   The best things about it were the atmosphere and the bread. Otherwise it was a huge disappointment. The dishes were overly rich, not heated properly, and simply did not taste good. I couldn't get past the first bite of either of my dishes.

   Great food, great service, great drinks, we tried this place on our trip to New York, was not disappointed. The hummus appetizer with fried avocado was the best I’ve ever had. Sea bass was tender and fresh. Waitress talked us into a mixed drink- cannot remember the name- something with gin and vermouth. Delicious. We spent a lot but it was a vacation. Would definitely go back.

   The main part of the restaurant is very pretty, but we got stuck next to the bar. A bit noisy and not very relaxing. I am not sure if it makes a difference if you request the main dining room. Food was good, but I wish there were more vegetarian dishes. We had a special that was made vegetarian for us, but I did not enjoy it.

   When I'm in NYC (about once a month), it's a rare trip that a miss a chance to go to Taboon - my favorite midtown restaurant! I often host guests/small groups or recommend theater area restaurants and this treasure never fails to delight. The food is delicious and almost too generous, the staff has that perfect balance of friendly without being intrusive. The wine list is limited but there's always a mid priced wine that complements the evening's dishes. Five starts for being my absolute favorite pre theater restaurant.

   Phenomenal! The open kitchen concept is a great idea; allows patrons to see what's being prepared. From the drinks to dessert the restaurant delivered on our expectations. Would definitely go back and try other items on their menu.

    we went after theater and had a great surprise. this is a little gem. great food, service and ambiance. cozy on a cold night. we could actually talk without shouting, and it is reasonably priced for great food. loved the meze platter and the bread is divine. perfect for before or after theater.
