Had pretty high expectations for this place as I’ve watched ever episode of Bar Rescue. The service was great, our waitress was tentative and very nice! The ambiance was also welcoming. The food and drinks however were mediocre. My friend and I both got a burger and they weren’t flavorful and really dry. The pretzel appetizer had way to much salt, you had to scrape it off to make it edible. The cocktail flight was disappointing, only 2 drinks were good. The blue vodka drink was pretty but smelled like ocean water. Will not return.

The host never communicated the birthday open table notes that I left. The food portions were very small for the price. We both ordered steak and both came way overcooked and flavorless. Definitely wish I took my husband to another place for his bday dinner. The only good experience we had was our server, she was great. Seems like Mr. Taffer needs to work on doing a kitchen rescue to his own establishment. Very disappointing experience.

This was my first time but I was pleased with the ambiance and the drinks selection. The appetizers were plentiful and the entrees were good. One recommendation add a few more entree items another chicken dinner, a beef brisket entree and better selection of vegetables. Also add loaded baked potatoes.

I've always had great service here, even super busy before an event at the arena. A little concerned no one behind the bar new what a dark beer was. I asked if they had any brown ale's or darker beers, they all asked each other and came back with Yuengling as my option -they actually have a Porter on tap and Guinness. Wow! Food was good, our server was great.

The food good and fir the money worth it. I did however ask for a birthday celebration in open table reservation and that did not occur. They had to adjust the bill as they didn’t give us happy hour half price for a bottle of wine. Servers were attentive.

Food was amazing. Brussel sprouts were the best I have ever had and the cocktail flight was out of this world. Will definitely be coming back.

Big fans of the show so when we saw there was a Taffer’s Tavern during a recent trip to DC, we knew we had to try it. Went for brunch (their first day serving a brunch menu) and it was delicious. Prices were really good, service was fantastic. Super attentive. Husband remarked that the Guinness was a bit too cold, but the coffee was good and served au lait, which was unexpected. Decor was nice, the video screens were showing weird videos, and the bathroom was clean. Wish the merch were a bit better or we would have bought a shirt. Overall, highly recommend.

Crowded when we arrived and seated on time. While it was busy we couldn’t get 1 glass of wine brought to our table for 45 minutes. One salad came out and the rest of us waited and waited for our food, even after several reminders that we still needed our entrees. After a long wait, the waiter asked us what we ordered -again. Then finally when our food came out they also brought out another Caesar salad with it. All the food was good. Liked the salmon, the chicken avocado club, and the Caesar salad. Liked the inside, decor and atmosphere. They knocked off several items from our bill because of the mess up with our order and drinks. Hopefully the poor service was a fluke, but even so, it was such a long wait and no real apologies, and a lot of other places to eat in the area, we probably won’t come here again.

The experience the staff at Taffer's Tavern gave us was absolutely phenomenal. I have not been to such a quality restaurant in a while and we were very excited to try Taffer's restaurant since we enjoy his show. Off the bat, the service was amazing. Our compliments to Marcus, our server, who was fantastic and accommodating throughout the night. The ambiance, music, spacing, and venue were all gorgeous and spot on. I cannot wait to come back!

Everybody was working so hard at this busy place and all were so very friendly and attentive. Larry was our server and he never stopped smiling. He was really sweet and took amazing care of us. We will definitely go back because the food was great and we had a really fun time.

Our server was great and food and drinks arrived fast. One complaint I only had was my chicken was cold. It was loud but knew it would be with a Capitals game that night which is the reason we were in town.

My wife and I went to a Flyers/Caps hockey game. We had reservations at 4:45 pm. It worked out very well. Food was excellent, service was top notch and it was very easy getting to the game from the restaurant. Marcus was a phenomenal waiter/server always checking back with the table. WELL DONE!,
