excellent food excellent service.
Wonderful and exciting as usual, this is the best Japanese food in S Florida. The service is phenomenal.
Had reservations but ended up sitting at the bar. Great ambiance on the patio with the ocean and beach in view. Service at the bar was also great. Sushi was very high quality although very pricey. Will return for sure, nice date spot
We went for a dining experience. Unfortunately the music was so loud it was difficult to have a nice conversation. For four of us the bill was $600, for that kind of money I’d like to enjoy the meal. Food was great but very overpriced given the ambiance.
Best sushi ever
Great sushi and other dishes in Japanese or Korean style. Fordessert we had "ice cream sushi" ! Vanilla ice cream cut into sushi shapes with a chocolate sauce dip.
Food and service, outstanding. Music outside way too loud.
It was awesome! The only comment (and def not major) was that the mixed drinks are pretty weak. I would recommend this place to everyone!

Out of this world food!!! The freshest sushi I’ve ever eaten. It was pretty expensive, but worth it for the food quality. Our waiter, Pavlo was extremely helpful and just a genuinely nice person.
We sat outside for happy hour. Had the rock shrimp-delicious, gyoza-bland, angry chicken-a bit overcooked but yummy. A salmon roll-delicious, and a tuna roll also good. Sake and wine choices are great too!
The food here good. And I'm willing to pay a higher price for quality. Service was excellent by Francesca. We were lunching there. The Conrad's landscape contractor chose the lunch hour as the time to run those cursed blowers just outside the outdoor porch. Otherwise a good choice for fine yet casual dining.
Interesting menu, fresh seafood, lovely ambience
. Servers need to be better trained.
Our server Pavlo was fantastic. The sommelier was fun and friendly. Food was amazing. A perfect evening!
It was really wonderful!! It was such a fun evening and great food!
Amazing food, service and ambience. One of the best Kimchi rice I’ve ever had. Drinks by our favorite bartender, Pedro, simply the best. Awesome service by Mateo. Great conversation with manager, Sam. Can’t wait to be back. Your forever grateful client Jackie Figueroa and company.
I love this restaurant. The food is delicious and the service is great. Definitely coming back again :)
“Disgusting” sums up the incredibly poor service and experience.
Booked a table for the family to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. The waitress was ridiculous in terms of poor quality of service, poor attitude and incompetence. I kept a calm face to avoid disturbing my family, even as I watched a circus of service unfold.
The focus is clearly on selling you as many bottles of water as possible given that they charge eight dollars per bottle. For three adults and three kids, they immediately opened four bottles of water, then promptly mixed up the sparkling and still, and managed to spill half of it.
The table was dirty, and despite pointing it out twice, the very perfunctory cleaning did little to make us comfortable.
On a separate note, I wonder why they can’t afford tablecloths …
What should have been a pleasant experience was an exercise in patience and quietly tolerating extremely poor attitude because I did not want to ruin my daughter’s celebration.
The funniest part was, despite terrible service, and automatically adding 20% gratuity to the bill, she had the temerity to ask me if I would like to double the gratuity to 40%.
I don’t mind paying for service or for quality of food, but I do mind receiving neither. When you go out, you expect service and a pleasant experience neither of which we received, nor would we expect to receive if we went back.
Takato is a fusion restaurant between Japanese and Korean and had some interesting dishes. We had the short rib tacos, duck bun, sea bass fried rice and angry chicken. The tacos were favorable but small. The fried rice didn’t really have much fish in it that we could see. Decent food but overpriced but I guess it is expected in the tourist district. Overall enjoyable experience but not value for money.
We are staying at the Conrad ( which is amazing BTW), and decided to have dinner here for our last night. So happy we did! Wow! It was amazing. So good you don’t want to stop eating. Had Saki, sushi, and kimche. All were amazing. Restaurant is beautiful, on the water. Our waitress was so wonderful and very personable. Definitely must try!
Great experience. Outstanding food and drinks. Good service.
Specialty cocktails delicious! Everything we ate was fabulous! Definitely recommend.
Great atmosphere, great food, great service! Lets go.
Celebrated a birthday. Sushi ice cream was incredible!
I visit Takato’s often and always enjoy the food, drinks and ambiance. If I had one concern, it would be that they are now imposing a 1.5 hour table time limit on reservations for a parties of 2 (not sure of time limits for parties greater than 2). The restaurant has a tapas feel (grazing, food meant to be shared, etc) and the idea of stopping great conversation, food and drinks at 1.5 hours is disheartening.
Food and service were outstanding. This is our forth visit and it never dissapoints.
The service was impeccable.
Amazing food. Definitely pricey but worth it because it is all very authentic and original food. Looking forward to going back.
Excellent food, service and ambience outdoors. Quality and presentation were excellent, though the sushi/sashimi items tend to be a tad pricey but if high quality. Food comes out as prepared which can make for a rather quick succession of plates and can result in a rushed meal.
This is one of the best asian fusian restaurants anywhere.
Our waiter Pavlo was wonderful, he was extremely friendly and efficient. The food and drinks were delicious and the service was fast. We highly recommend this location!
We always have a great time and love the crispy Tuna.
The service was excellent. The person who took care of us was amazing. He checked on us multiple times. He went above and beyond to make our anniversary memorable. I wish I would of written down his name. The food is amazing. Smaller portions but it allows you to try more of the options they have. Overall great experience.
Probably my 10th visit. It’s always delicious. That’s why I celebrated my anniversary there last night
The service was excellent and so was the food. I recommend this restaurant.
I was little disappointed this time with Takato , overall food was good, but service was not good… they took a lot of time for everything, and to take our order as well.
A bit over priced but you’re paying for the view and location. Good food though
Great food, lovely atmosphere and service!
