The trout was delicious. The fried chicken and Mac and cheese were very good. The wagyu steak was just okay. Overall very good and will return. Thank you!

I was so excited to try this restaurant for the first time because of the reviews. My husband and I were seated on the patio which was a little cramped because we were tucked away in a corner next to a huge fan. The server Morgan asked if this was our first time there and we replied yes. I guess this was just small talk because he didn’t do anything with that information. I only mention this because he asked the guests at the table right next to us and they said it was their first time as well and he gave them a complimentary cornbread appetizer but didn’t extend the same to us. I’m not sure why since the only difference was that we are people of color, but I guess he has the right to comp whoever he wants. Morgan was not very attentive to us and we had to ask for things twice (sauces, etc.). The cornbread with honey butter was not as sweet as I imagined it would be, but it wasn’t bad. My husband ordered the fried chicken and Mac and cheese. He said the chicken was good but the Mac and cheese was soupy, the sauce was watery and didn’t look appetizing. I ordered shrimp and grits which I didn’t like. The shrimp tasted charred and a little bitter and the gravy was too intense. Morgan didn’t come back to check on us or ask if we were enjoying our food. Another server came to clear our table and asked if we enjoyed our meal and I told her that I didn’t as evidence by my virtually untouched plate. I was so unhappy with my whole experience, that I was just ready to go home. Morgan finally came back and asked if he could get me something else and I really didn’t want to have to wait on anything else and I was so disappointed in the preferential treatment that the other table next to us received. Thankfully, the shrimp and grits were removed from our tab. My husband didn’t complain about the Mac and cheese but he was not satisfied with the meal or service either. I’m afraid that this entire experience was not the best and I am not sure that we will return or recommend.

the fried chicken was excellant including the sides. However, the Trout BLT was dissapointing. the Blt salad was very good but the fish was just average
