Adorable place, excellent service and delicious food. I love the concept that I don’t have to decide what to order. Every course was delicious
Simply amazing! Just make sure that you arrive hungry and ready for a great culinary experience!
The food was fantastic. So A+ on that, which is the most important aspect in our opinion. Regarding the service, we were sat outside as requested but they placed one of our chairs on top of a drain grate which they covered with a thin piece of carpet. When someone in our party that was unknowingly sitting on top of the covered drain grate adjusted their chair, one of the legs of their chair went right through the grate causing the person and the chair to fall over on to the side walk. It was very embarrassing and shocking that they would knowingly place a chair on top of a drain grate…it was a disaster waiting to happen. Luckily the person was not hurt, but it’s still crazy that a restaurant of this caliber would knowingly sit one of us on top of a drain grate. And when the person fell backward onto the sidewalk, the staff (who saw it happen) didn’t even apologize and instead just suggested “how about you move your chair a few feet over?”. Really bad experience. If you’re sat outside, as silly as this sounds, double check to make sure that nobody in your party has their chair placed over a covered drain grate (it’s tough to catch when it’s dark outside for the 8:30pm reservation slot).
Overall food was OK but I didn't feel it was really fresh or authentic. Maybe I expected too much considering their price.
Chose Table due to great reviews and celebrating my birthday wanting a special experience. We were running late, unable to speak to anyone in restaurant to inform. Restaurant is small and we were wedged between two parties. Luckily we got a long well with a couple and enjoyed their company. Had the night’s menu in front of us to see what we got to enjoy. We were shocked that they had us use the same plate throughout the dinner despite varying dishes with different sauces and flavors. Felt a little rushed as another course came out before we were done with our last. In all actuality, the food was not fantastic, the staff did their best to make you feel welcome, but felt like they were very robotic. There was no warm and fuzzy. I don’t mind spending the amount of money I paid for a great meal and experience, but I definitely felt short changed with this one.
My family was visiting Boston and the wife said we had to try something new. Table was a fantastic experience, from the knowledgeable wait staff, to the food itself. We truly appreciated the Prix Fixe menu and had a great time discussing the food with not only our server, but the people who were sitting next to us. Great food and ambiance, we will return on our next trip to Boston.
We hosted a leadership team dinner with the CEO of our company. We all enjoy the delicious food and the service was incredible! We will definitely be back.
I had a fabulous evening at TABLE. Everything from the setting, the greeting, the food and the drink were wonderful. It was a true highlight of our trip to Boston and quite the culinary experience. Would highly recommend this restaraunt to anyone who loves wonderful food and doesn't mind making a couple of new dining friends!
Great little spot-cool vibe and dining experience. OUTSTANDING food! Nice to sit and meet new people and share a great meal. My only complaints were that it took awhile for us to get our wine - small space for a lot of help but wish they had one other server for drinks. And everyone at my table was freezing. It was a cold rainy day and the AC was on! Some People were wearing their coats. We did mention it but if they shut it off we couldn’t tell. I would go back in nicer weather and try the outdoor seating next time. ❤️
As usual great food and great experience!!
Food was outstanding! So nice to meet and talk with others at the table after being secluded due to COVID. Staff was also awesome. Looking forward to going back.
The rain started right before our outside dining. Jen and staff moved us quickly inside. The food was amazing. Every course was just delicious. The meatball and chicken cutlet courses are my favorite. Tiramisu was a nice bonus along with the cannoli.
We will be back!
Amazing experience!! We loved the family style meal and had a blast talking to the people next to us. This is a very special place. Most delicious and authentic Italian food.
Was good, was seated end of table of entrance door! Not much room. No place to put pocketbook, or jacket. A lg party behind us so loud, couldn’t hear my friend talk! Food was amazing! Service outstanding! Over priced!
It was a wonderful experience and I can't way to go back!
First off, the food was amazing. The table is set as a large family dinner which was a great way to meet others outside of your party. Jen, the owner and chef, went above and beyond to make sure everyone was taken care of and fed well.
For me its the experience not the food. Although it poured staff tried their best to put an umbrella to cover because somebody in the group complained. I did not like the food. Meatballs was just fine for me.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this restaurant. I was coming from SF to celebrate my mother in-laws bday. I had been to the restaurant pre-Covid and had a memorable experience. So with the one night we had set aside to celebrate my mother in laws bday, hands down- we agreed to go back to Table Boston with our small group (4 of us).
Our experience did not disappoint- from the food to the service- just outstanding!!! And the dinner service was at a great pace - not feeling rushed but enjoying the food/wine and experience in outdoor seating. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant- as the food is memorable and the overall experience is wonderful!
The wait staff was friendly, engaging, and attentive. The food was unique and delicious. I could eat the sauce by the spoonful.
Food was AMAZING and PLENTIFUL!!! Jen came to the table after to see how everything was, she is awesome! Staff was friendly ad accommodating!!!
Lovely - simple food made perfectly. Still dreaming of these meatballs! And the ragu.
Table is a MUST for anyone looking for a fun and delicious experience. Jen Royle is an outstanding chef whose vision for Table has been played out well. The entire dining experience was truly one of a kind and the attention to detail is like no other restaurant we have been to.
Dining at a long table with seven courses was a first for us and we cannot wait to return. Upon making reservations, I only noted that we were celebrating an engagement of my daughter and her fiance. At the end of our meal, the waitress came around with a glass of champagne for each person in our party (6) and then after our toast, Jen (the chef) came out to say hello and congratulate the newly engaged couple.
This was by far our most memorable meal and dining experience.
The atmosphere was cozy and lively. It is loud due to the small space, so if you are wanting a quiet dinner, I don't suggest this place. The chef came out and spoke to us at the end and she was amazing. Wine and food were A+. I could live off the artichokes and bread. Everything was fresh and we left with leftovers and in a food coma. Definitely recommend if you get the chance to go!
Not worth the money in my opinion. Staff was great.
Food was amazing. Fresh made cheeses were outstanding. One of the courses was a grilled octopus . two people in our party (less adventurous) tried it and loved it. perfectly cooked. Server was outstanding and described to cooking method. Even had the entire restaurant sing Happy Birthday to may daughter and brought a large shareable piece of Tiramisu ! Dinner was many courses and left overfilled. Smaller wine list & should expand beer choices, only 2 types of beer, neither were great choices. Highly recommend for special occasion.
Table, you are an absolute gem of the new North End - which still holds the beauty, history, and culture of the traditional NE and adds new flavors and neighborhood demographic. I cannot believe it's taken a whole 2 years for me to try you out, but so glad I finally made my way to you. Staff is friendly and patient, the food is great (hello massive award-winning meatballs, a sorbet palette cleanser, and short rib pasta...drool-worthy), and the ambiance (especially the outdoor table) is perfection - makes me feel like I'm eating at an old rustic wood table in somewhere not in Boston, MA. Thank you for the fun and delicious time - I'll most definitely be back!
Everything was amazing! Every course was exceptional! Staff and service were excellent! Well worth the money!
It was alright overall. I was hoping for a little more curation in terms of wine pairings with the food served. The food itself was mostly good. The ingredients were high quality but the dishes themselves were simple and not very creative. Overall it was a decent experience.
Jen and her team did it again! Table NEVER disappoints. Not only is the food delicious and decadent- every course is perfectly timed giving you time to digest and get excited for the next dish. This is not a restaurant it’s an experience that is not to be overlooked or taken for granted. No one cares more or works harder than this team - and they are just that- a team. A well oiled machine of people who care about providing the best meal and service. Can’t wait to go back.❤️
Went to my first Sunday Super after seeing the restaurants Instagram posts. This dinner exceeded all our expectations. First, the service was great. The staff was friendly and on top of their game. The food. The food. The food. BEST MEATBALL IN BOSTON. Hands down. The Chicken Cutlets we're hot and juicy, but the gnocchi stole the show. I have never had better.
The Owner who is also the Chef came around to every table and greeted us. Can't beat that.
We will make a point to come back during the week and try the weekday menu.
Table has the best food and atmosphere. Each course was cooked to perfection. I took my friends there for the first time and they thanked me for suggesting such a great Italian spot. At the end of the night, Jen the owner, even came out and thanked us for coming and asked how we liked our meal. Not only did Table have phenomenal food but the staff was so friendly and kind.
I’m planning on making another reservation very soon!
We booked dinner with our son as we were dropping him off at college in Boston. The restaurant was really quaint. I actually enjoyed sitting on the long tables with other families. But I’m going to be very honest and a bit harsh. The food was very pedestrian. There was not a lot of flavor and it was made in mass quantities. The burrata dish should have had some acid ( balsamic vinegar or lemon ). The meatball was really Meh. The red sauce was kind of sheer. Octopus was very good. Salty but the beans seemed just kind of canned and not exciting or flavorful. The braised short rib rigatoni was one of the better dishes but it needed red pepper flakes or more salt. The dessert doughnut was very good. All in all, we enjoyed ourselves in the midst of the food being pretty plain and mass produced. There was nothing special food wise. I’m a foodie and can cook Italian quite well. They need more flavor and vegetables and greens or herbs.
Food and service were excellent. Incredibly loud atmosphere- had to yell across the table to be audible. Not an enjoyable experience. Would sit outside if I go back
Amazing food and service. Wonderful!! Will definitely be back!
It was a perfect evening. Their set up is just right and enables you to meet new friends while enjoying an incredible meal. A must.
Great food, amazing service and really fun idea. I was however completely thrown by the fact that we were sat at a community table during covid and we were literally six feet away from eight strangers for two hours.
Hi Sarah, Im sorry you felt uncomfortable but there are currently no distancing guidelines in the city of Boston, and city officials are following CDC guidelines. Also if you were seated six feet away, that would be the appropriate spacing. Its also stated on OpenTable and on our website that we are communal seating. Meg
I specifically mentioned I was vegetarian and got served a salad - disappointed
As stated on our website and OpenTable, we do NOT accommodate vegetarians. You did, however, eat the burrata, the beans/tomatoes without the octopus, the sorbet, and the artichoke. You did NOT only get served a salad.
Unbelievable experience with Jen Royal and crew last Saturday, July 31. Amazing food, service and ambiance. A top-notch establishment and we’ll be coming back soon. The perfect place for our first anniversary.
The meal a table was excellent. If I were to go again and I plan on it I would ask for several take out containers at the beginning of the meal. It’s a great progression of food and as expected it gets heavier as the courses flow. By the time you are on the carne course you need to slow down because homemade pasta is next and at that point it’s over you wish you could eat more but you can’t. It’s not just a meal it’s an experience.
