We had a terrible experience and quite frankly our worst experience dining at any one of the Atlas group restaurants. I will never go back. We made reservations at 945pm but arrived at 938pm and one of my guests checked in. At 9:55pm we were still waiting, 6 of us standing in the hallway while multiple people passed by and were seated after coming in later. I get it, sometimes we may have to wait on a table to be ready. Absolutely, no issue. So after waiting without an update I proceeded to ask the server if we would be seated soon. She was extremely rude and responded to me bu telling me “if someone is still eating at your table, what do you want me to do?”. She then said “each table has 3 hours for their meal, so I guess you just have to wait”. I informed her that our reservation was made a week ago and her response to us was not acceptable. Never once did she apologize or express any regret to the fact that we were just waiting. After realizing that she clearly had an attitude problem, I asked her name and she refused to let me know. After repeatedly asking she said “Lillian”. I asked her to speak with her manager. The manager came by and apologized profusely. I told her that it was our first time trying Tagliata but we are huge fans of the Atlas group and this was not acceptable. I told her how rude “Lillian” was and despite fine dining her treatment toward us was not at the level of a fine dining institution and more like a fast food chain. I compared the service to Chik Fil A but my guests corrected me that service at Chik Fil A is amazing and beyond what we experienced. I repeat: on a night when 3 men decided to surprise their ladies with a Cirque Du Soleil show followed by dinner, I was disappointed. I will never return.

Excellent place. For the number of diners, when we were present after 10, the noise level was fairly low. The food was outstanding and creative. The pacing of the best service felt s little rushed. My delicious house cocktail arrived with my appetizer.

We had a wonderful date night. Hubby ordered the pork chops and LOVED it and I ordered the scallops. I wasn’t that impressed with the scallops and nor was I a fan of the pancetta. My meal came with a sweet potato and I definitely was not expecting a purée of the sweet potato. Thought it would be a whole sweet potato but it was still very good. But what I really liked were the meatballs we had as an appetizer. Those were delicious!! I will definitely come back and pick another entree because the service, ambiance, staff, drinks and desserts made up the difference.

I pride myself on making excellent risotto and it’s rare for me to say I’ve been upstaged. The wild mushroom pecorino risotto at Tagliata blew mine out of contention. I’d travel across the country just to have this again!

We had a business dinner here and the food was so refreshing. I wish I could have eaten more but didn't want to feel miserable. The ambiance was so lovely. The waitress was AMAZING!

Overall the restaurant is very nice, but our experience seemed very rushed and I was not pleased with how many times the manager paced back and forth by our table considering how small the space is. I was very excited to try it out, but would not return as I did not feel welcomed.

My partner and I decided to go to Tagliata for a date night last Friday and it was certainly not the experience we expected out of a place like this. We showed up a couple minutes early for our 6:30 PM reservation and were told it would be a few minutes before we would be sat. 20 minutes later we were escorted to our table with zero acknowledgment of the tardiness. It was very clear from the moment we had arrived that Tagliata had overbooked themselves and were trying to make up for it, not by providing good service to their customers, but rather by rushing them out the door from the moment they take their seat. After being sat late with no apology or recognition, we then felt as though we were on a time crunch for the entirety of our meal. It was evident that they needed to churn and burn this evening in order to keep pace with their high demand. I don't think we got through 3 minutes of any conversation without being asked if we were ready to order something, needed anything, etc. And not in a hospitable way, but very much in a 'can you hurry up and order?' kind of way. Normally I don't write reviews and make a big fuss over situations like this, but when you've had a long work week and you're looking forward to a reservation you made two weeks in advance and you get there and the ambiance is absolutely tarnished by the staff and the way the restaurant operated in a state of sheer panic and quite frankly being overbooked, it really puts a damper on your evening - especially when you're then hit with the $300 tab. At the end of the day, this restaurant just misses the mark. Their aesthetic is targeting elegant, chic and upscale - and the only thing that reflects this is their pricing. If you're trying to have a fancy date night out and you're willing to spend some coin, I don't recommend this to be your spot.

1st time to Tagliata Restaurant and it was perfect! The waitress, service, food was excellent. The piano was the topper of the evening. We were celebrating our 30th Anniversary and the complimentary champagne was a nice touch. The only negative was the hostess who was not very personable or friendly.

Our waitress was very attentive, without being intrusive. We were celebrating my husband's birthday but after finishing off the Duck main dish after a few appetizer, he could not eat his birthday dessert. The waitress was so sweet to bring the candle on a plate and a tiramisu "to go" in a box, and on the house! That is such a classy thing the restaurant and waitress did for us. Thank you!

Everything we experienced was above all expectations. Our server was so nice and helpful, the food was so good there are no words to describe it. And we were treated to some lemonchello as a celebration of our anniversary!! We definitely are already planning on returning.

The New York Steak we were served was dry and tasteless. We ordered "medium" -- it was definitely overcooked, but next time we would order rare. But the meat itself wasn't great. This is in contrast with the wonderful meal we had there in August.

The ambience and wine really make up this restaurant…the food and service not so much. When we arrived for our reservation at 9, they claimed they had 2 groups before us which I don’t understand bc we had a reservation. What’s the point of a reservation if my table isn’t ready or at least almost ready when I get there?? Then the food we received, 1) took forever to come out and 2) when it came out everything was cold(except for the Brussels sprouts we got) and the pasta was very chewy. If I come back I wouldn’t get any pasta, I’d be fine with just getting wine and the delicious Brussels sprouts.

Despite the meal being excellent, we waited over 45 minutes for our table when we had a reservation. Management did nothing to improve the customer service provided other than to stick us in a private dining room or outside. No offer to cover a round of drinks, etc. Once a table did become available, we were on top of fellow diners and our waitress kept having to have us the customers pass her dishes to clear, etc. For the price we paid for the meal, we should not be bussing our own table. There’s no need to pack a room full of people in a place that should provide a much different experience. We had come to celebrate an engagement thinking that it would be a much different atmosphere. We will not be returning with a group for a celebration anymore. I would recommend the restaurant solely for the food though.

The food and service were both great, but it wasn’t anything you couldn’t find at 50 other places nearby. As someone that travels often, and spares no expense for food, it’s rare that a restaurant has the opportunity to delight it’s guests. The (paper) menues at Tagliata were beautiful. I asked my server if I could take one home (I collect menues from all over the world and frame the ones that are particularly stunning). She said of course, just ask the host. So I did. She wasn’t sure so she asked the manager, who simply said no. They don’t give menues to go and I could view online. When I told her the server said I could and I wanted to frame it, the answer was still…no. I politely smiled and said thanks anyway (it’s a menu, not worth making a scene). But I did leave disappointed. The ability to stand out as an eating establishment is difficult. The opportunity to delight doesn’t present it’s self often. While the food was fine, the overall experience was unremarkable. As someone who returns to Baltimore a few times a month, I won’t be dining here. There are too many other places to explore, and I look forward to finding the ones that understand it’s the small things that create raving, loyal fans.
