    A wonderful eatery that is very comfortable, sophisticated and most importantly delicious. Excellent service, beautiful environment and then there is the food. Truly outstanding. It was a pleasure to spend time there. I would highly recommend Takato.

    Unbelievable! Was our first time at Takato, service was incredible and food was even better! Celebrated a birthday and the manager stopped by the table to wish a happy birthday. We will definitely be back. 10/10!

    The food and service were exceptional as usual. This is the first time that we have gone there for lunch and it was just as great as it is for dinner. Linda our server was great. She was there whenever we needed her but was never a pest. The entire team was great.

    We had a 615pm reservation for 4 and showed up at 6pm (15 mins early) to check-in. I should have guessed there would be a problem when the hostess told me she would “text us when our table was ready” (even though we were standing 3 feet away). 30 mins later and after MANY, MANY people (including several tables for 4) were sat ahead of us even though they all arrived after us, we finally were seated. The weird thing was a we were walked to our table, there were several open tables with no one at them include a few for 4. Very weird experience, especially because we were guests of a 3 bedroom suite at the hotel - didn’t feel right!

    Paul the Manager makes dining here an experience , if you want the best sushi in FT Lauderdale no need to look any further, food, and service is excellent. Ask for Kevin our server you won’t be disappointed.

    Wow what a great experience! Celebrated our wedding anniversary and everything we ordered was delicious! Service was great as well! Our server was so kind and surprised us with dessert to top off our lovely evening. Can’t wait to come back and try some other wonderful dishes and sushi!

    Having dined here the previous evening we were looking forward to another lovely evening however our experience was slightly different. We made our reservation late in the day at at 17:07 for 19:45 seating that evening. The weather had been very wet and very windy since lunchtime that day. On arrival we were told that there would be a 20-30 min wait for a table as all the outdoor seating was closed due to the inclement weather which they didn’t know about ?? We were told we could have a drink at the bar whilst we waited however the bar area was full as was the seating area in the foyer so the only option was to stand in the foyer. On speaking with the manager she did arrange complimentary drinks for us whilst we stood. We were then seated within 30 mins and our server Sally was very friendly and provided an excellent service hence we left a 20% gratuity on our bill. However on returning to our hotel room (we were staying at The Conrad) we received a call from a member of staff at Takato asking why we didn’t leave a gratituty for Sally, I informed this person that we had left one however he seemed insistent that we hadn’t, he said he would speak to our server again. He didn’t call back to apologise for his error!!! A different experience to our visit the previous evening. We appreciated that the outdoor area had to be closed but Takato would have known this from lunchtime so don’t continue to accept bookings when you don’t have the space indoors to seat your guests. Also if you make a mistake accusing your guests of not leaving a gratuity when they did, call them back to apologise!!

    Food was exceptional. Everything ordered was beautiful and delicious. Had to wait 15 minutes for a table even with a reservation. Server was pleasant and professional but clearly overwhelmed. It took a long time to get the bill after we finished dessert. Overall a lovely meal.

    Great food! Their kimchi rice is the best we ever tried and the wagyu bulgogi along with the special side sauce is an excellent pairing. The outdoor seating has a beautiful environment overlooking the ocean. Our waiter was great and the music added to an already amazing vibe.

    Went for my birthday lunch with my husband. We have a 1 year old so we could only sneak away for a short time. Service and atmosphere were perfect. And the food is very delicious. Docked 1 star because I think the Korean flavors sometimes overpowered the delicate raw fish. Will come back again to try more of the hot dishes.

    Great food, service and atmosphere. Just wish the music could be a little lower so I don't have to yell at my fellow diners for them to hear me. Also wish some vegetable dishes be put back on the menu.

    It’s been a while since we’ve been to Takato. We were glad to have a birthday to celebrate in our party of four. We were situated on a wonderful outdoor table with a view of the beach and the warmth of twilight. The occasional roar from the engine of an inconsiderate motorcyclist going back and forth on A1A was overlooked; not Takato’s fault. We had excellently crafted drinks, including my non-alcoholic watermelon based “cocktail”. Our meal selections were superb., initiated by the incredible duck buns. My tempura shrimp were juicy inside their lightly, crusted fried shells. Though we wouldn’t have had dessert usually, we had congregated to observe a birthday. We split two of the sweet treats. Husband and I had a molten chocolate cake, submerged in a deep chocolate sauce and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Scrumptious. There are a number of good restaurants in Fort Lauderdale; with attentive service and sensational meal selections, Takato is among the best.

    Everything you eat is AMAZING. I’ve never been to a place where the flavor profile of every dish was exceptional. I was impressed! The pork ribs was my main dish. Sooo good and tender, the beef short ribs appetizer was amazing!! So flavorful. And the kimchi fried rice has so much flavor! They mix it in front of you which I love. Service was impeccable anddd they even brought my friend a birthday sushi roll, which was ice cream wrapped in rice crispies. Omg sooo good and I don’t even like desserts. My new favorite place is Takato!
