Table X is a gem. The menu is short, but entrees and bread are excellent. (They do their own baking.) Snacks and appetizers do not appeal to our tastes. Desserts are creative and very good. Service is very good. Tables are separated by nice distance which keeps noise low.
Definitely worth a try.
This is our new "Go To" restaurant when we want the food to be the center of attention (yet still want a good value). Four of us dined recently. Each of us chose something different from the selection of six or eight dishes offered that night. (Two items were vegetarian, and my lentil stew was delicious, although "lentil stew" doesn't begin to do that dish justice.) One of our group has severe allergies to onion and garlic, and we were all impressed with the chef's ability to "flavor up" the gnocchi appetizer to suit. The food is very creative, from appetizer through dessert, and our server was justifiably proud of the creations as she described each in detail.
The wine list is also quite limited, yet the selection for each varietal is a good one. We brought our own superb (expensive) pinot noir, and were satisfied with the $15 corkage fee.
We went for a friends birthday. We all got the tasting menu with 1 vegetarian tasting. Everything was wonderful. 2 of the ladies are fairly picky and they enjoyed everything they had. Our waiter was amazing also. His name was Jaime, I believe. My favorite was a tie between the soft egg with farro appetizer and the bread. Please sell the bread on its own. It is literally the best bread I’ve ever had. I would buy loaves! Excited to go back!
We were searching for someplace new and table X became a good candidate. The striped bass was great but the lamb entrée was tough. Mentioned it to the chef, for possible improvement for our next visit. Overall very satisfying.
The table ordered the Tasting menu and it was very good. A great variety, perfect pace of food delivered to the table and presentation was lovely. Service was excellent.
The food was the disappointing part of the night; the presentation was great, but the flavor was extremely salty. The pork was delicious in spots, but “gamey?” in others.
We had the 5 coarse Chefs Choice with both a wine flight and the Non- Alcoholic pairing.
Service was on point, but the food (especially the protein dishes) was under whelming for the cost. Willing to give it another shot to see if it was an off night for the chef.
Beautiful space and amazing food! Can’t wait to go back!
Our favorite SLC restaurant. Brought family from out of town and they loved it! Shared all of the snacks and appetizers. All were wonderful and really appealed to vegetarian in our group. For main courses we enjoyed the lamb, bass, pork and vegetable steak and highly recommend all. Our server Jaime is the best! Very professional, knowledgeable and fun. We look forward to our next Table X experience!
The tasting menu was superb but the long wait for a reserved time and lack of knowledge regarding the wine is the only reason this visit did not get a perfect 5. Overall a great experience.
Our new go-to place on New Year's Eve. For years, we went to the Forage for this occasion. The Forage is now gone but Table-X is a noteworthy replacement. Food and service are both outstanding and for those who appreciate the variety of a tasting menu - this is a must try.
The food was amazing. I didn’t expect the food will be that delicious. Definitely recommend to try!
While the menu is short, the food is excellent! Based on my group's experience, it is better to pick a la carte instead of ordering the 5 course menu.
Excellent service and food! Jamie did a FANTASTIC job. Some of the best service I’ve received at a restaurant.
Took my mom here for her birthday and they treated her like a queen! Completely wonderful experience. Food was flavorful and artistically presented. The open kitchen is fantastic to glimpse how they prepare each dish. The entire atmosphere is comfortable, clean, modern, and fun. Service is responsive, fast, and kind. The chefs were very friendly despite the usual kitchen rush. Great time!
As always we had a great night!!!!
Amazing 5 course tasting meal.
Well executed. Well thought out. Presented well, the flavors were not quite to our preference, but exceptionally well orchestrated.
Loved my experience at Table X. Staff was excellent and so friendly, food was great, and setting felt cozy and easy to talk. Would 100% recommend to everyone who has a good budget for a meal.
Another memorable meal at Table X! This time we sat at the counter and were able to watch the chefs work their magic. Truly incredible experience and the tasting menu was delicious. The sweet potato gnocchi and bass were our favorites. And, of course, the bread and homemade butter! Very good wine pairings to compliment each dish. We look forward to our next visit.
Best dining experience I’ve had all year.
The food is always awesome as are the people. It’s our favorite restaurant in SLC
TableX is genius, from concept to execution. Too notch dining experience every time!
Staff was attentive to the point of intrusive. They seemed to have no sense of timing on when to approach the table. The roast leg of lamb was awful. It was so tough and tasted like it had been frozen since the ice age.
They should spend more time on not being so creative on the presentation that they forget about taste.
TableX knocked it out of the park. We had not been in a while but will be back again soon. Every bite of every dish was to be savored. Service was prompt, friendly, and knowledgable. Truly an evening to be remembered for a very long time. Amazing!!
The meal was inquire and delicious. The service was polite and friendly.
Food was fantastic. Atmosphere open and vibrant. Highly recommend chef’s tasting menu!
Good food slow service. Be prepared to spend a few hours if you do the tasting menu (which is fine but would have liked to know ahead of time). Sat down at 5:15 and left after 7...my wife and I tend to eat fast so most of the time was spent waiting for our next plate
We really enjoyed Table-X and found the food to be high quality, interesting, and affordable. We sampled nearly every appetizer and small plate on the menu and we were really happy with all of them. We will be back.
So happy we found this place! Amazing food with unexpected flavors & combinations. Service was exceptional and our waiter was so knowledgeable and attentive. We are gluten free and they had many options for us (even bread!). We will be back soon!
Superb food, service and atmosphere!
We are picky people, having lived in SF and Austin TX before SLC. Table X is one of our go-to finds.
A unique and great dining experience! Tons of vegetables, tons of quality ingredients, and lots of unique flavors. Table X is a great juxtaposition of locally sourced, molecular gastronomy, and home-made. From their in-house churned butter to their home-grown (literally) vegetables, the place is tons of fun for people who like new food experiences and lean towards the healthy/fresh. Fun for vegetarians and vegetable lovers, too, with TONS of vegetable sides and even vegetable entrees.
Not vegan. Not comfort food. Not cheap. Probably not for picky eaters. But a great place for special occasion dining! A small number of tables in an open layout means it's quiet even when it's full. They also have a banquet room with more privacy and seating for a huge group.
With one exception, the food served for this tasting menu was amazing and unusual. The burrata and poached egg were our two favorite dishes--exceptional; the bread, excellent. Monkfish was delicious (though I got only two small bites). Our least favorite dish was the lamb. It was cold, thick, a bit tough and far too large to be paired with all the other dishes. Pumpkin compote was odd, though it tasted good, and the ice cream was delicious.
Our server was the sweetest young woman we have ever encountered! We loved the quiet private booth.
The chief’s tasting menu was fabulous. The portion size was just right and the flavors outstanding.
Table X is a lovely restaurant with not your 'run of the mill' menu. Unique and well executed menu items. From presentation to taste, excellent. Staff delightful and helpful. Overall a terrific spot - only wish it was in Boston! If you've hesitated going there, do yourself a favor, book a table now.
Thank you to everyone there.
The overall experience was excellent, with great service throughout the meal.
I really appreciated the creative way the chefs combined "ordinary" ingredients into magical dishes. As I shared with them, the dining was like a party for the mouth. I love it when I eat food that feels like it's been prepared with love and intention.
Excellent food, service and ambiance. Made sure to check food allergies in the beginning. Comfortable chairs and great lighting - which for me is a big deal!
One of the best meals we’ve ever had!! Great service and delicious food!!
