Takahachi is a Japanese cuisine and sushi restaurant located in New York City. It has something for everyone and is an ideal place to bring the sushi novice, as well as diners who are looking for something a little different. On the inside, the bright white walls are a stark contrast to the dark ebony tables, giving Takahachi a sleek, modern look.
On the entre side of the menu, the most popular items are the sake tuyayaki, a grilled salmon with green tea salt and the beef steak with avocado and wasabi sauce. On the sushi side, Takahachi has rolls that are as colorfully named as they are plated. Great examples are the taxi driver, which is a roll of tuna, salmon, yellowtail, cucumber and avocado, as well as the little Buddha, which features lotus roots tempura, cucumber, avocado, gobo and arugula.
I usually do carry out. Their food is delicious and well priced (by Tribeca standards) and front services are good. Only ate at the restaurant once. The service was OK - I was expecting a more attentive services, considering that they were not busy
