Tasty food and convenient location
Awesome place with good food and drinks and service
Completely awful experience. We put our food order in at 7 PM and at 8:20 we still had no food. Server told us it would quite a while because there were five tickets in front of ours. The restaurant did not even have 10 tables in it. The server simply forgot to put our food in the computer. Server was Trent. He charged us for food we never received. Over charged us & refused to correct it. Told us he would pay us the difference in cash a& still didn’t pay what he overcharged. I had to contact management this morning. Spoke with Nathan and told him the server needed to no longer be employed by that business. Ethan did not seem overly concerned about what I was reporting to him. That was very disappointing for management.
Overall awful experience and we will no longer visit while in town.
Food and service were good. We had a booth for 4 older ladies. Restaurant was fairly empty and they opted to sit a family with 3 children under the age of 8 next to us. The children were climbing around etc. With all the empty booths, they could have spaced us out.
The service was quick. Margs were decent. Salsa was really fresh. Typical Mexican food in a good location
Food and drinks took forever to get to the table and the beans and rice were horrible, tacos were barely full with anything and I never saw my waiter. I would never come back.
Only rated 4 stars because of the service. We made reservations via OpenTable earlier in the day, I had a confirmation email, and I even saw my name on the list when the first hostess I spoke to was scrolling. The second hostess came up & told us we would be seated "as soon as a few tables cleared up". OK no problem.
We proceed to wait for a while longer before my friend finally goes to ask what the status of our table is. The second hostess says she now does not see my name on their list. Even though she told me earlier that we would be seated as soon as a few tables cleared up. I also saw others (of the same party size) who came AFTER us get seated before us. Pretty irritating to feel so brushed off.
I showed her my confirmation email and we get the ball rolling on getting a table. We ended up finally getting seated at 7:55, when our original reservation was at 7:30.
The service throughout the night was generally slow, but that wasn't really a big deal because our server was lovely and had a huge party to take care of. She really did the best she could and worked so hard--absolutely loved her and her positive energy & I feel she did the best she could!
My friend and I were just disappointed with the overall experience with the slowness of service, especially because we had specifically made a reservation.
Waited 20 minutes for water and another 20 for a drink. First hour
Had to ask a couple of times for service. Had to ask for the bill. Seated near door, which was left open twice with below average temperatures, even after we requested that they close it. I’ve been to this restaurant over twenty times and today was an awful experience.
This was my first time at this establishment. I was looking for a place to take my daughter for brunch that wouldn't have a long wait. This place is definitely a diamond that people haven't caught on to yet. The moment we walked in the host was very energetic and friendly. We were sat immediately next to a window. It was a gloomy day, but the energy was as vibrant as if was sunny. Our waiter Kyle came over and explained the menu to us so that we would know how we could order our tacos if that was the route we were going. You could get up to 4 tacos on the combo plate, which also included rice and beans or breakfast potatoes.
We started out with a fresh cinnamon roll, which was free because we got there before 12pm. That was a great surprise and treat. My daughter ordered a variety which included two chicken and waffle tacos, a cheeseburger taco, a brisket taco, and breakfast potatoes. I ordered two shrimp tacos with the glazed potatoes. I asked for a side of habanero sauce, which was FANTASTIC if you like spicy. I got some to go too.
We ordered the jug of pineapple mimosa, and it was very good, and strong for the $12 price.
Overall, for the amount of food we got (we each only finished one taco and all the potatoes), the taste, and price, we were exceptionally pleased with what we received. This will be one of our go to placed for brunch.
Very straightforward Tex-Mex—the Chile sauce on the cheese enchiladas had homemade chili instead of the canned stuff. Tortilla quality was good, too! The staff was very courteous!
Awesome atmosphere and food...
Great wait staff as well
I ordered the ceviche which was an appetizer for $12
It was mostly all tomato’s, there where two shrimp and just a couple of pieces of fish through the whole thing.. just was not worth the money for sure..
I went for a birthday dinner, which was mentioned in the open table reservation but the staff did not recognize it.
Really terrible service. Food was great, but they need to work on server and bartender training.
nachos were a disappointment
Fun spot for a group. Food was great and service excellent!
Ambiance is good, food is bland, service is just OK. Too many good places to eat Mexican food in Dallas to accept food that lacks punch.
It was a very clean and modern taco joint that had screen TV 's throughout the restaurant. Our service was very good. Our food came hot and was a good size portion. We also had our parking in the attached garage validated for the length of our dinner and sporting event. What a plus. We will definitely come back the next time we go to an event at the AA center.
The food was amazing!!!! The service was not, took forever to get a waiter (he wasn’t the most charming guy) when managers got involved it was better but never good. Would try again because of the food.
Great food and service
Great location! Great atmosphere! Great Service! Great place to meet friends for drinks and/ or dinner. We like to try new restaurants and this one didn't disappoint. For starters we had a dish called Brussels...not your traditional brussel sprouts. Normally they are not my thing..lol. our server suggested these and he too said he wasn't a big fan of brussel sprouts... they were delicious..they had a hint of honey dijon mustard which made all the difference... this dish was hands down a winner in my book! For entrees we had the shrimp taco meal and the spinach and mushroom enchiladas. Both were equally well prepared and pleasing to our taste. We quenched our thirst with Arnold palmer. Date night was a hit at this restaurant. 1st time visiting and we will visit again. 👍🏼👍🏼...1 last thing! There are plenty of TVs for all of us sports fans and the music was great. No too loud!
It was Christmas Eve so not crowded at all. Was our first time and the service was great. Chips and salsa are always the first impression to any restaurant like this and I would say they were ok. Not extraordinary, but ok. Menu has a lot of great options and we opted for 2 tacos with rice and beans. Tacos were pretty good. Charro beans were really good and margaritas were good. Overall, I rate a 3 out of 5 stars
Food was bland, service was terrible considering the restaurant was not busy
New place. 1st time diner. We were a party of 8. Server Caleb was attentive n performed very well in all aspects. Food was great n cocktails were spot on. Would go back anytime in the area.
This place never disappoints. We had the BEST time and the food is amazing. Just trust me on this... GET THE BRUSSEL SPROUTS!!!
We went to Taco Lingo for a birthday celebration. Our reservation was for 6 but 10 showed and the staff handled the change gracefully. Our food was served pretty much at the same time which is impossible to do with such a large crowd. Everything was tasty and management even threw in a few extras for the table. The ambiance was perfect. I will most definitely go back.
We chose to dive to have lunch after visiting Santa at North Park. We were seated immediately. I ordered the Pollo Blanco, as suggested. AMAZING! The peppers and onions were cooked just right (not raw like other restaurants). The steak they use for the carne asada tacos melts in your mouth. With validated parking this is becoming my go to place anytime I venture out into the Dallas area. The servers are also very good and trained well.
As always TacoLingo did not disappoint. Salsa was amazing! Fajitas were great and did not disappoint. We will be back.
The food was just ok. I found the atmosphere boring for brunch. There was no energy. The service was fine but our food was handed to us from a girl that basically just through it over a fence on the table. She could have properly walked up to the table and handed it to us. I seriously doubt we will be back and its sad I really wanted to like this place.
The service was outstanding and the Carne Asada tacos are to die for!!!!
The service was slow overall. They sat us quickly and had good food and drinks, but service is key.
I’ve been there twice in one day (Friday) lunch and dinner and dinner with friends on Saturday and we enjoyed the food and atmosphere.
Great food! Haven’t been disappointed anytime I went her for lunch!!
Excellent meal at a great price in uptown. We ate before the Stars game and got a 10% discount! We’ll be back
Our server, Destiny, was really awesome. She gave great recommendations from the menu and made us laugh. We will ask for her when we return.
Waitress didn’t seem to know the margarita offerings and mezcal appeared to be a new concept. 🤔🤔🤔
We ordered the queso and it was terrible.
The shrimp diablo was by far the best dish. Avacado tacos were also quite tasty but the carnitas tacos were dripping with grease and made a mess.
In town for ball game. Friendly and nice staff, food was excellent. Music too high with bass balance. Other than that this is a nice restaurant. Should ask about validation of your parking.
