One of the best meals I have had! I will be coming back.
Been wanting to try Table for a while now and also have been dying for a good red sauce Italian meal, so low and behold, Sunday Supper called our names. Around quarter past we had wine in hand and the food started rolling. And once it started, it didn't stop. Fresh bread to start. Soft inside, crunchy outside. Perfect. Popovers next...but Jen didn't like how they came out so gave us a burrata and tomato salad to snack on. Again, delicious. Fresh basil and tomatoes. So good. Popovers 2.0 came out better and were delicious. Very light and airy and warm. Next? Salad. Nice arugula salad with a light dressing. It was dressed so good. Just the right amount to give it flavor but not heavy in the least. Wine glass is empty...but the staff is so attentive and friendly that it barely hit the table before it was full again. More on this later. Now comes what I am waiting for. Meatballs, cutlets and gnocchi. All I can say is wow. Meatball was softball sized and swimming in a pool of delicious sauce. It was beyond moist. How she keeps them binded together and that moist is a work of art. Cutlets. How many cutlets have we had that are greasy and covered in sauce? Too many. Not these. Crispy and fresh. There was sauce on the side but they were so moist that it was just even needed. Then the star of the show. Gnocchi. I probably had 10 total and wasn't even feeling them. I ended up having 2 more as we were finishing because I couldn't stop myself. They are worth going there for alone. Throw in everything else, and this place is a gem.
Finally a cannoli and some limoncello to top it all off. Pro tip though: Order a coffee or cappuccino and it comes with homemade biscotti...win win! This really was the best North End meal I have had in decades and told Jen that as she came up to see how everything was. Sitting at the tables was great too. So laid back and accommodating. The staff was beyond attentive and had great personalities. Felt like I was home with family. Love this place!
Great concept, fantastic food. Bring your extra stomach and your social butterfly self. You will not be disappointed.
Great night out and a fun change of pace for us on Halloween. Love Table’s rotating menu and met some really fun families to share the evening with. Special occasion not required, but do bring an appetite.
What a fun experience! Was so happy to have finally made it here while celebrating my husband's birthday. Was not disappointed. Loved every course, most especially the Chicken Madeira and the Zeppoli dessert! And they graciously served some birthday Tiramisu! We were lucky enough to be there on a Wednesday night when it was not fully booked and had a wonderful and intimate dinner. Jen has a fabulous thing going and I'm so glad its going well. Diners should be fully aware before they go that 1. You will be enjoying a fabulous multi course dinner with strangers that will no longer be strangers at the end of the evening and 2. You will be served a pre-set menu that continues to change slightly. You will not go away hungry! Excited for our next visit!
Sunday supper is lovely.
Absolutely phenomenal experience! Each course was incredible and it is very rare to encounter a waitstaff who were so friendly and accommodating. We came with out 4 week old son and the staff and Chef went above and beyond to make us feel accommodated and welcome. Can’t wait to go back again and again!
Great food but the experience was ruined by the noise level. It was so loud that I couldn’t hear everyone in my party of 4. After 3 hours I had a throbbing headache and couldn’t wait to get the bill so I could leave and go somewhere quieter.
The experience was awesome, food outstanding and Jen is a rock star.
I have dined and had cocktails countless times in the North End, and this was by far my favorite experience. The food and ambiance were second to none. The family style dining and service gives off the feel of being at home, but not having to serve yourself, which is the best of both worlds. I would recommend Table to anyone who asked for a different dining experience. Hats off to Chef and the team!
If you want to share great food and ambiance with your fellow diners, this is the place. Chef Royle hits it out of the park (!) with old school Italian. The gnocchi and meatballs will take your breath away. Brava, Jen !!
We visited this past weekend for Sunday Supper. Everything about this meal was fantastic!
Focaccia bread and Caesar Salad with homemade croutons. Awesome!
Chicken Cutlets with sauce
Gnocchi made with ricotta and braised short rib
Limoncello Cannoli and cappuccino
Left with a full belly and met some new friends.
Just so good! We will be back for sure.
Second time eating here. This time for Sunday supper instead of normal dinner. Same level of amazing food! The chicken cutlet was unreal. Ricotta is amazing. Gnocchi is so incredible and light. Garlic bread was wild. The meat ball is insane. Very impressed.
It was our third time in this year and everything was excellent just like our first two visits. The people we sat next to were fun and great to talk with.
Have been waiting to get to Table, don’t know what took me so long. Made it to their last brunch and the food was amazing!! I love the family style concept and preset menu. Met some great people. The service was outstanding and very friendly. Jen (the chef/owner) came out of the kitchen at the end of the meal to see everyone. They really make you feel like part of the family (I was ready go help with the dishes if asked). I can’t wait to go back soon for Sunday supper and dinner!! See you again real soon!!!
Jen and her team are amazing! We were lucky enough to experience Table's final brunch service. The food was delicious and incredibly plentiful. It's a great option for eating with a group, since the servings are family style and the cost per person is set. We all felt like we were having an amazing lunch at a friend's home. There was a minor issue with an individual portion, and Jen went above and beyond in responding. We can't wait to go back for dinner!
Food and drinks were great. Table setting will guarantee conversation with your neighbors.
Amazing! Jen rocks! The food was plentiful and mouth watering! We will definitely be returning!
The Food was sooooo good. Days later I’m still thinking about the ricotta gnocchi. Even though my group tried their best to embarrass me with their drunkenness, everyone laughed it off and just shook their heads. We had such a great time with the ppl around us. Definitely a “must go” if you’re in town.
We just loved everything about this restaurant: friendly, really good food and lots of it (we took home leftovers because there was enough to merit not having it thrown away), good aesthetics (since we now try to steer away from restaurants where we have to yell to each other to be heard), great service. Definitely coming back here.
Incredible food, attentive and friendly staff and just a really great place. I now see why Table has been such a hit. Jen Royle is an extremely talented chef who’s executed perfectly on the concept she sought to achieve of communal dining and getting people to talk and interact over an incredible meal.
Everyone thought the experience was amazing!
Duplicated the experience of eating at a dinner party with excellent Italian food. I look forward to returning
An excellent dining experience. Love the opportunity to meet new friends. The service was great, but the red wine should have been served in a red wine glass. The food, although tasty and well-prepared, was of average quality. Fries looked to be frozen, and other food was mostly carbs. For the prices, we expected great food and wine.
Most memorable dining experience I've had in a long time! Every dish was perfectly executed and the vibe was electric! I'd come back in a heartbeat! Thank you!
Wait staff was nothing short or amazing very friendly. The food was outstanding. Loved conversing with complete strangers. And the cook comes out at the end to ask our opinions on each dish. Felt like I was having a 5 star dinner with my family atmosphere
Really cool spot. Jen and her staff were outstanding. Very knowledgeable and passionate about food. With the setup at Table, we were able to meet some people from the area and ended up going to a bar with them after dinner.
One of the best restaurants in Boston. I love the restaurants in the North End, but it's not your traditional North End restaurant. It's a great break from all of the other restaurants, which blend together. Jen is a fantastic chef and makes every single person feel like family.
I loved the idea of Table....but it was just unbelievably noisy (and I like high energy). I had two more reservations there and cancelled them. Hopefully they will do something with the place to tamp it down a bit. I live in the neighborhood and want to support all new ventures.
Awesome and different experience. Food was amazingly good!
Pace yourself! The portions are gigantic and there's so much food. Everything is yummy but it's a crazy amount of food.
A must-go! Loved the communal table idea. Great staff, amazing food (we went for brunch), and great conversation with those around you. Bloody Mary’s are great as well!
Between the food, service and atmosphere this is easily one of the best dinners we have had in quite some time. We eat out frequently and I am blessed with a Sicilian wife who is an exceptional cook. Our standards for Italian food are very high and this wonderful place surpassed them all. Hope others on this platform get the chance for the same experience. Run, don’t walk. Just too good. Jen - you are an exceptional cook, owner and hostess! (Ps - Sorry about the hand. The dogs won that round.)
The food is delicious and service is superior. It is a well orchestrated culinary adventure with everyone else around you. Not only did we enjoy a feast, we also became fast friends with a family from Ohio. Can't wait to go back.
Table was awesome!!! Waite/waitress were so kind and friendly!
Very attentive to all!! Cannot wait to go again!!
Incredible experience! We had a fantastic time at dinner and enjoyed the conversations we got into with our tablemates. The food was outstanding, I'm sure we'll be back as the menu changes seasonally.
One important thing to know if you have allergies call ahead, everything is family-style so they can only adapt with advance notice.
Table was just incredible! The owner/chef is the most comfortable, humble person who mingles with the guests and cooks all the food. Sitting at 2 long tables seemed like an odd thing to do especially since the food was served family style, but it truthfully was one of the most fun dinners I have ever had . We were a party of three and they sat us with another party of three. Well, we had the best time along with the best meal and everyone there were making new friends as well! There were only two servers and they were as spectacular as the food and the chef! Go to Table!!
The Social Table concept is very nice and we have enjoyed it all over the world. But Table makes a big mistake. To make the concept successful and let people interactie with people they don’t know, you can not accept a party of 16 people! This ruins your concept. The group was also very loud, so other conversations were almost impossible. The Food was okay, but very simple, definitely overpriced at $85 per person.
Our visit to Table, Boston was an unforgettable experience. The concept, food, and service was unique and outstanding. The idea of sharing food with people you just met is a welcome "Throw-Back" to old style traditions. The Best part after the meal, was meeting Jen and her taking the time to get to know my family. And like an old-style holiday visit, it ended with hugs on the sidewalk. Table is truly a unique and special place.
After seeing any number of positive comments on Twitter from people who have been to Table, I decided to make a brunch reservation. As a person who loves *good* food, but can't consume as much as I was able to when I was younger, I felt like Table's brunch would be a good way to experience the restaurant. The brunch was fantastic. Best. Sunday. Brunch. Ever. Each course was fantastic, to the point where I cannot even name a favorite. The restaurant itself has a rustic, even old-world charm, accented by the modern large screen television on one wall. The service was excellent with staff both professional and friendly, engaging patrons from the moment they arrive until we left. The courses are served at a relaxed pace, giving customers plenty of time to savor the food and allowing for plenty of table conversation. The atmosphere is lively but not overpowering. I couldn't finish the final course (Chicken and Waffles... yum!) so took home the leftovers and warmed them up the next day which happily extended the experience. Drinks: Table's Bloody Mary was one of the best I've tasted in a very long time and my wife raved about the Mimosa. All in all, this is a great place to share a meal. I will definitely return. My complements to Jen and her staff. Fan-freakin-tastic.
