    As a South Indian, I truly judge the daylights out of Indian restaurants. I will say the atmosphere, service and Mango Lassi were amazing! The food = HOME MADE RECIPES!! You can tell!! Since moving to FL I have struggled to find an Indian restaurant that just tasted homemade and I found it here…my only upset is that it’s not in Tampa haha. I’ll be back.

    Definitely a hidden gem - we have been looking for a great Indian cuisine restaurant and have finally found one in Orlando - Tabla is OUTSTANDING - food is great - service was wonderful - Shruti went above and beyond. There are multiple locations in the Orlando area - we are at the Major Blvd location near Universal Studios. Highly recommend it. They also offer some Chinese and Thai options - something t o consider in future visits, but the Indian cuisine is very, very good.

We never prepare our food before we get our orders. Same goes for the pakoras as we have Vegan, Jain, and mix pakoras.     We have eaten at Tabla in Lake Nona and loved it. Arrived here with reservations to find food particles on the menu, slow service, and closed bar. Too 20-minutes to have water delivered even though four young servers were standing at the entry. Disappointing, We left. And drove to Tabla in Lake Nona for a fabulous meal, drinks, and service,

    Oh dear, where to start with this. The food was actually okay. We had four decent curries but it has to be said there wasn’t much between them in terms of flavour. And the fact that they ask you how hot you would like a madras and how hot you would like a tikka masala starts to ring a few alarm bells. The Nan breads are gorgeous. Now let’s get to the service. What an absolute shambles. There appears to be many waiters and waitresses walking around the restaurant who don’t really seem to know what they’re doing. We had a number of problems with them. One waitress took a spoon from a curry and placed it on my wife’s plate as she was eating. Another waitress passed us cold plates, reaching across us as we ate our food. We had the wrong drink brought to us, the wrong curries handed to the wrong person, plates taken away before we were finished, and when we asked for a small spillage of curry to be cleaned up on our table they simply handed us paper towels and left us to it. Once the plates were cleared we were charged promptly. And finally as we left, not one person said goodbye or thanks to us. The service here lacked all sense of consideration. They’re not rude, but they’re bordering on it.

    I like Tabla have been to their winter park and oviedo locations, first time to the one near I-drive. While it was good to see the place filled with customers, the restaurant is hopelessly understaffed for the number of customers they had. The staff did their best but orders were back up in the kitchen and wait staff was not trained on customer service under these circumstances. We had long waits for food, but the food was reasonably good.

    I made this reservation to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, we are British and wanted to reminisce the flavors of India. We have eaten Indian meals more times than I can remember and the portion control was so much more worth the price. You charge $24 for a bowl full of sauce with 5 small pieces of lamb served with a bowl of rice only. I have not had lamb for over 10 years and this was a disappointment. Our party was charged a 20% gratuity this was automatic even though we were paying separately, some people were parties of 2 or 3 but still the gratuity was applied. This visit was a big letdown and I will not revisit or recommend this restaurant.

    Excellent and authentic Indian food. Only issue was the rushed service. They bought over our main meal twice whist we were still finishing our appetisers. I suggest that you just order your appetiser first then order main course after you’ve completed your appetiser. Nice smiley people though and we’re gracious when I told them we weren’t ready for our main course.

    The restaurant itself was very elegantly decorated. However, the food was merely average and not worth the prices charged. We brought our own wine, one white and one red, and had them sitting on the table when were told at the start of the meal that there would be a $25 charge for the corking fee. We understood this to be a flat fee, yet since we were hoping that it was a BYO, we were reluctant to pay extra for our own wine. We discussed it for a few minutes, with the server standing there. Yet after looking at the high prices on their wine list, we opted to pay it. At the end of the meal, the server said that her manager wanted to charge us $50 for the corking fee, since it was 2 bottles. We argued that this was not what we were told at the beginning of the meal, so the server left to discuss it again with the manager. Eventually, we were charged for one bottle only, but the whole experience was embarrassing and made us uncomfortable, ruining what we had hoped would be a lovely evening out.

    Service was very poor. We were placed at a table without menus and then the waitress came to take our order. Also the main course was brought to the table but without dinner plates. We had to ask for the menu and the dinner plates. Not impressed.

    Excellent and authentic Indian food with a wide variety of dishes served in an elegant environment by a friendly and enthusiastic wait staff. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious.     The food was ok the chicken tikka Marsala was great. The appetizers were below standards. One appetizer was not acceptable and I asked that they remove it from the bill. The waitress was extremely pushy. She tried to tell me what to order. She told me not to leave a tip instead of them removing the item. I spent $95 for a meal for two. Not worth it at all. This is one you can pass.

    Can you please give us the whole rundown of what happened as we asked our server her side of the story and we understand her point of view that, if you had problem with the food, you should have bought it up to her or the manager before you consumed it. Since, you ate it and then asked for the item to be removed, she was not able to.

    Service was not good. They spilled sauce over one of the people in our party. We felt rushed and were not even offered dessert. We had to ask for a dessert menu. Not representative of the star rating in open table.

    Good food but expensive compared to other Indian restaurants that we have dined at. We asked for all of the dishes to be prepared mild, which they were however the Samosas were very spicy. I realize that these are made prior but the server should have mentioned that they are real spicy.

    I took my husband for Father’s Day to the restaurant as a surprise. He had been craving for Indian food and wasn’t aware of a good restaurant in the area. I found this one and decided to try it. The restaurant is inside the Clarion Hotel and it is simple and very nicely decorated. They actually serve, not only Indian but Chinese and Thai dishes as well. The sever came right away and was very pleasant and attentive. We started with appetizers. My husband ordered Chili paneer fish, which consisted of Asian sea bass, Chinese chili garlic sauce, onions, and bell peppers. It was delicious. It had a sweet but lightly spicy taste, which combined with the onions, pepper pieces, and the fish created an awesome experience in the palate. I had Palak chaat, which consisted of air fried spinach with a touch of sweet yogurt, ginger, and an amazing tamarind mint chutney that was to die for. The flavors exploded in your mouth. For our main dishes, my husband had the junglee lal mass lamb with garlic tomato sauce. The dish is spicy, so if you can handle that, it is a very good flavorful dish. I had the Tabla’s style homemade lamb curry. This dish builds up some spicy sensation as you eat it, but it is amazing. I mixed it with their basmati rice, which is long grained, and the meat and the curry flavors and other spices filled my mouth with pleasure. We really enjoyed this place and will be back. I loved the spices in the food and how they are prepared and presented. They didn’t have the wine I requested, but they had others to choose from and it ended up been a good choice.

    When one dish came, we had no plates or forks to eat. We waited for the plates for like 5-10 minutes. In the meantime , the dish got cold. Taste wasn’t really good

    Poor server we did not get what we ordered, 45 min wait for meal. We were given cold plates then 20mins later given cold rice in stainless dishes, meal was bland. We ordered poppadoms and reminded the server half way through the meal, he forgot again and brought them out as we were leaving. As a good will gesture he offered us them free as we were walking out, we declined. Very poor restaurant.

    Service was super slow. We waited 45 minutes after we finished eating for a check and containers. Ask 6 times for togo containers. Food isnt tradtional indian flavor. Most had a trini accent, dont know if the cooks are from trini. Everything was salty. We order chili fish.. salty and ok, lamb chops and tandoori chicken.. no flavor of tandoor, salty and tasted like shan mix for seasoning, not good. Lamb biriyani was ok, chicken tikka masala had a different flavor again ok sag paneer was ok. The best thing was the naan, light and fluffy. Place was busy which maid me wonder why the food wasnt that good but maybe everyone else is used to this flavor. Service was the worst.

    My family and I had a great dining experience at Tabla. The spices were not overbearing and the food was absolutley delicious. We enjoyed the manchurian chicken, samosas, tandoori chicken, lamb chops, and two kinds of naan (garlic and butter). I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for great Indian food and friendly customer service. My family and I will return to this restaurant during our next visit to Orlando.

    Omg, what a fabulous restaurant! They serve Indian, Thai and Chinese foods, beautifully prepared and served. The staff was friendly, and helpful. Beautiful upscale decor. Would definitely return when we are in the area again

    The server was very excited to share his suggestions as this was our first time there. Everything he recommended was delicious with just the right amount of spiciness and excellent flavor. I would definitely recommend you try the IndoChinese and Indian dishes. The garlic Naan was very tasty too. Absolutely loved the jalapeño mojito. Plan to visit again if we return to Orlando.     Very good Indian food in a slightly odd location. Everything was expertly prepared - highlight was the lamb chops (melted in the mouth); Biryani was a bit heavy for my tastes. Waiter was fantastic and recommended what he though the kitchen prepared well - and he was right.
