Excellent food and service.
The bowls in which most of our meals were served were cumbersome. But, they did not diminish the deliciousness of each and every meal.
I love the seasonal strategy.
One of the best restaurants I have been to in a long time. Staff and chef's were incredibly knowledgeable and kind. Everyone was helpful. And the food was amazing. We had the Chef's tasting menu and each plate was different and delicious.
I would also highly recommend walking through the garden in the back!
I wanted to take my niece and her boyfriend out to dinner for his birthday & my niece chose Table X from the OpenTable listings. It was a great choice and a wonderful place to celebrate a birthday. Friendly and attentive service from the wait staff as well as from the chefs. The food was amazing! For his birthday, they brought out a plate of cookies with a candle. Overall, we were very pleased with Table X.
What fun to find such an attractive restaurant in our "hood"! Excellent food, decor was great. So much fun to explore the space I had known before. Their outside raised garden was interesting to explore and see all the good veggies and herbs, berries getting ready to produce.
We'll be back!
Went there for an anniversary. The staff was very friendly and even wrote "Happy Anniversary" on our dessert plate in chocolate. Great food, great service. Will happily come back
We stumbled upon this place and was very happy we did. Plan to stay for a while and enjoy your food. We enjoyed everything that we had and the inside is really nice. We liked the hip ambiance.
All servers were very knowledgeable and friendly. Would recommend for a special night out, friends outing, or romantic time.
It was a little pricey, but think they food and service was well worth it.
Will be returning.
I love this restaurant! Their food is art at its best. Each dish is well thought out and creative with amazing flavor blends. Everything they serve is fresh and even grow some of their own ingredients. I especially love the beet entree and feel like a very lucky person each time I partake of its perfection. Table X is one of the few restaurants in Utah that switch up their menu according to the season. They tend to every detail right down to a good selection of non-alcoholic beverage choices. I would go so far as to deem Table X the best restaurant in Utah.
We are always amazed by the culinary creativity of these fine chefs. We always go for the five course tasting menu just so we can sample all of the new dishes. It’s a great place to go to for any occasion!!!
Great food and staff. Had the tasting menu and non alcoholic pairing, the 3 drinks were excellent and actual drinks, not shots like some pairings.
All of us loved each dish we ordered, which included three appetizers, four entrees, and two desserts between the four of us. My brother-in-law is a serious foodie and couldn't believe it wasn't packed on a Saturday night--he's from Chicago and thought it would've been a tough reservation to get if it was located there. The delicious extras from the chef (including loaf of still warm bread) was fantastic as well.
Really amazing food. Definitely going back soon.
We had the chef's tasting menu. The tasting menu was amazing, and the wine list was too. Everything was presented beautifully, the textural layout of each dish was well thought out, and the flavor profiles were spectacular. It also is incredibly cheap (55 per person) for such a well prepared meal, so the value you're getting is off the charts. I would have easily payed 110 or more for it, it was that good. I would absolutely go back anytime, and I would recommend it to anyone!
Table X was possibly the best meal I've ever had in SLC. The produce is almost entirely grown themselves in their garden, the meats are cured in the basement, and even some of the seasonings are created in house from scratch. The staff is professional and knowledgeable. 10/10.
The food and service was extraordinary. The Chef's Tasting Menu is highly recommended. This is a "must try" establishment. Truly delightful.
Holy hidden gem! Amazing food. Not necessarily a lot of substance but it's awfully damn good
Amazing menu and food, as always. Our waitress was ok but not great, little spacy/forgetful with drinks and didn't give the normal presentation of the food.
Lovely. Food was fantastic.
The food and atmosphere is amazing. Locally sourced and unique. The food server Tony is excellent at pairing wine and food. He explains the food so well it will make your mouth water.
We enjoy the eclectic experience and will keep patronizing and enjoying. To boost your business consider adding everyday specials such as:
Craft 3 cheese Mac and cheese
Asian meat, noodle, veggies in broth
Ground chicken meatball crouquets
Loved it as usual. I’d leave the boiled peanuts out of the desert. And I’m from southern Virginia too! Pistachios if want a nut element?
One of the top 3 in Salt Lake. They’ve got a refinement and a concept driving them that you won’t find elsewhere in the city. Food, service, cocktails all super on point. You really have to go.
Overall the food and service was very good. We had the Lamb Tartare and Burrata to start, both were very good. For our two entrees we had the Steak and Chicken. For as much as the chicken was talked up I was not overly impressed, though it was still very good. The steak was delicious. I look forward to trying to the Pork entree on my next visit.
Excellent restaurant and service.
Wonderful restaurant and food. Great service. One of the best restaurants in Salt Lake area.
Such a great place to have a meal. The waiters were friendly informative and kind. We had a blast!
Servers were very friendly and personable. Food wasnt something you find every day , tasted excellent and priced lower than expected. I will go back.
Great as always...congenial chefs and very pleasant service,
very creative menu...well researched and applied
Nice atmosphere for our anniversary! They even provided us with complimentary Madeline's for dessert. We loved their mushroom fricassee and could have licked the plate (we did ask for another piece of their amazing homemade sourdough bread to finish off the juices!). The vegetable steak was creative and fascinating. We will definitely be back!
I don't leave reviews often, but our experience at Table X was too good not to. The service was great. The food was excellent. We asked A LOT of questions and the staff happily accommodated us. The restaurant is in a great space, and the concept of farm to table is very apparent with their lovely garden and locally sourced menu items. They also sent us home with a beautiful loaf of sourdough (after we asked a number of questions about their technique). Thanks for a lovely evening!
Such wonderful food every time we come here. The chefs really care about the food and you can taste it!
We were really disappointed with our experience here. First, although we had a reservation, we were inexplicably moved from a much nicer booth location to a table closer to the kitchen and in the direct path of all the wait staff. It was extremely loud in an annoying way - the waiters stomping across a loud wood floor the entire time. Fix the noise!
We had the Chef's tasting menu (the reason we chose this place) and it was just okay. Nothing special. Service was mediocre at best. We started off with no silverware and had to ask for several things (water, etc.). We felt somewhat ignored. Courses were too far spaced apart. Pork dish was not good. My husband actually fell asleep waiting for the last course. (Okay, it was late and he was tired, also just annoyed with the whole thing).
Overall, a waste of money. Skip this place.
This place is simply amazing..... nothing more needs to be said
Skip the foie gras, but the dehydrated beet was unreal!!! It was the best vegetarian meals I've ever had, and I'm not a vegetarian, I love eating animals, the cuter the better. But seriously, it was a truly creative and delectable dish. What a great little gem to have in Sugarhouse.
Kind of a mixed bag for us. The burrata was totally amazing and the steak entree was perfect. Homemade sourdough and churned butter were a nice touch. Nice ambiance and lighting. The pork was charcoal (we saw another one going to a different table similarly overcooked) so avoid that entree. The service was not good. Incredibly slow despite the small number of tables. Overall, it was decent experience.
Innovative food. Great flavors. Highly recommended for foodies.
I wanted to try this restaurant based on it's write up in Salt Lake City Magazine (the dining awards issue) and I was initially impressed with the restaurant design and very friendly hostess who greeted us.
Unfortunately, that was the highlight of the evening. Our server was rude, the prosecco was warm (we waited for at least ten minutes for it to be served after ordering), and everything we ordered was over salted except the smidge of sourdough bread they serve prior to your meal. The menu at Table X is extremely limited and the overall feeling from the dishes we tried, including appetizers, is that this restaurant is just trying too hard. The chicken dish was a joke. The portion of a half a breast and a leg won't be enough to fill up a toddler and the small side dish of smashed peas and a few greens was filled with, I kid you not, shredded (over salted) chicken skin. I couldn't even eat it. The cost of that dish? $38. FOR REAL! Our meal for two was $130 plus with gratuity. Ouch...
Luckily, Nelson's Frozen Custard was on my way home and I drove through for a "chocolate almond concrete".
All would have been well except I was up all night needing continuous glasses of water because I was SO DEHYDRATED from all the salt in the food.
Extraordinary! Amazing food, we did the chef’s tasting menu...they knocked themselves out! The building is beautiful...the service extraordinary. The attention to detail is perfect, down to their beautiful dishes. I want to ship that bread home. It is a lovely place and you will have a chance to push you palate to the edge. It is a treat for sure.
My goal in eating out is to experience excellent food that I wouldn't or couldn't do for myself. I've eaten at Table X three or four times now and have not been disappointed yet. The flavor combinations are tasty and creative and encourage slow savoring of the dish which makes it a fun place to eat leisurely with friends.
