Tacos, Tortas & Tequila
Nicely decorated, delicious food. Would go back!
We had a delightful dinner at Buena Vida. The food and drinks were excellent and the ambiance was delightful. I’d go back!
Place was great. It was our first time at the place. The lady that helped us first was awesome at explaining the menu. She said she was helping us because the server was very busty. Eventually the server came to our table (30 minutes latter) but did not introduce him self and was not as friendly as the other lady. Not sure if it was because he thought we didn't speak English. everyone who had helped us had spoken to us in Spanish but we are a bilingual group. After that the lady who was picking up the dishes was somewhat rude. I know they were closing soon but we were never notify of that. She tried to make things better but instead it was worst. She was speaking in Spanish but we felt rudeness with us.
Loved it!! Fantastic food. My new favorite restaurant.
Lots of fun, the BV experience is the way to go.
We had a great time at this restaurant. Great ambience!
Food, ambiance and service were exceptional! My first visit and I will definitely be visiting again!!
A fabulous meal with great margaritas and mimosas. The sliders and abondigas are excellent.
Great for brunch or a spontaneous evening. Terrific tapas and good cocktails!
The Colorado lamb is to die for!! Just 1-2 small plates a person will be enough!
Service was very spotty ~ either overly attentive or forgotten. Took over 10 minutes to get our drinks. Not as good of an experience as my previous 2 visits.
Great food and old fashioned drink was delicious! Service a bit slow. The lighting is very dim - I had a hard time seeing the menu.
Food was amazing but our server was a bit off.
We went for VAlentine's Day. They had a pri fixe menu available that included unlimited cocktails and food, and one dessert. The food was AMAZING and we left there so full that we were sick. :) The dessert was just ok, but I don't think anyone goes to Buena Vida for the desserts! Highly recommend.
The food was great but doing the $35 brunch was not worth the money considering the small portions which we were fine with. But then the extra slow service made it even worse. They missed many of our orders. We understood because it was a Sunday for brunch but we were there for over 2 hours. Along with the slow service they missed several of our orders. Overall the service could have better
Did the unlimited brunch for just food, no drinks. Tried very many small plates options and liked a few, but nothing was amazing. Lots of poached eggs that were overcooked. Interested in going back for more taco options outside of brunch. Drinks looked good.
We went to Buena Vida for brunch. It was OK and fine. We just weren't overly impressed. The service was not good. The waitress did not know the answers to the simplest questions about the ingredients and the menu offerings. She was very nice, though, and offered to check on the answers to our questions each time. And then we had so many different wait staff delivering our food and picking up our plates, we didn't know who our main waiter/waitress was! Two of us ordered omelets and they were the smallest omelets I have ever seen. Maybe a 1.5 egg omelet? We thought that maybe the waitress misunderstood us and split one omelet order for us, but we were indeed charged for two omelets, so that was not the case. The brussel sprout hash was very good. And we appreciated the gluten free offerings. Although one person at our table received her food 10 minutes before the rest of us. The atmosphere is cute and funky and it was quite crowded when we got there on a Saturday morning at 11 a.m. I would go back and give them a second chance, if I was in the area.
Our experience at Buena Vida was amazing and unforgettable. The food was incredibly delicious and even impressed the visitors from California with a very high bar for Mexican food. The service went above and beyond anything we could have hoped for. We were dining with a guest who required accessible seating and had some major dietary restrictions. The hostess seated us no problem in the casual bottom floor space and happily provided us with both the downstairs and upstairs menus to choose from. Then, the chef himself came out into the dining room to talk to the guest with dietary needs to make sure that he could make him a dish that was exactly right for him and exactly what he wanted. On top of all of that, they gifted us with churros on the house to make the experience extra special. I wish I were a local so I could come here all of the time, but I highly recommend it to anyone!
Great food; delicious make-your-own carnitas tacos; good service even on Saturday evening. Margaritas were pretty disappointing
Selected the unlimited tapas and drinks for $49 and got to try lots of diff dishes. The food was mediocre. Drinks were good. Overall, for the price, it was worth it but was not deeply impressed.
Odd location aside, lunch was really great. You must park in the garage and hopefully figure out what exit is closest to the restaurant. We did the $19 unlimited small plates. Everything was very good. My friend thought the spinach burrito (??) was just ok and I felt the same about the queso dip but overall a really good value. The margaritas were a nice size but I've had better.
Excellent food, packed with flavor! It came out fast and hot. Service got slow towards the end of the night.
Everything was fantastic - food, service, drinks, and decor. This place is now my new favorite!
The staff was great and the food was amazing !! I can’t wait to go back again.
Food was not well spiced. The combination of flavored did not mesh. Waitstaff was overwhelmed with many tables, so service was definitely not the best. When you are doing the unlimited drinks/dinner option, the waitstaff should be coming around more frequently. We had to flag him down 90% of the time. Some items on the menu were not available.
We went for lunch expecting to be part of Restaurant Week, only to be told that they do not serve lunch on the weekends - only brunch and that was not part of the Restaurant Week special. They served us stale bread to begin our brunch. When we told the waiter that the bread was stale, we were asked if we "wanted more bread," as to suggest "more bread" was extra. No, we just wanted FRESH bread, which never came. The quality and taste of the food was just average, but was expensive, so the value was not there. Overall, this restaurant is not recommended and we will not be back.
All the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We sat at the bar and received great service from the bartender. Every tapa we ordered was delicious. I would come back in a heartbeat.
The food was delicious and you can't beat the Buena Vida experience. The bus people in water servers were very attentive with the waitress or self we didn't see as much of it as we would have liked.
I enjoyed the fact that it was unlimited food and drinks for a solid price. I was slightly confused to learn the downstairs was consider a separate restaurant from upstairs, however the food was made on the lower level. I thought the drinks were great the food on the other hand was ok. There was a serious lack of seasoning on the chicken for the enchiladas and for the steak taco. I really enjoyed the chicken quesadilla and the plantains. Overall I thought it was a decent experience but not sure if I would come back for anything other than the drinks and quesadillas.
Great food, great service, and great atmosphere. Had lunch there with the restaurant week small plates special. Great way to try lots of different dishes. My favorites were: the Tostones Guacamole, the Open Faced Chicken Quesadilla, the Black Bean Soup, and the Fried Fish dish (forgot the official name).
Came for Restaurant week but will be back - food was fantastic and service fabulous
great restaurant week bargain at lunch xxxxxxxxxxx
Here's how I discovered Buena Vida - asked my wife if she wanted to go out to dinner - that is, of course, a rhetorical question. I'm much pickier than she, a vegetarian tending vegan with high standards for quality, imagination, presentation. So, I typed into a search engine: "Where should we eat tonight?" - first hit was Buena Vida. I checked the menu - sangria for the wife - mexican tofu dish me me, I check the location, about a mile from our house. OK - thank you search engine, great suggestion! Absolutely true story. Everything was PERFECT.
I have been to Buena Vida a few times and I absolutely love it! Unfortunately, it seems as though the quality of service and food have gone down. As much as I want to love this place, I cannot say this is a 5 star restaurant. I have visited for brunch twice recently and both times were not the best. The food came out room temperature and the service was very slow. Some plates that were ordered never came out although we were told that they would be coming out shortly. Drinks are great and I love the decor and vibe of the place!
We've been twice and the food is consistently interesting, tasty and well-presented. The ambience is fun and the crowd seems to be enjoying it. However, on this visit we had some service issues - it was hard to get seated and even harder to get the attention of the waiters, and some dishes were forgotten and came out very late as a result.
We felt that the food was bland and that it was over priced
Went after friend told about the brunch. We went at 4 on a Saturday afternoon. Waiter Ray was very attentive and TTT margaritas were really good.
Had happy hour plates and the food was very good. We would highly recommend. And parking garage right next to it. All in all a very nice experience.
Amazing service with a smile! It was our first time there and I highly recommend the 'unlimited' option on the menu. Loved the ambiance and decor which evokes a wonderful modern Mexico vibe.
Did the all you can drink/eat for $39. Food was just mediocre. Food runner was new and brought out food to the wrong table multiple times and the wait was long. Told the manager about our experience and he was accommodating. Would consider giving them another chance.
Another wonderful meal at Buena Vida. The all-you-can-eat dining experience here is fantastic. Outside of special events, it's usually a great value. NYE was expensive, but as to be expected. Every bite of food with a sip of my delicious white Sangria was a fabulous way to bring in the New Year.
