Great time, experience, service. The food and drinks were great
They were out of guacamole.
After we were sat, no one waited on us. We had to flag someone down. After that service was really good, but we were disappointed with the lack of initial contact. Also we ordered a second drink and the waitress brought out the wrong drink. We ordered another round of Margaritas, but she brought a Sangria. They looked the same, but something was off and we weren’t quite sure what. We realized it when the bill came and it said Sangria. Yes, there was an initial problem with service and a drink mix up, but the food was excellent.
Lovely dishes/ great service
Our first experience in the “pods” a little weird hence the 4 stars for ambiance and service. Plus it was raining. Nothing to do with Tacuba though, the food and beverage were amazing as usual. We will definitely be back!
Nice outdoor space, decent Mexican food - service was a bit slow but that’s the norm these days. Chips, dips, queso and guacamole were all tasty
Cena en familia
this is my home away from home, love this place !
I hadn't been here in a while, but I am so glad I came back. The food is outstanding. The flavors are so great. And the staff are wonderful. Plus, the pours are generous and the cocktails good. Will definitely make this a regular spot again.
We hosted 4 young people at a large table near the opening as we requested.
The service was friendly and attentive.
My new favorite bartender was especially accommodating, and shared his knowledge of desirable but little known reposado tequilas.
The carnitas plate was generous and excellent; a true measuring stick for Mexican food restaurants to me.
Enjoyed by all.
Altogether, a highlight of our visit to NYC.
A great place for brunch, indoors or outdoors, great food, great staff, great fun!
I've been going to Tacuba, since it first opened. I had stopped going pre-pandemic, since I thought the food and cocktails were going downhill. I am so happy that I went this past weekend and the new food and cocktail menu is fantastic! If you haven't been back to Tacuba since pre-pandemic times, I highly recommend going and if you have never gone, definitely go!
Get the Queso Fundido and the Mango frozen margaritas to start, since they are using Hornitos.
Great atmosphere, imaginative food selections, attentive service, but very noisy, hard to hear your conversation.
Fun vibes. Good drinks. Great staff!
For a lively experience. Not for conversation. Good service.
They seemed to have no idea that I had made a reservation.
My favorite Mexican restaurant in NY. Great food and always warm and welcoming service. It’s a pleasure to be back after so long away
While the guacamole and salsa were excellent, the carne asada tacos contained tough meat. Our server was rarely seen and never bothered to check with us on the food, which someone else brought out.
Good food and drinks and great service
We had guacamole and chips, a unique salsa experience, a chicken burrito that’s just the right portion, The shrimp tacos were flavorful and light on the stomach, The steak was beautiful and tender, The tres leches cake was positively sinful. The Britney Spears music was nostalgic.
The food was greasy and they brought us an extra plate of tacos that we ended up being charged for.
Good and drinks were good. Bathroom was disgusting. Needs to be cleaned and restocked. No soap. No toilet paper.
My first time back at a restaurant in over a year and it was perfect. Warm welcoming service and some of the beat Mexican food ever. Sat in an outdoor cabana, felt completely safe. Service mad you feel like family.
Amazing time and fun environment. Food is delicious and service is great
Tacuba is a lovely restaurant with the ambiance and wonderful service you could ask for! The margs are delicious and the food is mouth watering and special- not your traditional chipotle type! I now get cravings for this places food!
Always great. A neighborhood fave.
This is by far my favorite 9th ave dining spot. Not only is the food exceptional - great flavors and portions, but the service here is always above and beyond and makes me feel like I’m dining with family. I can recommend anything off the menu and you won’t be disappointed (and I’ve tried most everything) but don’t miss the spicy margarita!
They've managed to make their post Covid19 vibe very welcoming and festive. It's a great place to go to forget your troubles for a while. Tamarind margaritas are superb and the relaxed but attentive service is some of the best in the city.
Love this place ! W try to bring different people with us every time we go... and that if often! Oh and yes, a shout out to Wonder Woman! YAY !!!!
We were celebrating getting Covid-19 vaccinations! And this was the first time getting back to NYC after 13 months. Love Tacuba and Toloache. Food is not like typical Mexican restaurant food.
The guacamole and margaritas are really good as are the fish tacos!
Really great food and service. Thank you guys and can’t wait to come back!
Drinks are delicious and the food has always been amazing!
Food was under spiced. Otherwise good experience.
Food was great, everything came out quickly. The staff was very friendly and attentive, we had a great time.
Great food! We had the tacos, quezon fundido with chorizo and avocado fries. Delicious food and great service. Drinks are amazing too!
Stunning Mexican fare up-done! Phenomenal, mouthwatering options. Great service :)
yum yum yum yum yum yum yum yum yum yum yum yum yum yum yum yum
Service was very slow...we had to flag down the waitress to remind her after 15 mins we were still waiting to order our drinks and to bring us water. Food was just ok. Their side of street corn was not great...Tacuba in Astoria is definitely better. Don’t think we’ll be dining here again.
What a fun brunch! Very tasty food. Big, warm dining room. Distance between dining parties.
