There was a piece of plastic in my husband’s chicken tacos. Unfortunately he didn’t find it until after he had taken a bite of the taco. The server was very nice and apologetic. His meal was comped, but we will not return. Also, our table was sticky when we sat down.
Hoping it was due to the recent evacuation being lifted but we were in town from Texas and made reservations through open table for 9/30, showed up on time to find the restaurant empty. Front desk of Harvey’s didn’t know it was closed. Not sure why we were able to make reservations.
Check first! They were scheduled to be open and I MADE RES., BUT THEY WERE CLOSED!THEY REOPENED THE NEXT NIGHT
Service was prompt and friendly. Food was served hot and was very good
I’d rather drink from the lake and get serviced by the birds that sit on the hotel.
Dark, loud, in the basement. Service was fair to Good, food fair/poor. Overpriced. $8 for chips. Bad sign.
The food was disappointing. Didn’t eat anything but the nachos which were good. Service was good. Would not return except for a Coconut Margarita.
On vacation and our first time here. Service was great and food quality was good. Steak tacos were a little chewy but chips were light and tasty. They charge $8 for chips and salsa, which is way too expensive.
Great food and service! Margaritas were amazingly good.
I eat here every time I come to HARVEYS. I always get the chicken fajitas. And I have to get two extra tortillas there’s so much chicken and vegetables. It’s delicious.
Family get together
The menu was too unique to where the meal’s flavoring was not enjoyable. Was not the experience my husband and I were looking forward to.
The table tops are so sticky from the disinfectanct that my drink stuck to the table to where i spilled it everywhere. Waitress did not offer anything to clean it up with nor a replacement drink. She simply stated..."oooh thats been happening".
Great service and food
Everything was good except the meat in the fajitas was very tough. Everything else was perfect. The waitstaff was friendly and offered great service, drinks were good, and the rest of the food was delicious.
Table was sticky and so was the floor. Carne asada was chewy. Server was snotty.
The Belly Burger was very good and so was the Lettuce Wrap. Modelo Especial was on the menu as draft but only available in bottles.
Table was disinfected but not really clean. Had them clean it again but it needed to be scrubbed, I used my napkin and sanitizer and removed dried on food.
BBQ ribs were so tough I couldn't naw through them. They offer borritos but they aren't on the menu, it's just strange.
The chips and salsa were good, the chips are very thin and light.
I gave it a meh rating. Bring back Cabo Wabo...
Went there for lunch as there aren’t too many food outlets in Harvey’s and we had already gone to Hells Kitchen for dinner. From the outset it seemed like a bad choice. The place was empty on a Saturday lunch. The was far from welcoming - wasn’t friendly didn’t smile and despite there having onLymonenother table occupied he sat us at a two-top instead of a five top for the three of us, which unsurprisingly made delivery of our theee entrees and a few appetizers challenging. One bright spot - the waitress and bus staff were great however. As for the food - One entree - the fish tacos were food as was the salad. The roasted corn was good though it was served cut off which was not expected. The ribs were way too salty, the nachos used flour tortillas instead of corn so they got totally soggy from the start. The chicken fajitas I ordered seemed like they were reheated and were totally dry and weren’t particularly well flavored. Honestly, Taco Bell is probably a better bet to cure a Mexican food urge - an authentic Mexican food place this is not. I wish we had just gone to the coffee shop at Harrahs which has much better prepared food. Won’t be trying this place again. I suppose this restaurant has the same issues a lot of places in Tahoe are having finding good cooks and staff.
Haley and the front host were amazing. Very accompanying. The churros were great with breakfast!
Food was good but they did not give us a silverware
Great service, limited menu, very loud !
Great dinner before a concert loss by and a must!! tacos are amazing!!
Too few servers…food took forever
Delicious shrimp tacos and chicken tostada bowl. Friendly and helpful service. We’ll be back!
Good service good portions but crazy loud
As soon as we sat down our waiter asked if we’d like to start with chips and salsa. We said sure. Hadn’t looked at menu yet to see it was an $8.00 charge. Fajitas were fine with an ice cream scoop of rice and black and retried beans mixed.
"Chicken in the tacos was way overcooked. The shrimp in the shrimp po-boy was unidentifiable. It could have been pork, chicken or anything and it was severely over breaded. The guacamole was good. We should have stopped there.
Service was poor, food was worse. They have changed the menu down to nothing. Very few Mexican items on the menu. No More
Good food, but short staffed
We will not be returning to this place. I ordered appetizers well before my meal, when my meal showed up I had to ask about the appetizers. Waitress did not clear one dirty dish. I had asked for salsa. Waitress did not bring it. I gently reminded her, she sighed and said yah in a little bit. The restaurant was not that busy. I waited but my food was getting cold when she finally brought the salsa I had almost finished my meal. The food looked good on the signs but tasted like seasoned cardboard. Hey the best part of the me was the chicken strips off the kids meal. I really feel its so disappointing have an awful Waitress the whole meal and then when they drop off you ticket they seem to be all smiley and friendly as your leaving and they want a tip. Do your self a favor and eat across the street at fat burger.
The food was pretty good. We enjoyed the street corn. Service good have been better. I ordered extra sour cream when we ordered our dinner. The waitress never brought it out. Had to bug one of the other staff to get it. The place was not busy so it was frustrating that she didn’t bother to check in on us
Janie was an attentive server and was able to even talk us into dessert.
Great first experience.. Kaley was awesome, drinks was great, food was delicious. Will be back
The pork belly al pastor tacos were really good and the coconut margarita was made perfect. Service was great and they have a jukebox inside the bar area. Overall great experience.
Our waitress was not attentive at all. We had to flag her down twice to get silverware. Then we needed water and asked for it and chips a few times. Once we received our waters we couldn’t get a refill without flagging her down multiple times.
We mentioned that the Nachos were terrible and all
She said was I never had them so I don’t know. One would of thought since we didn’t eat them that they would of been removed from our bill. But nope she didn’t care. Very poor service and mediocre food.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!! HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!! FOOD PAR AT BEST!! VERY DISAPPOINTED
It was a decent quality restaurant t but priced very high for the food. Excellent service.
My husband and I ate at TaCo while staying at Harvey's out of convenience. I ordered the short rib fajitas and my husband had the short rib tacos. The meat was chewy, fatty, and flavorless. Beans and rice were ok, and my strawberry margarita was overly sweet (even with an extra shot of tequilia). NO FREE CHIPS AND SALSA HERE, even though you are overpaying for your meals, they charge you $8 for something any decent Mexican restaurant would include with your meal. The restaurant area was dark and had food on the floor around our table. Only bright spot was our waitress who was polite and efficient. Take your money to any other restaurant in Lake Tahoe!
Very good food. Place has a nice atmosphere. Casual, don’t have to dress up. Menu was kinda small but all in party if 4 liked their dinners and portions are good.
Food mediocre at best.
Cheese platter was not fresh or high quality.
$8 for chips and salsa lol. Absurd. Should be free.
How ceasars can allow this restaurant to exist is beyond me.
