   food took a very long time to be served, especially the mains. the staff were nice but looked flustered. food was so-so for its price. lechon brisket was good. they were also unresponsive to messages on instagram

   There’s nothing like Takam in Canberra, so my partner and I decided to travel to Sydney and celebrate our anniversary there. The ambience is calming and intimate. Service is amazing, they really take their time in explaining their dishes, they are also very sweet and attentive when interacting with diners. The food was awesome! Full of creativity and sarap with every bite. Its modern pinoy and yet they never lost touch with the techniques and taste of the original pinoy dishes. I look forward to dining with friends and family next time. Thank you Takam!

   We had a very nice birthday dinner. Food and service was absolutely amazing! King prawn palabok and beef brisket were seriously outstanding! We’ll be back soon.

   Fantastic service, food, and cocktails. Definitely 5 stars. Highly recommend, the service especially was amazing. All the staff are so nice and attentive.

   Amazing new modern take on Filipino food. All the flavours are there but not your traditional plated Filo food. A blend of ingredients incorporating Australian native foods. Wait staff were outstanding, explaining everything on the menu and so, so friendly. Great cocktails with uniquely different ingredients. TAKAM is a great find in Darlinghurst. This place is exceptional. Very popular, a full house on a Wednesday night. Suggest you book a table or you may miss out.

    The food was delicious! Reminiscent of all of my favourite Filipino flavours and dishes made into a modern concept. The service was lovely and they were overall trying to improve the sound experience by turning down the speaker above our table. Downfalls were the ambience and acoustics of the upstairs space. It was loud and uncomfortable as we had to yell at each other to hear each other. There was another group sitting on the same floor and although they weren’t “loud” it was uncomfortable and chose to leave before dessert. Recommend asking for a downstairs table if booking a group. Recommendations: Put up some artwork with some sound absorbent materials like wood for example. Any form of sound absorption would improve that upstairs space. Salamat po!
