This place truly was a disappointment. The service was so slow and food at best average. Strongly suggest to avoid it.
Excited at arrival. Slow to approach table. Oysters over cooked. Gnocchi was dry. Delay on drink and main course. Second drink arrived in a to go cup. Overall moderate to Restaurant August and Meril. Go to either of those before you go here!!!
Dickie Brennan’s Tableau is an amazing French Quarter restaurant. The service was fantastic, the food was to die for, and the craft cocktails are extraordinary.
If you’re in the area, you owe it to yourself to try it out.
Everything was great except for the drink service. Took 30 minutes to get our first round of drinks and then the second round showed up after we had finished our entrees.
The food was only exceeded by the service!
Everything about our experience was outstanding and made our graduation celebration very special!
Bottomless mimosa brunch was great! I had the CREOLE BREAKFAST SKILLET(Cast-iron skillet cornbread, pulled pork shoulder, poached eggs, Tabasco chipotle hollandaise) which was delicious! There was a 3 piece band playing to the different tables and taking requests. So lively and authentically New Orleans. We opted to sit outside, but it began raining before our meals were served. The super friendly and accommodating staff quickly scrambled to move us (and the other outside diners) indoors.
By the time we finished our meals, the weather had lifted and we asked if we could go back outside to finish our drinks. We offered to settle up with our server and start a new tab outside, but he said it wasn’t a problem and he would take care of us outside.
When he came to refill our mimosas, I jokingly said “leave the carafe.” Within seconds, a table side wine chiller was placed with a full carafe of mimosas!! Ha!
They went above and beyond and I definitely recommend and will return if I’m ever back in NOLA.
So much fun celebrating for my birthday!!
Excellent restaurant. Food was impeccable, staff helped us choose most popular dishes, and they did not disappoint. Quiet, nice ambiance. Will definitely go back and have already recommended.
My wife and I had dinner there on Friday night. Everything was outstanding. The food was some of the best that I've had in New Orleans. The Crystal honey butter sauce is amazing and a must try. Service was excellent. Tomas was a very knowledgeable waiter. Wine list was also very good and expansive. I would definitely come back.
This was our first time dining at Tableau, we came on the recommendation of my travel group. There were 4 of us. For starters we ordered the onion tart, gnocchi and French onion soup. The French onion soup was superb. The onion tart and gnocchi weren’t table faves but were still good. For entrees the table ordered the filet, the roasted chicken and gulf fish. The steaks were incredible tender and cooked perfectly. The chicken was a tad bland but the fish was divine. For dessert, we ordered the creme brûlée, the frozen lemon mousse and the chocolate cake. The chocolate cake was dry but the mousse was delicious. The star of the entire night was the creme brûlée. I don’t like the texture of creme brûlée but ate the entire thing. I can’t tell you how much I loved it. LOVE LOVE LOVED it. I will never try creme brûlée anywhere else because I can’t imagine that it would get better than the one at Tableau. We will definitely be back.
Delightful staff and good food. Balcony seating on a nice night- lovely.
Lovely location overlooking Jackson Square - fun place to people watch. Cocktails were tastier than the food. Decent deals for happy hour.
We went for my daughter's 21st Birthday and everyone at the restaurant went out of their way to welcome her and wish her a happy birthday, without being obnoxious. I would highly recommend.
Fantastic service and food. Tomas and Felicia were excellent. They made or experience exceptional!
We were immediately seated at an isolated table for a business lunch, and orders were promptly taken. Compliments of the Chef bites were presented. I ordered a bowl of seafood gumbo; with the bread, it was hearty and plenty of food for lunch. My associate had the salad with chicken, and enjoyed it. Manager checked in with us. Fine lunch.
The best restaurant I've been to in a long time and the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Wonderful meal and attentive, personal staff!! Jazz band was awesome!!
Love this place, it is my Husband and my go to place. Either for a celebration, or for just the 2 of us.
The ambience and customer service were excellent. The menu offered a distinctive selection.
The service was impeccable... the food not so much... they didn’t cook our steaks properly and the potatoes that came with it were cold. When you are paying $35 for a 6 oz filet, that should not happen. We both ended up eating around the raw inside and not finishing the while thing as a result. They did offer to cook it more... we refused the offer because we didn’t want to wait even longer to eat. Truthfully, while it has great flavor... We expected more given the name and price... We could have had the same for less elsewhere.
The cocktails were creative and delicious. The atmosphere classic, clean, and enchanting. The service staff were a well-oiled machine... everything they did was seamless. They were attentive and very pleasant and professional.
Everything was exceptional! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Mya and Jewel provided impeccable service. The Redfish was superb and the local shortbread custard dessert was truly sent from heaven! I could not recommend this restaurant enough. It was delightful!
Excellent dining experience, weren’t rushed, but still got good service. Food was delicious, special evening.
Spent a lovely morning having brunch with friends this past Saturday. Natalie and Felicia were phenomenal servers. I'd book a reservation for our 15th wedding anniversary. We were stuffed from the delicious entrees we'd enjoyed, engaged in delightful conversations as we tried to find the bottom of the bottomless Mimosas and swaying to the music of Joe Simon's trio. THEN, we declined dessert. Felicia showed up with a plated Creme Brulee and four spoons. PERFECTION! Thanks for a wonderful experience in NOLA, home-sweet-home!
We had a great time while enjoying great food, service and wine advice!!! Strongly recommend the Venison Osso Buco and time he Pork Schnitzel paired with an Oregon Pinot.
We ate from the bar happy hour and appetizer menu bc we saw so many things we wanted to try and then shared, including their wonderful wedge salad. We also had dessert. The food was all wonderful! We will definitely be going back.
Great atmosphere and service. The weather was perfect and this is a great place to sit outside.
We dined on the balcony and had brunch. The view was beautiful, the service was outstanding, and the food was amazing!
We are on a mother-daughter trip across country and we’re looking for a great restaurant in New Orleans. The restaurant was wonderful! The only reason I didn’t write the food perfectly is that it was slightly salty
Great food and great service! We had a wonderful experience and I will go back again. Highly recommend this restaurant! If you’re looking for a unique and comfortable setting with wonderful food you have found the place
Sam was our waitress. She did a wonderful of keeping my sate’s mimosa full. The brass band was fun and the shrimp and grits were just right. Beautiful experience.
Brunch was wonderful!
HORRIBLE service, our waiter was clearly stoned. He forgot one of the entrees, then when asked said no to replacing it “the kitchen is getting ready to close and wouldn’t want to make another fish plate”.
Food was OK but the service was awful...even with two waitstaff assigned per table and it not being crowded the service was bad
The best birthday meal you will ever have! ⚜️♥️ The food is amazing, service is even better, and the acapella singers are the cherry on top!
This was the second time that we visited Tableau. My wife and I enjoyed celebrating our anniversary. Katie, our wait person, was so very nice and friendly as was Andrew. The food was excellent.
Such potential to be truly special but marred by a few hiccups. Wonderful service but clearly understaffed. Wine list snafu with a bottle from a different, lesser vintage and a sommelier who decided a small discount was more than satisfactory (it wasn’t!). Food was very good with the exception of one very over cooked steak.
Service was very friendly if a bit slow. I think slightly understaffed but totally made up for it with friendliness and helpful
My sons and I came with somewhat low expectations and were pleasantly surprised by the attentiveness of our servers and the excellent food preparation and presentation. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends. . . it is upscale fine dining in a relaxed friendly atmosphere without the arrogant stuffiness of other comparable establishments.
Was a brand new place for 2 local people. Had 4 at dinner and everyone enjoyed their meal tremendously. Will definitely do repeat. Great for business meals where you want New Orleans feel, flair and food.
