Third time and never disappoints. The food, service, and atmosphere are great.
The restaurant was an old church and decorated along that theme. Very cute.
Food was fantastic, but the dessert tastes like it was baked and purchased from Walmart.
This is a really fun place to meet with friends. They did a nice job preserving the building and making part of the restaurant theme
Service was friendly and very fast! Food was incredible, compliments to the chef!
This place is really cool! I loved the ambience (it's an old converted church) but the extremely loud club music made it a little hard to talk.
It was great! The staff was very accommodating when we showed up with more people for our reservation. Definitely would recommend
Great waitress, atmosphere and food
$14 for a 5 oz juice glass for the margarita during confession hour is ridicule. Margarita should always be served in a Margarita Glass.
If the food is incredible the atmosphere is if with all of the stained glass windows from the church still in place. If still in place. 1st time taking my wife there I've been thinking my wife there I've been there for lunch during the week a couple of times and she loved it.
Great date ambiance. They had live music Friday night. Food is great.
We love the Taco Guild! We are happy to listen to live music on a Friday night and watch people assemble for food and good times. Our one and only complaint was that the street corn side (off the cob) tasted notoriously canned. We ordered two servings for our table of four and everyone agreed. That problem may have occurred for many reasons, but to avoid it, order your street corn on the cob. We didn’t complain because we had stellar service and everything else was tops. Post Covid complaints don’t feel like something we should dispense, particularly with restaurants trying to recover. We love our dining out experience at Taco Guild and many of the DT Phoenix restaurants!
Great spot to meet up with friends to enjoy some good food and drinks. A high-energy place so if you are expecting to find a quiet spot to have a business conversation, you may want to go after your business meeting.
The service was great!! Very friendly staff!. Food was good, but not great!
Cool venue in a repurposed Methodist church. It was happy hour so I ordered from that menu. The chicharrones were disappointing. Nothing different from the kind you pour out of a supermarket bag. The seasoning was interesting though. The wings arrived and they were quite nearly raw! The sauce was sweet, spicy and sticky so no way to reheat without charring. I brought them home and tried. They burned. The Topo Chico water and the excellent company were the highlights of my visit. I would recommend for the ambience but only to non-discriminating diners.
Ambiance, food, and service were all exceptional
The food was overcooked & dry. Tortillas were not hand made compared to our first visit. Very disappointed in the quality of the food for the price. Service was good though.
The queso is incredible!!! We all had different tacos and enchiladas and everything was great including the margaritas.
Same wonderful food and service! Same way too loud space.
Loved the burrito and queso.
As it is always the tacos were good. The service was friendly and the food came out fast.
Great building and the food was yummy! Our server was very nice and attentive.
Beautiful space - very hip vibe! Good food - great service and a great place for cocktails!
My chicken Tinga was dry and the food for myself and my friend was luke warm in temperature when we got it. My friend said that her beef was a bit on the gristly side. The drinks were small for the cost with minimal alcohol. Peter was a really good waiter though!
Great food but slow in seating us and a request for limes went unanswered twice. Looks like they could use a few more servers which seems to be a challenge for everyone these days
The food and service are outstanding. If you're looking for a quiet conversation, however, go elsewhere.
Delicious food.Freindly staff. Great ambiance. Setting is very unique. Highly recommended.
It was our first time going to Taco Guild. The ambiance of being in an old church was super cool! It had an awesome vibe. Downside with that was because the whole floor was "open" it was fairly loud in there. (Not the best for a first date, which is why went). The drinks were absolutely spectacular, however getting service was quite a struggle. However it was a Friday night so the place was packed and definitely seemed understaffed. Regardless, when we did get service, they were very nice and cool. Now for the food... it's very over priced for what it is. I get that you're paying for the "ambiance" and all, but its still not worth it for what it is. Don't get me wrong, the food isn't bad tasting, it's just not worth the price if you're there for tacos. You can spend twice as much for the tacos than you would a burrito or quesadilla, and end up with less than half the amount of food. In conclusion, I'm not sure I would ever go back again, but I would definitely recommend Taco Guild to people in that area, or to those just wanting some good drinks in a unique environment.
Taco Guild was a great find, the food was outstanding! It certainly was not inexpensive...be prepared...everything is a la carte. The was not bad, but slow and did not match the amazing food and location.
Love the place - music a little loud which makes people talk louder.
Very pleased with our first experience at Taco Guild. It definitely lived up it our expectations. Great place for a couple or going out with friends.
The tacos aren’t good, they were hard and that was literally a minute after I got them, but the nachos and the gentleman that was our waiter was amazing
Drink prices could improve a bit, especially the tequila prices
Love going for drinks/happy hour but sunday brunch wasnt good - at all! Chileqilas were awful - standard brunch item but these were literally a bowl of MORE chips with scrambled eggs & green chile on top - egg nachos?! Horrible!! The other plates at our table wer better but sub-par all around. Great ambiance and great place to meet for drinks…but SO many better places for brunch - SO many.
It’s worth the hype. Delicious food and cocktails with an incredible ambiance. We had a great server too.
Jen our server was fantastic!! She made the evening!!
Mother Day brunch food was excellent sat outside service was good food was excellent we will be going back a few more time for the dinner part.
Music too loud, all hard surfaces so sound levels were too loud for the place. Food is great, but I won't get my parents to come back because of the acoustics. Please consider adding some acoustic panels.
Great Food and Great Service... A unique place to dine...
The chips are awesome. The flavors in the tacos were amazing. The shrimp ceviche was good but a bit too limey tasting.
