    You can describe this place as exceptional. From ambiance, location to service and quality of food it did not disappoint. This was my second time here as I was visiting the city and both times it has lived up to expectation of a great restaurant. I normally order a regular martini or wine but their version of a Cosmopolitan was delicious. The wine selection was great too and it was hard to select the one we wanted with all the choices. Definitely order the Angry Chicken, sashimi...or everything. The yellowtail and lobster rolls melt in your mouth. Service was good and the ambiance of the modern furniture, green wall, backdrop of the ocean is amazing.

    The food was amazing, service was quick and knowledgeable. Our server created a tasting for us that went above and beyond. While all the food was amazing, the Hamachi and Sea Bass dinner were out of this world. Honorable mention to the Pork ribs and tuna foi gras. Will 100% be back.

    This was our first time at this restaurant. Our first impression was how loud it was, but that was because it was so crowded. Even though the atmosphere was enjoyable, other than the loudness, I think we would choose to eat outside next time. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive. We ordered several appetizers that she suggested and a few others that we picked to share. Everything was hot and delicious and arrived pretty quickly. We were pretty full after the appetizers so we ordered only two entrees that we shared. The food had a multitude of flavors that we thoroughly enjoyed. We will definitely return!

    We had a table overlooking the ocean, beautiful view. Our server was knowledgeable and very pleasant. The appetizers, Duck bao buns, Short Rib Kimchi Tacos and Octopus sashimi were amazing! The 3 rolls we got however Negi Toro, Eel and the Soft shell crab were definitely not something we were expecting. We were expecting the soft shell crab to be soft but not baby food pureed soft. The Negi Toro roll should be described as pureed fish wrapped in rice and seaweed. The Eel roll tasted like oily baked fish. This is our third time dinning here all the dishes are good besides the sushi rolls.

    We were celebrating a birthday and appreciated the hostess making mention of it when we checked in. We were then sat in the outdoor patio which was outstanding. I want to especially recognize V and our waiter, Austin, who were extremely attentive to our needs all night. Thanks for making last night such a wonderful and memorable experience!

    Brought my friends from out of town and we had a great experience! The view and ambiance are top tier. Our server was so helpful in recommendations and new things to try. The duck bai buns were the best thing I’ve ever tasted. The sushi was so fresh and tasteful. Definitely will be returning.

    We hadn’t been to Takato in over a year and decided to go for our anniversary. So glad we did! The service was excellent and we requested and got an ocean view. Everything was perfect and delicious. We’ll return more often!

    Ariel was amazing! Great service, FANTASTIC food, like top 3 restaurants in my life, and they were so sweet to mark a bday celebration with such a fun dessert 😍. For anyone reading this, the Wagyu crispy rice is life changing, we got our first order and had to add another. It was THAT good. I absolutely plan on coming back every time I’m in FLL. Thank you to the Takato team for an amazing, memorable experience!!

    Simply cannot say enough good things about our dinner. Our server Tally was above and beyond wonderful. She put together an absolutely incredible tasting experience, was soo knowledgeable and her service was top notch. Sat at the sushi bar and all of the chefs were so kind and hospitable. Literally cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff, the food, and the entire experience. We live on St Thomas and will absolutely make it a point to fly back just for that meal.

    Service was incredibly slow. Items were forgotten or not communicated they were not coming. Server was overwhelmed with all his tables being sat at once. We heard one excuse after another. Our reservations was at 8:00 and we sat down at 7:45 and we didn’t finish until 10:15-10:30. For a 600.00 bill we were very very underwhelmed with our time at Takato. We will not be visiting this establishment again.

    Liz runs an incredible restaurant with excellent food and upscale ambiance. The entire experience is upgraded by her presence and her knowledge of what menu items will enhance a guest experience. She is so perfect! Every diner is coddled. Every guest is super important to Liz. The food is so good, it’s hard to find fault. I’ve never tasted better.

    We arrived at Takato with high expectations. The ambiance was lovely and high-energy. Our server greeted us warmly and brought our drinks quickly. Unfortunately, the service went downhill from there. Our server came back and asked me to reconfirm certain items we’d ordered, and it was clear she’d mixed half of our order up with another table, so I repeated our order to her. Twice after that a food runner arrived with dishes we hadn’t ordered. Then, when we inquired about a second order of an item we’d placed, our server insisted we’d received it when we hadn’t. The food was good but nothing particularly special, especially considering the >$300 bill for a party of 2 adults and 2 children. The restaurant has a lot of promise and if the quality of service can be improved, the experience will be much more memorable for future guests.
