Booked this restaurant for my husband's birthday - he spent many years working in Turkey and we have fond memories of the Taksim area. For nostalgia, I surprised him with dinner reservation here. Food was nice and fresh and reminiscent of the turkish food we enjoyed there. The twist on the food here at Taksim was the blend of using California ingredients. I did not care for the accoustics of the place - very loud when the place got busy. Service was ok.

Taksim has become our favorite SOMA restauran. Excellent, inventive food, fantastic service and a great setting. We particularly like the 7 course tasting dinner. A great selection and overview of the excellent food choices at Taksim. We continue to be very impressed with the excellent service at Taksim. All the servers are very knowledgeable about the food and ingredients. And their customer service is excellent.

This place was recommended by a local friend. I knew it’d be a great experience as soon as I walked in because of the smell! Divine. Everything we had was fantastic. Lots of creativity in the food design and flavors. If you love Mediterranean food, don’t miss it!
