any coffee, ask how things were etc. Never have been treated like this before. It was very uncomfortable. Basically slapped the bill down on the table and walked away. None of us could figure out what happened. Disappointing dinner at a restaurant that we love.
Awesome service and food!
We had so much fun at Talia with friends. Eric and Zach made us very creative cocktails to get started. Melissa did a fantastic job as our server. We loved all of our food that included Porchetta, pork chops, traditional pizza and fig & beet salad. There is such a good vibe at Talia with all of the staff---we'll be back very soon!
Overall it was a very pleasant experience. My date and I enjoyed the pasta dishes more so than the meats. The service was good and the house made focaccia was delicious. The drinks were tasty and the restaurant was very clean. If I was craving pasta and a night out I’d go back but the porchetta was a bit of a letdown.
It was just all wonderful, exactly what I’ve been missing. Thank you for meeting possibly exceeding my expectations!
Great service and food
The food was very good. Our server, Erin, was the perfect combination of friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back.
Erin was our waitress and she was OUTSTANDING!!! I haven’t had this level of service in Pgh since before the pandemic.
All of our food was amazing! We will be frequenting Talia!
Great Food! Great ambience! Great service!
I honestly can’t say enough good things about our experience. The food was heavenly, service was superb.
A friend and I ate here following a concert in town. We were seated outside as requested. During our entire meal, a couple large travel buses were parked next to us idling. After a while, we became used to the sound and tuned it out. Not the restaurant’s fault of course, but it did detract from the ambiance. Something to be aware of if you choose to sit outside there. Otherwise, our experience was very good. Food was quite tasty and the service was excellent. Will eat here again.
Executive Chef Nick so talented and hard working in open kitchen. Food is amazing! Excellent wait staff and service. We had a great experience there. Home made pasta, porchetta, and grilled pound cake with gelato. What’s not to love??
Amazing! Always a great experience! Excellent food and service. Love this place and we visit whenever in the area!
A wonderful location with very tasty food and snappy service. The food is rich and original... My favorite downtown and beyond.
We had a really nice experience at this restaurant. The food was amazing and so were the drinks. I recommend their espresso martinis!
Good was very good. Service was slow and inconsistent.
