We offer the best sushi you will find in Steamboat and beyond. We offer regular tables, high-tops, sushi bar seats, and "counter", our community bar. The Omakase Experience is a 12-course meal with our Chef 'Tahk' serving a set tasting menu, mostly nigiri, at our upstairs sushi bar and is $120 per person. Each Omakase seating is limited to 10 people. This can be booked for a 5pm or 7:30 seating found under "Experience" in OpenTable, please be prompt for Omakase as other guests will be waiting. When you reserve a table via OpenTable, you will confirm with a secure credit card link. We will not be answering the phone during our busy dinner service, we will check the next business day and we will check OpenTable DM. Take-out will be limited depending on the capacity of our restaurant and online. In the case you don't cancel any reservation within 24 hours, your card will be charged $50pp for regular reservation and $120pp for Omakase. If your party is 9 or more, please call to reserve.

Omakase Tasting is offered for a 5pm and 7:30 prompt seating times, nightly. This is a true one-of-a-kind dining experience without booking a ticket to Japan, you'll be paired with a talented Sushi Chef at the Omakase Bar where you will be served each of the 12- chef's choice courses. During this 2 hour dinner you will learn about the intricacies of fresh fish and seafood from around the world. This is offered nightly. The sushi bar is limited to 10 seats and this is at the upstairs sushi bar. If your Omakase party is over 6 people, please call to reserve. To reserve go to "Experience" in Open Table or reserve through the 5 pm or 7:30 timeslot and choose "Omakase" or call 970-439-0444.

This was really a wonderful experience. Chef Tahk was fantastic. The sushi was really tremendous. Every bite was truly delicious. I am so glad that we have an outstanding sushi restaurant in Steamboat. We will be back over and over.

Menu is pretty limited. What we got was good but didn’t blow us away, especially for the price. Non-alcoholic drink selections were very limited. No kids menu. No hurry to go back.

We did the Omakase chefs experience and the sushi and sake was very good - but I had done the experience previously with a different chef and the level of interactment, engagement, and overall welcomeness of that chef (summer 2021) was significantly better, and honestly a large part of doing the Omakase again. After last night’s experience, we were later told the chef that night was the restaurant owner, would make me question if I would come back (and pay for) that experience again. The chef had minimal explanation of sushi pieces, was short when asked further, and even seemed to ignored a couple questions from us. And it definitely took away from our experience.

Incredible food, stellar service. We ate a delicious dinner over the course of two hours, our wonderful server let us just chill, eat slow, drink, and relax. Fantastic historic building, great music, etc.

Chef John Tahk and his outstanding staff always provided us with a night to remember. It is an honor to sit at the Omakase bar and dine on his selections of some of the best sushi you will find in CO. We enjoy meeting and conversing with the other patrons who share in our passion for this cuisine. Who knows, you might even meet a celebrity while you are there.....we did!

Food quality is next level! Service is spot on! Chef is like Jiro Ono- serious, bald… and intense to the tradecraft. My only concern was providing Chef with a glass of good sake and then he thanked his “locals”. Overall- I highly recommend the Omakase experience.

The Chef was quite rude. Our party didn’t enjoy being treated poorly by him, especially when you are paying so much for the “sushi experience”. Sushi = Good, Chef’s professionalism and attitude = poor.

This was my first time here. I love sushi and eat it frequently. I ordered my usual items and the hamachi sashimi was awful. I ordered the belly or “ toro” and it is supposed to have the texture of butter. I had to actually spit out grizzle and cartilage, something I have never had to do that in 40 years of eating sushi. The server was prompt at giving me another serving which was better but nothing to brag about. They don’t have vegetable tempura or wasabi. I asked for fresh wasabi and it was poor. Service was good, food ok. I wanted a glass of wine and the only choice for a glass of Chardonnay was $18. No other choice. The whole outing was way too expensive for the quality.

Very fresh, very original, and very delicious. The dinning room downstairs is really cool (although it can be a tad uncomfortable if you end up seating against the boulders wall). Upstairs they have a bar with a prepaid 10 course meal.

We’ve eaten here several times over the last year and thought the sushi was decent. Not so this last time. The fish doesn’t seem that fresh and quite honestly we didn’t want to eat it. Also the hostess was very annoyed with us because I forgot to reduce the reservation from 4 to 2 when our friends couldn’t join us, even though there were lots of open tables and I literally didn’t see anyone else seated after we were. One last minor comment is that it was my birthday, the server knew this because our friends called ahead to buy some sake. I don’t know of any other restaurant that doesn’t provide a small treat or something for a celebration. I usually don’t even want it but it’s nice to have acknowledgment that you are choosing to celebrate in their establishment. I love to support the local restaurants in Steamboat but I don’t think we’ll be coming back to this one, sadly.
