Tacuba Hell's Kitchen
Restaurants include: Toloache 50, Toloache 82, Toloache Thompson, Yerba Buena Perry, Yerba Buena LES, Coppelia & Tacuba.
The cuisine ranges from Mexican and Cuban to diverse
Pan-Latin, with menus offering innovative flavor pairings, staple traditional dishes and fresh ingredient cocktails. Fresh is definitely the key word with all Chef Julian creations.
Good service, cute ambience and pretty good prices for food! Great sangria!
I booked through open table which had a space for special requests. I mentioned it was my daughters 18th birthday and could they order a chocolate dessert with a candle in. It was Completely ignored.
Delicious Mexican food at a reasonable price. I loved the tacos and avocado fries. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.
The food is phenomenal but the noise is off the charts
Service was horrible.
They took forever to bring the food. The portion was way too small but the waitress never mentioned about that. We had to order more food again. That never came and waitress came to ask for the check. We asked for the food, she again took a very long time to bring the food. We asked for the spicy sauce twice, it never came.
I don’t know why did I pay the tip but definitely the service was not good enough even for a single $ tip.
Wonderful place with great food. A little shocked when the bill came and they charge $14 for guacamole. Other than that, nice people.
Die Geräuschkulisse im Restaurant war eindeutig zu laut. Essen war hervorragend.
small entree portions? otherwise no real complaints. cool decor. good friendly service.
Outstanding service. Came for brunch with our baby and server was accommodating and friendly. Actually, all staff members were amazing! Highly recommend the burger! Delish!
Air conditioning was not on / not working in the middle of the summer - food was good but very unpleasant experience sweating constantly throughout the meal
I loved my time at Tacuba, so much that I want to work there. Our server, wish I had her name, was hospitable and sure helped us believe we could finish a pitcher for two people. We did! And the food? amazing, can't wait to go back.
Great food, ambiance and service!
Excellent restaurant with superb service. Came highly recommended by a colleague and it did not disappoint. Food was so tasty, ambiance was nice. Will definitely be returning.
So good we returned two nights later! I LOVE their red wine Sangria. Food was excellent. Rebecca comped us another glass of Sangria and we were thrilled to accept! We'll be back for sure!
Our first experience at Tacuba Hell’s Kitchen was unfortunately a disappointment. I had the $15 steak tacos x3 and the portion was so small and not really any flavor. My husband had the strip steak and rice for $29, he really enjoyed the steak but the rice had an unusual flavor to it which we both didn’t like. Our friend had $23 vegetarian meal and it was one half of a very small green capsicum stuffed. Overall service was pretty good but overpriced in comparison to portions or flavor. Unfortunately we will probably not try again as there are a lot of other great Mexican restaurants.
Always great food and quick service. The shrimp with creamy cheese rice is the best thing on their menu. The steak tacos were excellent as well. Very loud in the restaurant but still enjoyable.
I appreciate that Tacuba is a place where you can get upscale Mexican fare, like a flight of tequila and guacamole tastings, as well as the usual margarita, chips and salsa, and fajitas--all done quite well.
Wonderfully tasty food, delicious drinks and super speedy service.
We shared the tacos. They are very nice. The people talk very loud but that's part of the experience, i think. It was a good evening.
Amazing food, amazing service, highly recommended. Somewhat too loud for my taste but willing to weather it considering the considerable rewards of great food and attentive service.
Yum. Seriously awesome staff and bartenders. Make sure you try their salsa - super great! We had skirt steak and drinks. Everything was yummy. Will come back.
Vibrant restaurant. Good service. The tacos were small. Get two orders.
Food taste need to be improved. Went to this restaurant first time with our team (13 members) and most of them didn't like the food or found it average.
Have been here several times and it's always very good, especially for a group. This time, I did find the host and hostesses rather glum (what does it take to smile?) and the music uncomfortably and unnecessarily LOUD & PROPULSIVE, which it has not been previously. Other than that, the food was uniformly great, the waitstaff pleasant and unobtrusive.
Really good food in a fun atmosphere. A little on the noisy side though.
Service was good, it was just really slow between courses and to get check. There was a large party there, so that may be why. Despite slow service from our official server, the bussing staff was on it! Water refills galore and very attentive to clearing our plates. The food and ambiance were amazing! Delicious authentic food and tasty cocktails. Dessert was yummy too. Would definitely go back.
What an incredible surprise! Great food and service. I highly recommend Tacuba if you are looking for delicious, authentic Mexican food.
Food was excellent! Felt a little rushed but service was otherwise great and we were in and out for Saturday night dinner in less than an hour! Would eat here again
Food was good. Taco portions were very small. Noise level was extreme. My 18-year old daughter was covering her ears and conversation was not possible.
Great food! Too loud and service wasn’t the best.
Had great reviews so we were excited. Restaurant was very busy. Our table was not ready on time - we waited about 10 minutes. The restaurant was super loud. We were sat downstairs and there was an unpleasant smell from the bathrooms. Juan was a great server, and our cocktails and guac to start were good. I was super intrigued about the grasshopper tacos so we ordered them as an app. I read reviews that they were “delicious” and even the ladies at our hotel said how they loved grasshoppers. These were, for lack of a better word, disgusting. I really wasn’t expecting them to actually just be a mound of grasshoppers, legs and all, on a tortilla. They didn’t even taste good - no seasoning - tasted how I’d expect an insect to taste if I just caught one and ate it. It really unfortunately ruined everything. Our server did not charge us for them which was very nice. My Carnitas was good, but the grasshoppers just overshadowed everything. But really nothing was good enough for me to recommend it or go there again.
Love this place music was extremely loud.
This cool little restaurant really went beyond my expectations.
From the fabulous white sangria to the (spicy) guacamole to their take on salsa and chips we were happy from the start. Our waiter was very helpful in helping us make our choices, being very honest about what he did and did not think was the best the restaurant had to offer. We had the Arroz con Camarones (shrimp and rice) and it was unbelievable. I was so full, yet couldn't stop eating it. Also, one friend had the skirt steak salad and it was also phenomenal, perfectly cooked steak and perfectly dressed salad. The churros with the caramel and chocolate sauce just topped off the perfect meal. By the time we left the restaurant, it was packed, but the noise level wasn't bad. Great bar with extensive tequila selection.
We sat at the bar + the bartender was a super-friendly + attentive server.
First time there and highly recommended. Service was exceptional and food was great too.
This was the best meal I’ve had maybe all year. The food was absolutely incredible. They have a whole bunch of delicious sounding tacos, and each order comes with three tacos. I asked my server if I could mix and match tacos, and he patiently explained to me why that wasn’t an option (it was a busy Saturday night, and that would be such a headache for the kitchen staff), which I greatly appreciated.
We ended up getting a shrimp dish and a chicken dish which were both out of this world. The drinks were also phenomenal. The space itself is really gorgeous as well. But I think the wait staff were the best part. Attentive, positive, and patient when I was clueless. Will definitely be making this a regular spot of mine.
Food was okay. Too spicy and not wSrned by the waiter
Excellent service. Good food. Great margaritas
Food was very good. Sangria was very, very good. I had the carne asada and the spicy guac; both were excellent. Liked the location and prices were typical Manhattan prices -- too much for what it was, but not surprising.
This place is great! The service we had was awesome. Loved the salsa. The aguachile was really good. My chicken was dry, but the steak was really good.
