Excellent dining in every sense. Amazing food in a rich, but friendly atmosphere. I would expect no less from any Dickie Brennan restaurant and was certainly not disappointed.
A friend and I were in town for a conference and had a late dinner here. Our food was delicious but the service was awful. Our waiter (or who we think was our waiter) never introduced himself to us or greeted us in any way. No one ever asked if we wanted another drink. They never followed up to see how the food was. We were never offered a dessert menu. Overall we got the impression that our experience was definitely not a priority. The silver lining was that our food was excellent! The service just put a damper on the meal.
Great service, wonderful ambiance. Overall a very good meal.
This was our 3rd time to visit tableau. We enjoyed the first time which was probably a year ago. Around 6 months later we decided to go back but we did not enjoy our food that trip. On our third visit on 4/18/18 we did not enjoy the food or the service. This was the most expensive meal we had on this trip and the worst food. I would not recommend Tableau to my worst enemy
We had an excellent lunch with an awesome view of Jackson Square. It was a perfect last meal before we left to return back to NY
The food was good, but did not meet my expectations for New Orleans.
I was in NOLA for business and I dined here on my last night in town. It was perfect! The service was professional, but at the same time easy going, nice & polite. The atmosphere, decor & food was fantastic (filet bernaise with salad & creme brûlée)! Go - sit outside - let the music flow over you...it was my best meal in NOLA. Thank you for the great time & laughter!
Great food, poor service. It took two and a half hours to eat and did not seem too busy.
Incredible French/Creole food in a beautiful building. Excellent service. Highly recommend.
First time visiting and will definitely be back. Great food well prepared.
Service was very bad.
I reserved the corner balcony table, but unfortunately we didn’t get it. It only seats 4 and we had 5. My mistake and what a bummer it was. However, we still got a balcony table that had a semi view of Jackson Square. FQF was going on so we had a fantastic time feasting, drinking and listening to great music. The food was great, ( I suggest getting the Crystal Shrimp app and the Cochon Eggs Benedict) we had bottomless mimosas, and a great Creme brûlée! My only complaints are, the super slow service and our mimosas weren’t being replenished in a timely matter. However, our waitress was super sweet so that made up for it. I would def go again without a doubt!
Went for Sunday brunch. Told by hostess she'd get us when our table was ready (we had a reservation) and that we could wait at the bar. There was 1 bartender. There was 7 ppl at the bar, and also all the drinks being ordered by people at the tables....you can imagine the issue. He was seriously in the weeds. Forgot about half our order. One group next to us eventually walked out, another got their drinks but no food, and the last group had all their food (app and entree) all come out at same time. When we actually got to our table, the waitresses we had did fine with the service. Our entrees were good. The traveling brass band was a little much/loud going between tables.
With so many good dining options in the city, I would not choose to go back here.
Anniversary dinner. Waiter was not helpful, felt rushed in and out
Treated us to dessert
Our experience was wonderful, the food and service was outstanding
Tableau is pricey but was so worth it! Food and service excellent. Loved the shrimp with roumalade on fried green tomatoes.
Over the course of a short trip to New Orleans, I ended up at Tableau three times, between a business dinner, a Saturday brunch, and a food tour! The gumbo was exquisite, and the bottomless mimosas paired with any of the brunch entrees (eggs Cochon de lait was my fave) made for a delightful start to the weekend! Love the balcony seating overlooking Jackson Square.
We were seated upstairs in a lovely spacious room with a balcony overlooking St Peter Ave. My Bloody Mary was terrific (with a picked green bean, okra and olive). My husband enjoy his first Sazarac and his gumbo was delicious. So was my Salad Maison. We both choose the beef filet with Bordelaise sauce - spectacular. Thoroughly enjoyed this meal with plenty of attentive and caring service.
Visit to see cousins
Fantastic meal to celebrate our anniversary! Everything was perfect - any friends of ours that visit this fine city will have a must-go instruction from us!
Great food in a very beautiful historical building at a great location. The courtyard of the restaurant offers a nice quiet oasis, protected from the outside buzz of French Quarter
Inconsistent on food. Outdoor tables should be wiped down, not only cleared before next seating.
Food was great and service staff was outstanding. Would definitely recommend to others
Outstanding NOLA resturant. We enjoyed dinners on two different nights and both were amazing.
Best seafood gumbo and shrimp grits that I have ever had. Brown butter gnocchi was incredible.
Reasonably priced considering location, ambiance and quality of food.
We left after an appetizer. Sad, because the food has been absolutely amazing in the past. But, the service was atrocious. When I’m spending $200+ for dinner and drinks, I expect to be treated well. Very sad... we left and went to a hole in the wall where people cared if we spent money with them.
We enjoyed our meal, but it didn’t quite live up to expectations. Food was good, my steak was cooked just about right, our puddings were very tasty. Starters were fine. But it’s simple cooking, nothing too fancy. Service was a little slow at times but very friendly. The rooms are vast - we sat upstairs - tables are big and so it’s not cosy for couples but the rooms are elegant with high ceilings and nice decor. A little pricey for the quality of cooking - not much different to GW Fins whose kitchen was clearly superior.
We were seated in the private dining area
Upstairs and it was very nice! I ordered the 6 oz filet and it was amazing!! I’ve had filets at over 1/2 dozen restaurants (top rated) in the area and this is at the top!! Their scalloped potato was equally divine!! Hats off to the chef!!
Wonderful eatery, staff is so friendly and professional. Food is delicious and pleasing. Worth the price, which is very reasonable.
Had lunch there with my family. Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Even had their own Jazz band come and play for us. A beautiful restaurant both inside and outside, complete with a courtyard and upper floors. Historic and yet modern amenities.
Overpriced for the portion sizes you get.
Had dinner there last night after going to gallery opening. We are locals. First time there.
Very busy and wait staff worked tirelessly to keep up.
We both had turtle soup (only I ordered an appetizer) and server served it to both of us as a share. SO THOUGHTFUL
Had the filet with bernaise over summer gratin potato. Delicious.
Split salty caramel ice cream. Enjoyed it. Could have been more creatively presented. Nice portion though.
Drinks reasonably priced.
We wouldn’t run back but would be happy to return at some time.
Delightful, inventive dishes with so much Southern charm and flair. Our servers were outstanding, going above and beyond and everyone was at the top of their game.
The food was excellent. The wait staff was attentive though at times could be slow at getting our drinks, but we had three waiters checking in to make sure we were getting taken care of. Will go back next time we go to New Orleans.
It was great. The manager Lou (I think) gave us great recommendations and the server was very nice too.
our last meal in New Orlean after a 4 day visit, we had a really good one. We first heard of this place when we did a destination kitchen 1/2 day walking tour of the french quarter. Then we tried the gumbo and we liked the restaurant look and feel. We came back and had a great brunch with outstanding service in the patio. Next to Jackson Square, this is a gem that you must explore in the Big Easy.
Great food, great service and great location. Don't pass Tableau up.
The best meal and ambiance in all the eating out we did on vacation in NOLA.
Excellent, as usual. I have been going to Tableau for Easter lunch or dinner since I moved to Nee Orleans. It's a bit on the pricey side but the service and food are certainly worth it.
