First time here and it was overall a wonderful experience. Beautiful place, Great food, fantastic customer service.
This is one of my favorite places in Phoenix! I haven’t been in a year, but I love as pleased to see some things are still the same.
Food is unique and flavorful; however, restaurant can be busy lunchtime yet worth the visit.
Such a beautiful building! The food was really good and we were all so pleased. The ambience was great too! Overall it felt like we were the only ones there because the noise level was so quiet even with plenty of filled tables. I can’t wait to dine here again!
Place looks cool inside , but the food was not up to standard.
Great food, drinks, and at an extremely unique location. Would highly recommend.
This place is all about the ambiance. The food is ok, maybe for 50% of the price.
Menu was very streamlined since last dined. No more choose 3 different tacos as an option. So paying btwn 6 to 8 for a single taco seemed a bit much. Fallen Angel cocktail would def order again along with the happy hour nachos.
Waiters were talking about my table and thought I couldn't hear them. Very unprofessional. Wait staff could use some training and guidance. Waitress also gave me big bills back and never returned. Someone should probably tell her that giving 20s back will probably produce no tip or more work of being flagged down again.
Overall, loved it ! Great food and drinks !!
Tacos were delicious but over priced.
Love the food and ambience! Waiter was very helpful and friendly. Great service
Very cool ambience. Great service and excellent food. Definitely an experience
This is definitely an experience and the food is great as well. What was outstanding was the service staff! From hostess to the servers they were so helpful, accommodating and extremely knowledgeable about the food. The ambience is a once in a lifetime experience but sometimes the service is not a focus when you already have something that draws people in. But not the case here- there is a level of respect to the space the food and the diners that represents the southwest hospitality! I had friends refer me to the place and I shall do so to everyone I know ;)
Third time and never disappoints. The food, service, and atmosphere are great.
The restaurant was an old church and decorated along that theme. Very cute.
Food was fantastic, but the dessert tastes like it was baked and purchased from Walmart.
This is a really fun place to meet with friends. They did a nice job preserving the building and making part of the restaurant theme
Service was friendly and very fast! Food was incredible, compliments to the chef!
This place is really cool! I loved the ambience (it's an old converted church) but the extremely loud club music made it a little hard to talk.
It was great! The staff was very accommodating when we showed up with more people for our reservation. Definitely would recommend
Great waitress, atmosphere and food
$14 for a 5 oz juice glass for the margarita during confession hour is ridicule. Margarita should always be served in a Margarita Glass.
If the food is incredible the atmosphere is if with all of the stained glass windows from the church still in place. If still in place. 1st time taking my wife there I've been thinking my wife there I've been there for lunch during the week a couple of times and she loved it.
Great date ambiance. They had live music Friday night. Food is great.
We love the Taco Guild! We are happy to listen to live music on a Friday night and watch people assemble for food and good times. Our one and only complaint was that the street corn side (off the cob) tasted notoriously canned. We ordered two servings for our table of four and everyone agreed. That problem may have occurred for many reasons, but to avoid it, order your street corn on the cob. We didn’t complain because we had stellar service and everything else was tops. Post Covid complaints don’t feel like something we should dispense, particularly with restaurants trying to recover. We love our dining out experience at Taco Guild and many of the DT Phoenix restaurants!
Great spot to meet up with friends to enjoy some good food and drinks. A high-energy place so if you are expecting to find a quiet spot to have a business conversation, you may want to go after your business meeting.
The service was great!! Very friendly staff!. Food was good, but not great!
Cool venue in a repurposed Methodist church. It was happy hour so I ordered from that menu. The chicharrones were disappointing. Nothing different from the kind you pour out of a supermarket bag. The seasoning was interesting though. The wings arrived and they were quite nearly raw! The sauce was sweet, spicy and sticky so no way to reheat without charring. I brought them home and tried. They burned. The Topo Chico water and the excellent company were the highlights of my visit. I would recommend for the ambience but only to non-discriminating diners.
Ambiance, food, and service were all exceptional
The food was overcooked & dry. Tortillas were not hand made compared to our first visit. Very disappointed in the quality of the food for the price. Service was good though.
The queso is incredible!!! We all had different tacos and enchiladas and everything was great including the margaritas.
Same wonderful food and service! Same way too loud space.
Loved the burrito and queso.
As it is always the tacos were good. The service was friendly and the food came out fast.
Great building and the food was yummy! Our server was very nice and attentive.
Beautiful space - very hip vibe! Good food - great service and a great place for cocktails!
My chicken Tinga was dry and the food for myself and my friend was luke warm in temperature when we got it. My friend said that her beef was a bit on the gristly side. The drinks were small for the cost with minimal alcohol. Peter was a really good waiter though!
Great food but slow in seating us and a request for limes went unanswered twice. Looks like they could use a few more servers which seems to be a challenge for everyone these days
The food and service are outstanding. If you're looking for a quiet conversation, however, go elsewhere.
