Love going for drinks/happy hour but sunday brunch wasnt good - at all! Chileqilas were awful - standard brunch item but these were literally a bowl of MORE chips with scrambled eggs & green chile on top - egg nachos?! Horrible!! The other plates at our table wer better but sub-par all around. Great ambiance and great place to meet for drinks…but SO many better places for brunch - SO many.
It’s worth the hype. Delicious food and cocktails with an incredible ambiance. We had a great server too.
Jen our server was fantastic!! She made the evening!!
Mother Day brunch food was excellent sat outside service was good food was excellent we will be going back a few more time for the dinner part.
Music too loud, all hard surfaces so sound levels were too loud for the place. Food is great, but I won't get my parents to come back because of the acoustics. Please consider adding some acoustic panels.
Great Food and Great Service... A unique place to dine...
The chips are awesome. The flavors in the tacos were amazing. The shrimp ceviche was good but a bit too limey tasting.
Over priced mediocre tacos. Cools space but that’s about it.
The setting in an old church is so original ! And so is the menu. It was great ! Only thing is that the music was too loud and it was hard to hear my date...
Yummy shrimp tacos on lettuce cup!
The food was beyond delicious and the atmosphere in the church was beautiful. We had an awesome lunch experience. Looking forward to going back again!
They were closed we will celebrating my birthday. We drove 45 minutes because I love taco guild I am was sad that I did not get a call or text about them being closed
We had out of town guests to take out on April 18. We had reservations & drove 1 hr to get to Taco Guild, only to find out they were surprisingly closed. Why would a restaurant not call the people who had reservations to let them know the restaurant had to close for that day?
So disappointing, & a huge waste of time.
Last night we went to taco guild for an 8:30 reservation. Got there early and had to wait until 8:40 for our table. The waitress was training and the gentleman training her, was not helpful. He contradicted everything she said. Instead of being at the table with her, he would come over after she left to tell us the opposite. She had taken our drink and appetizer order. The trainer then came back and said we don't have any food we need to ask you to leave . Like what!? Your restaurant doesn't have food at 8:30pm? Why did they make us wait for a table and take our drinks. When the drinks came to the table our waitress said our appetizers would be right out. We then told her what her trainer had said, no food and to leave. The manager could talk to us if we wanted to wait, but after 10 more minutes we didn't have time to wait and needed to find a restaurant that knew how to operate and order supplies. I think there is new ownership, no one was wearing masks that worked there and someone mentioned they just replaced their entire staff. Can't go here again, and need to think twice if ever going to Ztejas as well.
They made us wait 30 min for our reserved table , let us place orders, and then told us the kitchen was closing and wouldn’t be able to fulfill our orders. They tried to give us gift cards but I said not to bother, we won’t be back. Not to mention, Thee server had to tell us this. The management should have been the ones to deliver this information.
Beautiful building, great food, fun upbeat live band and perfect drinks. My husband and I are visiting from WA state and we will be coming back next time we are in town! This place did not disappoint.
I would never go back.
First off, they have no control over their reservations and capacity and I didn’t get the table that I reserved.
Plus they’re not even following even the most basic of CDC guidelines to help protect customers as well as they are employees. Which then makes me question if they’re lax on food safety as well.
The food itself was mediocre at best. Wasn’t bad but wasn’t great.
We sat outside which took away from the ambiance a bit but felt safer given COVID status. The queso was AH-MAZING. Loved the tacos too and will definitely return when we are in the area again.
Great food! Wonderful ambience. Enjoyed our dinner
Great service, food, and drinks
We sat on the patio since the noise level inside is quite high. Service and food were great
Very nice ambiance, enjoyed the food and the service.
Cocktails are bit expensive and music was too loud it was difficult to hear each other at our own table. Food was fantastic.
Delicious food and ambiance. Will definitely return.
Definitely one of the best taco restaurants Phoenix, hands down.
Great ambiance, cool business model and a fun place to visit. However, the prices are quite high. Single tacos are $6-$9 each, a minimum of $18 for three tacos before tax and tip? An up charge of $4 for the free side if you pick corn? Don’t think we will ever go back, honestly.
Had a great evening at Taco Guild. Our table for 8 was ready when we arrived, and all the food was delicious, from the apps and tacos to the desserts and drinks. Great margaritas. Fun & unique atmosphere & great service. I don't live in Phoenix, but I would definitely go back the next time I'm in town!
Overall, the food was delicious. The chipotle cherry steak taco and the lamb tacos were magnificent. Def. recommend the churros and hibiscus tea which is very refreshing. I give it an overall 4 because service was slow. We waited about 10-15 min before someone came to our table to get our drink order. He didn’t check back frequently and we were often waiting for things like sugar or asking for something like dessert. The atmosphere is very welcoming; however, it’s very loud and voices carry.
We booked a table for 7 well in advance. We received multiple emails and texts asking us to confirm the reservation which we did. The restaurant had my cell phone and email address connected to reservation to contact me about problems, but never did. When we arrived at the restaurant after a long drive with out of town guests, there was a note on the door advising the restaurant was closing at 7pm for mechanical issues. When we checked in at the desk, the hostess told us we could stay if we agreed to dine quickly and leave by 7pm. We were told different stories by staffers about the reason for closing. Our sense was the workers decided to close the restaurant early to watch NCAA finals. A frustrating experience when we planned this ahead. Our food was quite salty and service was subpar.
Went here for Easter, expecting they would still be serving their Easter brunch. The server said they weren't serving it because they were understaffed. This is the first time I have been to this restaurant and the service was incredibly slow. We waited almost 20 minutes before a server even came to our table. Here's to hoping the service and staffing is improved because the food is good.
Delicious and Fresh food.... The guac, queso & salsa are amazing! The rich history and authentic ambience completes the culinary experience. A must EAT!
The food was wonderful and the service was very friendly and quick. Enjoyed all of it.
Great food, Beverage and service! The entire staff was eager to assist to make your meal perfect.
Food, service, ambiance, drinks - all top-notch! A little pricey, but worth it!
I am disappointed at all my friends! They should have told me that Taco Guild has the WORLDS BEST TACOS!! On a scale of 1 to 10 they got a 9... A 9 ya’ll! I have never given any taco anything above a 7 let alone a 9. Honestly, the only reason that they received a 9 and not a 10 was due to price. They are close but juuuust a tad overpriced in my opinion. AINT STOPPING ME FROM GOING BACK 4 days later for more! Do yourself a favor. GO TO TACO GUILD... NOW!!
Great food and service. The venue is unique and fun!
Yummy food and cocktails!
Food was great but the music was so loud it was hard to have a conversation.
You could barely hear the person you are talking too and everyone is so close to each other in the restaurant it’s like a can of sardines. Plus the food was mediocre, the queso was awful but the environment was cool. Very average place. Just because it’s in a church and it has above environment doesn’t mean the value of food needs to go down.
Server did not wear a mask. All others did but ours.
