We dine regularly at Table 79 and always have a friendly, consistently delicious experience. Cocktails are excellent and creative, service always attentive, water stays filled. Menu selections change seasonally and I usually have hard choices to make! This week, I had my favorite Bibb salad with apples, bacon, Dijon and parmesan, followed by a fabulous richly flavored lamb risotto. Can't wait to come back when we return to Steamboat!
The portobello fries were wonderful the hamburger is huge and the service was great .
The food was expensive but not creative. At the price point, we expected unique flavors and were disappointed for the most part. The service was slow and atmosphere too loud to comfortably have a conversation. But we enjoyed our cocktails and our dessert!
Reservations were easy to make on OpenTable. All of the staff members were really nice and told us about happy hour deals (50% off starters). Food was delicious! The mushroom and fig ravioli, brussel sprouts, and s'mores pot de creme were great! Lots of good options for vegetarians. Can't wait to be back in Steamboat and try it out again.
Very nice space and great vibe. Grabbed a late dinner and our server was really attentive and knew the menu well. A bit over-priced but probably makes a great spot for happy hour.
We had a wonderful dinner at Table 79. The food and wine was fantastic. You'll be please with the options on menu for each course. Our server was excellent. She was very personable and I hope she didn't mind the time we took enjoying the courses and conversation we had. Her recommendations and knowledge of the menu helped to make the evening very enjoyable.
Menu is similar to Truffle Pig, where I ate the previous night, having many similar items and overall feel. However, the execution could not compare. I wanted to like this place, but there just was no reason to go to go here. The food was bland (the pork chop was flavorless) and my daughter had to send her steak back twice as the chef did not seem to understand the difference between rare and medium.
I did like the portobello “fries” but not enough to go back for them. Skip this place, go to Truffle Pig instead.
Incredible food. Beautiful cocktails. Attentive service and a refined kids menu.
The food was the best we’ve ever had at ski resort area.
Our favorite restaurant in Steamboat. Cool interior, tons of menu choices, great happy hour deals. Not too loud even when crowded. Staff is very friendly. Never had anything there we didn't like.
The best Happy Hour in town - everything was exceptional!
We were given a beautiful table by the window. Our server Jenny was top notch and my salmon was outstanding.
When we arrived the restaurant was filled w/ smoke to the point our eyes burned and our clothes smelled after we left the restaurant. Likely, an uncommon occurrence but it set the tone for the evening. We had reservations at 6:00 on a Friday evening and arrived just as happy hour was ending. By the time we left the restaurant I would guess that only 60% of the tables were occupied....which speaks volumes outside of my mediocre review. The service was friendly, competent and timely, but it could not override mediocre cocktails and food service. Marguerites were tasty, but three sips at best...mostly ice. Three people in our party ordered short ribs. Although the flavor was good and the vegetable sides quite good, 2 of the 3 orders were served a portion of meat that was 1/3 fat and could not be eaten. Two people ordered the butternut squash soup (soup of the day) but were not told of the flavor profile which was strong on curry. As a result, one person found it not to their liking. The burgers were tough and were heavy on bun. One person ordered wine and it was not delivered to the table by the time the meal was mostly over and so the order was canceled. Over all, not worthy of the 4-1/2 stars it receives on Open Table. There are better offerings in Steamboat.
Table 79 has an excellent happy hour, great quality food at an excellent price. I recommend Table 79 to visitors and have had only good feedback.
The food was delicious...the service was over the top and the servers were very accommodating. It is alittle noisy...we we're in Steamboat for 4 days and ate there twice! Will definitely come back next time we are in town.
Outstanding food, creativity, and enjoyable experience. Table 79 is extremely popular and so they're very busy. For that reason it took just a little longer for our food to come out than typical, but we were in no hurry. It was worth the wait!
Food was excellent. Great ambiance with good service there was good cocktails and great desserts. Fairly exspensive but worth it. highly recommend.
The food was just ok.
One of the best restaurants in Steamboat. Consistently excellent food and service.
One of the best Happy Hours in town. We like that tables are available to everyone whether you are eating strictly from the Happy Hour menu or from both the Happy Hour and full dinner menu. Diners can mix and match.
Amazing service, food was delicious, serving sizes were perfect for me (my boyfriend could use a little more). Great experience!
Great dinner, friendly staff - not overpriced! The space is warm and friendly.
This was our first time and as soon as we walked in instantly loved the look and feel of the place. Our server was great and the food was spectacular.
Probably now one of my most favorite places to eat in town. Creativity in the dishes without being way out or absurd. Definitely some talent in the kitchen. And while many restaurants are on the craft-cocktail wagon now....these people have it going on. Can’t wait to return next year!
Delicious. Happy hour prices for appetizers and drinks are not to be missed.
Table 79 was a fantastic dining experience! Everyone’s food was absolutely delicious, and we especially appreciated the care they took in accommodating our daughter’s gluten and dairy allergies. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are visiting Steamboat!!
Great food in a very comfortable environment. A bit pricey, but not overly so. Variety of selections is wonderful. Everyone should find something they like. Very modern American fare. Please go.
Fabulous dinner! We called because we
Shuttle and explained to hostess! Our server was awesome, food fabulous, hostess - I would get another one! We walked in ten minutes late from our reservation and called to say we would be late! The hostess promptly told us our table had another reservation at 7:15! We finished dinner at 7:05 but I truly expect better service and welcome from the hostess! We love this restaurant and come every year! Fabulous food and service, poor hostess!
The food! The food! Fig toast..to die for! Tuna poke...to die for! Crispy brussell sprouts, fig and mushroom ravioli in butternut squash soup, the s'mores dessert, all too delicious to describe! Worth another trip back to Steamboat just to dine there! Our waitress was super; added to our enjoyment! I love this place and look forward to eating there every time I go to Steamboat. You will, too.
Really a good dining experience with friends. It was a full restaurant night so the noice/conversations were a bit loud but we just dealt with it.
Vibrant atmosphere, great food and service. The salmon entree was fantastic!
Had a reservation. Hostess sat us in table in the corner despite other open tables. Asked to be moved and they flatly refused and offered to sit us at high tops looking into kitchen, which makes the food lose its luster when you see how everything is made. Despite pointing out multiple open 2 tops, they would not move us. Turned around 5 minutes later and saw another party sat in the open tables. Was there for “happy hour” and apparently the happy hour brisket sliders are a different quantity than non-happy hour, which in my mind defeats the purpose of the supposed happy hour. After sitting down, waiter poured water which included random debris floating in the water. Food was ok, however I don’t plan on going back and would not recommend.
Great service and great prices during happy hour! Accidentally made a reservation for 2 with a group of four. Hostess was terrific in getting table for four. Will be back next time in Steamboat!
Great food, good value for the price. Excellent ambiance and a varied menu. I had a hard time choosing from all the great sounding entrees. Lamb shank was so tender a knife was not needed. Entrees had a unique blend of flavors and spices. Friendly staff. Highly recommend.
One of our favorite places to go in Steamboat. Don’t ever take the portobello fries off the menu!
Delicious food! We had no drinks or dessert. Actually no desserts appealed to any of us. Seated promptly. Great waitress.
First, I will say the food was delicious! We loved the pork, pea brandade, ravioli and tuna poke. Our service was possibly the worst we’ve ever had at a restaurant with $30 entrees. Our server was inattentive, patronizing and the service was exceptionally slow. Most places that advertise a children’s menu understand that people dining with children need meals to move a little quicker. We were seated at 6, got our appetizer around 6:30 and our dinner at 7:15. That is far too long for young children to wait to eat. We were served burnt bread (arranged on the plate to hide the burnt sides), which we returned to the kitchen and we were then charged for two orders (the burnt order and the replacement). I would consider going back here without children because the food was so good. This is definitely not a family establishment despite the fact that they have a children’s menu.
Love the happy hour, warm greeting, excellent food
We had a reservation for 7:00 and were seated promptly. We got our menus and ordered our drinks. It took a good 15 minutes to get our beverages with a commentary of "good things come to those who wait." We ordered dinner and sat for another 40 minutes or so with really no explanation of why it was taking so long. Our waiter did not come back to see if we wanted anything else to drink for quite some time either. The food, once it arrived was quite good. However, the $31 pork dish my husband ordered was embarrassingly small. I think that they may have been having staffing issues or something but it was frustrating to have other people come in way after we did and get their food right after we got ours. Some sort of explanation or apology would have been nice.
