This was our favorite restaurant in New Orleans. We’ve been here several times in the past five years, but this is our first time since the pandemic started. Disappointed with various touches that we had taken for granted at Tableau. Could not get oysters as they informed us that they had no-one to open them. Waiter also informed us that he had no bread that was not good enough to serve.
The food was not exceptional this time, just average at best.
We have celebrated our anniversary in here, several times, and they always bring out a complimentary creme brûlée. Not this time.
Only restaurant in New Orleans that did not even ask to see vaccination card.
If it was not for the amazing location, we would not return.
Enjoyed our dinner here. The restaurant is in a prime location - Corner of Jackson Square near the church. We had a fish dish and my husband had a beef dish. Both very good and enjoyable. We had an early dining as we were headed to the Krewe of Boo parade right down the street. Not my most spectacular memorable dinner while in town but lovely, nevertheless.
Completely lived up to our expectations of a fine New Orleans restaurant; a fine NEW ORLEANS restaurant. Beat that!!!
Amazing night on the balcony! Katie the manager did her best to get our family reunion of 6 on the balcony for dinner and it did not disappoint! Awesome food. Awesome views. Great drinks. Thank you Katie!
Great wine list. Service was excellent. Our server Mya was very attentive.
Best balcony in the Quarter. Very good food. Excellent service. Enjoyable in the extreme.
Jewel was amazing
Amazing and Grown!
Request Jewel, she created a wonderful dining experience! Food was amazing!
Great location service and atmosphere, we sat on balcony outside. We had appetizers, shrimp and gnocchi both delish. Decided on the salad and partner did risotto again good. Dining on balcony was great and weather was perfect.
Great food. Great cocktails. Always great service.
Jewel is a jewel!
Don't dare let her escape!
She gets absolutely everything exactly right and vigilantly watches over her guests.
Whenever we eat at Tableau, we always hope and pray the jewel will be our server.
What a wonderful and cheerful member of your staff.
Everything on the menu is great and I really love the gnocchi. Wish I had the recipe.
There béarnaise sauce with the chicken is the best and I wish I had that recipe too.
We usually eat before the theater and what a perfect way to begin the evening.
With the very best regards,
We had an early meal prior to a play next door. I had the fish, which was over-cooked and dry. However, the duck gumbo appetizer was terrific. The cocktails were outstanding as well. It was a mixed bag overall.
Service was fine, though curiously the waiter did not go to the only woman in the group first, which is customary. All of the entrees were acceptable, but not outstanding.
In a city with many great restaurants, I wouldn't go back.
Everything from the greeting at hostess stand and seating to the exquisite Brennan cuisine ( unique, delicious, favorfulllll) to Maya’s kind, professional service: tip top!
Food was okay. Service was non existent. Absolutely no hospitality at all. Minimal effort. There are other restaurants in New Orleans. Being a top restaurant I really expected more. Shame.
Great to be back in New Orleans. Looking forward to the next time.
Fantastic food, great service , overall great experience!!!
Wonderful night out for a birthday dinner!
Excellent service. Awesome atmosphere on the balcony overlooking Jackson Square!
A disappointing dinner out Saturday night at a restaurant that presents itself as a high-end restaurant. We asked for a "quiet table" and were seated in the 2nd floor main dining room. Table provided was next to bus station, across from bar, and adjacent to waiter path through external doors to balcony seating. Not at all quiet, or desireable in any way, and hostess should certainly have known that?!
We asked to move to a different table and waitress helped us accomplish that.
Food ended up being very good, no complaints there. Unfortunately soon after we were seated, a group of 6 loud drunks arrived and sat at an adjacent table.
Some kind of "business meeting" (?on a Saturday night). Quite loud and obnoxious and ruining the atmosphere for us. One of the women at the table was dressed in cut offs and tank top, management at this and most other French Quarter restaurants seem to have adjusted their standards.
Our waitress came over at 8:00 and announced that her shift was over and she would be departing. (?waiter change in mid-meal at a high end restaurant? ). Replacement waitress was not in sync with our order. We were served, ate, and quickly left.
Overall a disappointing experience. I'd suggest avoiding the main dining room on the 2nd floor, it was more of a bar than a dining room.
My husband had the duck gumbo. It was delicious and very full of flavor!
A perfect experience! We sat on the balcony which was so lovely. Had delicious appetizers, dinner, dessert, and drinks. The service was truly wonderful. One of the best dining experiences we’ve had. Thank you!
We love Jewel! Best server ever! The food and drinks were excellent.
Very delicious. Our waitress Tara was very friendly and accommodating. Everything served in a timely and leisurely fashion. Every bite was a treat to the senses.
Had a great brunch in the Courtyard of the restaurant. Great service as well as great food. Highly recommend.
It was so so, we have been here before and enjoyed it. Today wasn’t their day.
Great food. Great atmosphere. Slightly expensive. Small portions.
I had a lunch reservation. It took almost one hour after I was seated before my sandwich was served.During my wait athe waiter came by one time after I flagged him down. He never cam by after my sandwich was served to ask if I needed anything else. And the fish sandwich was really not very good although it was pricey.
I cannot think of a single reason to ever return.
Great food on the balcony overlooking Jackson Square. Highly recommend!
Of the 4 diners food quality was mixed, not bad per se, but also not the quality of past visits- service was still exceptional
Moscow mule was not good. Food was ok. Didn’t like the eggplant. Beautiful place. Good service.
Brunch - Great Courtyard and service was excellent at a New Orleans pace. Food was good but needed more spice which was surprising for NOLA. Great ambience.
Our courtyard dining experience was excellent. It seemed that they were short on waitstaff, so service was slower, but our server had the best sense of humor, so warm and genuine and she did everything for us as she culd. Our food was delicious and the weather was perfect.
Our dinner was excellent! Sarah was super nice and attentive and helped take a group photo. The appetizers and entrees were delicious and well sized. We were seated in the courtyard and it was lovely weather and good ambiance.
Amazingly delicious food and wonderful service. Perfect!
Our service was OUTSTANDING and made it a WONDERFUL evening!
Sat on balcony, weather was perfect. Service was great and so was food.
Food was awesome and server was very attentive!
Went here post covid and post hurricane Ida. It’s still just as amazing as it was on past visits. The duck gumbo and truffle gnocchi were a big hit in our group.
This was an awesome experience!! Food, service, all great!
