Tagine Beverly Hills
The food and ambiance at Tagine offer a magnificent experience you will never forget! Chef Ben is a genius!
Not a sit on the floor and eat with your hands Moroccan restaurant. Also is very modern version of Morrocan and very well done.
The food was amazing. The ambience. I felt like I was in a private home right in Beverly Hills. Moroccan mint tea was my favorite thing since I’ve never had it before. The service was wonderful and all of the food was amazing.not to be missed. My friend did not think he liked vegetables until he ate at Tagine!
Great meat! Great vegetables!
The food and the service was the best ... however the restaurant's interior was ill-lite and hard to read the menu.
Very gracious service and delicious food. Moroccan cuisine is under appreciated.
One of the best restaurants in Los Angeles, period. The manager Mia is a delight and will treat you like a guest in her home, not a customer.
The ambiance was nice. The food did not tase like an authentic Moroccan. The portions were small. The service was Ok.
quiet night, pleasant atmosphere, but too dark. spicing of food was excellent.
I have been a fan of Moroccan food, especially at the Merekesh in Studio City, but sadly they closed. I heard good things about Tagine, so brought my two International students to sample this kind of cuisine. We found the food and presentation to be excellent until one of my students spit out a piece of a metal thread from her food. We were all alarmed and summoned the server/chef. He took the metal back to the kitchen and returned some moments later explaining that it was a piece of tin foil that had gotten into the food. He was apologetic. The restaurant was completely filled with diners. The female server came back to offer her apologies and to ask how they could make the experience better. I suggested a refund of some kind was in order. The total bill for the three of us was about $300. They reduced it by $75. I think they could have done better, but given the fact that the remaining dishes (tasting menu) were excellent, I accepted this offer. Will we return? Not sure.
It is a very nice little place, we really enjoyed the food. Will definitely be back ..
The RomanceOlogist(R) chose Tagine Restauraunt to spend our Valentine's evening. The food was amazingly prepared by chef Ben with extreme love and artistry.
The only thing I would recommend is that the small space be decorated as romantic and beautiful as the food! Just a few touches of adding color to the walls, bright colored pillows, a crystal chandelier, hanging plants, candles and flowers on the tables, brightly colored Moroccan hanging lamps...
This could create a full 5 star romantic experience!!
Very good Valentine’s menu. Great flavors, fresh ingredients, wonderful proteins.
Tagine, is indeed a "little hidden gem". The ambiance was quaint, warm and romantic. I took my Fiance there for Valentine's Day 2019. He said "Babe, you will plan our Valentine's Day dinners from now on. This is hands down the best dinner I've ever had". That's saying a lot! He himself has been a restauranteur for more than 32 years. We have shred our images and our experience on our friend Food-E app, and can't wait to come back. PS. The chef was charming! I personally loved that fact that he served us himself and explained in details each dish. Absolutely Superb!
Tagine Chicken was great
The food at Tagine is excellent. It is a very small restaurant and the tables are tight but it's cozy and candlelit. The service is wonderful. The food tastes deliciously homemade and healthy. My husband and I both love the experience. Unlike any other LA restaurant. Feels as if you've been transported to a far away, exotic land if only for a few hours.
Excellent Moroccan food. Friendly service vice. Very dark room
Very serine, low sexy lighting, amazing jazz moody sexy music easy to talk over. Excellent service. Most of all delicious authentic Moraccan menu. Food is so delicious. Reminded us of our romantic recent 3 weeks traveling throughout Morocco.
I love the food here and the service was excellent!
Amazing food, very friendly staff, the chef was sweet and caring, and the setting was intimate
Hostess ordered desserts we did not want on her own she charged us for. The service was so slow we could not get a drink for the first 30 minutes and food for first 45. The appetizers were very average. The sangria was pretty much fruit juice. The tagine was good but the restaurant name is tagine there should be at least 2 kinds of tagine to order. The chocolate soup dessert was a joke, could barely taste the chocolate and on top of banana ice cream. very dull.
Love this restaurant. The service is fantastic, the food is delicious, the ambiance is romantic. Great place
Tagine is a gem. I wish I could clone it, that's how much I enjoy it.
The food is very tasty. The service is amongst the very best we have ever had. Also was pleasantly surprised by a few extra tastes. Final surprise was how good the chocolate soup dessert was.
The food was marvelous. We began with appetizer bastillas. Both the lamb and chicken filled ones were excellent. We then proceeded to the Couscous Royale and Seafood Couscous which we’re both extraordinary. The food was well prepared, delicious and non greasy
The restaurant lacks adequate lighting—too dark.
I would guess that the noise level would be normal but on the particular evening we dined there was a large table of very loud guests whose screaming voices were very disturbing.
Loved the location and quaintness of the restaurant. Would have been helpful if the waiter had spent time reviewing the menu since it was our first one there. Food was delicious but portions were very small for the cost. Need some assistance with what to order. Staff was very slow to offer drinks, menus and dessert.
Was really upset with waiter who tool long for simple beverage request and still gave my lots of ice when I said little. And a rookie waiter/busboy who ignore my other request for a straw. They simple didn't care consistently.
I one went there and the co-owner ( I think) was supper nice. But I should've gotten the name of the waiter who worked the night shift on 1/5/19
Our final restaurant meal of 2018 was at Tagine, and it was one of our best meals of the entire year.
When I booked the restaurant I was not aware that they had a New Years Eve menu (but we were not disappointed). The dinner, more aptly described as a feast, consisted of six (6) courses on the printed menu. However, there was one starter before the courses started, and every thing was delicious.
The staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. We are somewhat picky and they readily substituted, modified, or replaced as necessary. They even comped an extra glass of wine.
The cost for our feast was $85 per person, which in my book is an incredible value.
This was our first time at Tagine and we cannot wait to go back.
Run don't walk.....
Tagine is a lovely restaurant, the food was great!
It was a perfectly prepared and served dining experience!
Service was just a tad slow in beginning but otherwise great recommendations from server and food was ALL yummy. Definitely get the mezze starter and grilled lamb chops!
Yes, I Love it! That was Not the last Time for me there
Great service , quiet and intimate dining experience
We have dined at this restaurant at least twice a year over the past five years, and always depart feeling like we've had a unique experience even though we've always ordered the Tasting menus versus a la carte. The service is personal, and the restaurant is quaint with only about 10 tables, so a reservation is suggested to assure a specific dining time. Our experience this time was a mix of the group enjoying the Chef's and the Pescatarian Tasting offerings. There were no disappointments in that the servings included lamb and seafood (tuna, lobster and sea bass) all of which were accompanied by a variety of vegetables prepared and presented in creative and tasteful ways. Each of the tasting menus included a well balanced lobster lasagna that was prepared in the serving dish and perhaps was the overall favorite of the entire group. The restaurant was active during the Monday evening we visited, and the one primary waiter was skilled at working through the various tables drawing upon some assistance from the kitchen at various times.
Terrific personable service. Excellent food. They went above and beyond.
Family get- together - Food was delicious! Great atmosphere and beautiful decor.
The Honey lamb couscous platter was Devine!!! One of the best lamb dishes I’ve ever had!
The deserts were delicious and the hot honey mint tea made it all better. Highly recommend this place.
Consistently superb. A hidden gem. Great for special occasions and a welcome respite from busy city life ‘
The food was solid but uninspired. With few exceptions, I thought the dishes I could have easily made for myself (and made better). The lamb bestilla in particular was a disappointment. A circle of phyllo with powdered sugar does not transform something into a bestilla. The lamb chops were done to perfection, but I didn’t get even a little whiff of anything Mediterranean about those chops. My son enjoyed his dinner, but he likes anything salty.
We were transported by the food and the surroundings to an exotic experience. The diversity of complementary and contrasting flavors delighted my senses. Our server and the manager treated us with great kindness and respect. This is a great place to go for a romantic special evening out.
Got to meet and shake hands with the wonderful chef this evening! Then he created some masterpieces for us to taste. We were also lucky to get to drink this amazing bottle of Champagne in the picture below! I had the Chef's tasting menu and my friend had the Pescetarian tasting menu and it was a lot of food! I'll be back as usual :)
