Tableside Italian Cook Shoppe surpassed our expectations. Great service, delicious food, especially the truffled beggars’ purses, charcuterie/cheese board and special recognition of our wedding anniversary. One of the best meals we’ve had in the city. Bravo!
Menu did not disappoint. Enjoyed the octopus and eggplant appetizers, and the truffled pasta was amazing. Our server was super friendly and had great wine recommendations. Outside seating was warm and comfortable!
I know Valentines Day can be hard for restaurants to do right, but Tableside provided us with an excellent experience. From the delicious food to the service, the music to the spaced out and safe and beautiful ambiance, we couldn't have asked for more on our first night dining indoors in almost a year! Highly recommend the octopus, beef meatballs, ragu and the pork chop!
Came here to celebrate Valentines Day. Was not disappointed! Food, service and atmosphere were great. Loved the tasty crustacean pasta dish, so rich and creamy. My wife had the truffled moneybags which was delicious as well. Thanks for a great night out.
I LOVED my pasta here, highly recommend them over the entrees. The muddler cocktail is literally amazing. The outdoor dining was really warm and comfy. Our service was lovely, we felt a tad rushed- but it was valentines day...so it's understandable! Can't wait to eat inside next time.
We were constantly reminded by our server about the 90 min seating time. Felt rushed due to this. Other than that, everything else was great! The lamb meatballs were delicious!
This was our first time at Tableside. Don was our waiter - and he was awesome. In fact, everything was awesome. Our table of 4 has lived in the East Village for several years and we were remarking that it was absolutely insane that we had never been to Tableside. After Saturday's reservation, we're already planning our next trip.
The food was incredible. We started with a delicious meat & cheese board and added burrata. The truffle honey and trio of hummus was an excellent touch!
For mains, we split four entreés: the pork chop, veal parmesan, truffled moneybags & little ears. Suffice to say that we cleaned every plate. The pork chop was super complex and delicious. The veal parmesan was crispy and thin, perfect sauce to cheese ratio. The moneybags might have been my favorite - you just have to try them. And the little ears are a solid staple (the lightly toasted breadcrumbs really made it).
Thank you to the entire Tableside team for allowing us to feel normal for a night. We can't wait to come back!
I wanted to love it, the reviews were really great but it didn’t live up to the hype at all. The bread and hummus provided was definitely a nice touch and flavorful. I had the lobster pasta and it looked NOTHING like the photos on the restaurants Instagram page. It was over cooked l, very small portion of lobster and the sauce literally had NO flavor. My husband had the drunken chicken which he said was ok. He wanted the meatballs which are advertised as Beef on the menu but he double checked before ordering as he doesn’t eat pork and luckily he asked. The server wasn’t sure if they were just beef so he asked and came back with “they are the classic trip of meat- beef, pork and veal!!” You can’t advertise them as grandmas BEEF speciality but there’s actually pork in them as well. The photos online of the restaurant looked nothing like that in person. There weren’t tablecloths on any of the tables, it was extremely dark and just a cold atmosphere. On a plus note my drink was very good tequila and grapefruit cocktail. Server was friendly. But i would not go back
I sincerely apologize that we did not live up to your expectations. Being our first weekend back open indoors on the busiest holiday of the year for us, we expected hiccups and wish you had told us of your displeasure in person so we could have fixed it. The photos of our space are photos of our space, and none of them show tablecloths so I apologize that you were expecting different. Also please come back for some meatballs on us- this was a big miscommunication and they are 100% beef, so sorry
Tableside has been our go to place for about 2 years now, and best place for all occasions especially to celebrate Valentine’s Day. The great service never fails has been great since the first time we visited and continues that service if not does an even better job of providing an amazing experience than the previous visits. Tableside never seizes to amaze us.
Excellent service all around. It did feel SLIGHTLY rushed towards to beginning so all food orders can be in quickly due to their time constraints so they can accommodate as many customers as possible with the current situation. But once the food arrived we were given ample time to eat and enjoy the food. Wait staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this place, food was AMAZING.
The restaurant was already busy at 5pm on a Saturday which is usually a great sign. Our outdoor table was especially warm with two different types of heaters close by and the dividers on both sides of our table made us feel extra safe. The food was top notch and certainly delicious with perfect portion sizes. I also think our server was the manager as well which was great because it demonstrates the team effort this restaurant puts forth to satisfy their guests and boy did they deliver! We will 1000% return again!
Amazing service and food
Outstanding restaurant. Great for a date night, server was outstanding
Great food! Beautiful and warm outdoor setup. Friendly service - Don was very attentive and accommodating to our needs. Will definitely return soon and often!
Food was great. Outdoor dining setup wasn’t great for winter. Service was okay. Portions were pretty small.
DOPE
Great experience
Great food - actually ate it all
We ate outside, great food, great service despite being outdoors.
good value. very well run and attentive staff. feels like a family-owned spot with good values
My husband and I have been coming to Tableside for years for special occasions and everyday dinners. The concept of elevated classic Italian dishes never disappoints with the cheesy veal and truffle moneybags being true standouts. Their COVID outdoor setup is amazing with ample heating and a 3 sided/covered enclosure. All tables are socially distanced and the staff are diligent about keeping their masks on. The owners and staff are super welcoming and always make you feel at home.
Food was great. Service was impeccable. Nice quiet and cozy
Came here with my wife for a date night. Could not have been happier we picked Tableside. Food, ambience and service were all amazing. They went above and beyond to make sure our dining experience was perfect. The moneybags and Neopolitan ragu were excellent dishes! Also, to note the heater set up for outside dining worked great.
Loved loved this place. Will be back !
A friend recommended this restaurant to me and I am so glad we came. Food was excellent and you couldn't have asked for friendlier service. Felt very clean and tables were well spaced and separate. Will definitely be back!
Celebrated my 20th wedding anniversary with my wife here last night and everything was excellent. Top notch service and mouthwatering food. The ragu pasta was delicious, along with the lamb meatballs, the octopus, and the truffle moneybags. Highly recommend and looking forward to coming back with the whole family. Great service too!
Not good. The pasta looks and tastes like a Stouffer’s frozen TV dinner. It was so bad that the poor waiter offered a complimentary glass of wine. No one that appreciates food food goes here. It’s for tourists and kids in the LES. There are dozens of much better, authentic Italian eateries with tastier food within a stone’s throw.
Appreciate your opinion, especially during this time when small businesses are being shuttered at no fault of their own. The bulk of our business comes from repeat customers and word of mouth; there are no tourists in NYC right now. Look and see that 99% of our feedback is positive. Our waiter topped off your wine as he could sense that you were not satisfied, even though you reported to him that everything was fine. Trying 2 dishes is not enough to write a scathing review such as this.
I love this place! The food, service and ambience of this place is great! Would definitely recommend.
Very friendly service. All of the food was great, even the bread they start you with. Dark moody ambience and quick service. Drinks are great too!
I’ve been here at least 6 times now and never once has there been anything to scoff at. The food is consistently delicious and the service is not only amazing but also very personable. The tuna tartare appetizer special was some of the best I’ve ever had. We sat outside under a heat lamp and we were comfortable the whole time. I love this place.
Always a great experience here! Food is always excellent and staff is accommodating. Came to celebrate my cousin’s birthday and all the first timers could not stop raving about the food! Love this place!
One of the best Italian places I've been to in a long time. The truffled moneybags were an amazing bite and the Roasted Hog may have been the best thing I ate this year.
This restaurant has a nice outdoor seating arrangement with heaters and the street has little traffic. The food was exceptional and beautifully plated. We shared a wonderful beet salad called Taproot Symphony. I had the wild salmon called Upstream Swimming Fish with a digjon mustard sauce that was scrumptious. My guest had Neapolitan Ragu which she really enjoyed. With a glass of wine and generous tip it was $65 and worth it. I can't wait to go back!
One of the best Italian restaurants in NYC.
My fiance and I had an amazing dining experience at Tableside. We were supposed to get married on the day that we went to the restaurant but unfortunately it was postponed due to COVID 19 and the service was nothing more than perfect. They made sure we were happy and enjoying our night with fantastic food and wine. We truly felt very lucky. We will definitely be back again to dine at Tableside!
Awesome service, beautiful COVID safe outdoor space, and top notch Italian food with inventive cocktails!
Lovely restaurant. Outdoor heaters worked great on a very cold night.
This is one of the best restaurants in the east village! Every single time is a delightful experience.
One of the most outstanding lasagnas I’ve ever had in my entire life. Our waiter was a complete gem, was working so hard throughout service and was so kind. I can’t wait to go back!!! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great neighborhood spot.
Great ambiance and service. Food was fairly average.
Lovely service and hearty food.
