New Year's Eve Special Menus & Offers
Enjoy a nine course meal with creative Spanish dishes to celebrate the end of the year for $125. We will toast with Cava and eat the 12 lucky grapes at midnight.
One of my go-to restaurants. Best Spanish food in DC.
We had a spectacular evening. Our waiter recommended an excellent gin for a cocktail. The sommelier recommended an exquisite white rioja to go with both of our entrees. The chef was so very talented. Every course we had was beyond delicious and beautifully crafted. This is an absolutely lovely place to spend an evening. We've been before and will absolutely go again!
I was looking for a special restaurant to celebrate our 25th anniversary and found Taberna del Albardero on OpenTable. When I made the reservation I mentioned it was our anniversary but really, that was it and I was going to ask for a quiet table when we arrived. But they made the evening so wonderful by reserving a cozy, romantic corner table with plush cushions and rose petals on the table shaped in a heart along with a note wishing us Happy Anniversary and complimentary champagne when we sat down! The service was terrific and the waiter helped us with which Spanish wine to select and delicious meal. They even created a festive Anniversary dessert plate! We highly recommend them for a special occasion or any meal here (the outside looked nice to eat too.) Thanks Taberna del Albardero!
Food is really good and service is outstanding. My husband and I have been there three times and will definitely return.
Sensational food & service. Traditional decor and classy. Suggest reserving table in the entrance foyer next to the bar. Best seat in the house !!!
We loved the food & the envornment was excellent! Would definately go back!
Excelent food, service and the Flamenco Night is awesome
It's not your Restaurant's fault, but my table was ok in the beginning, until the
big group of mostly women arrived (with a couple of men) and started socializing
onto another table or two. Then, my guest and I did not wish to stay longer. Too
bad. The table ruined our lunch atmosphere. But, your staff was good. The good
was good. Thank you. See you again, soon.
I have dined at Taberna half a dozen ties in the past 6 months. The food is fantastic. I especially love the mushroom crochets, egg plan chips with honey and the Octopus appetizer ( as big as an entrée). The Pia is also the best in the city.
What truly makes Taberna great is the service. It is truly exceptional.
Excellent restaurant. The high quality of food and services has been a constant for a couple of decades now. Highly recommended!
Magnificent fare, divinely served by an impeccably impressive and attentive staff. The outdoor patio is a dream, being so close to La Casita Blanca, however the oft and uninvited lorries passing by do indeed unnerve. The gambas tapas is non-pareil. Try the seafood paellas, much more savory and worth the extra costs, over the meat variety. The red sangria, preferred, is the best this side of The Pond (indeed, better is only found in Valencia during Las Fallas, claro que si?). And for dessert? Cheesecake and flan! *My birthday celebration last evening at Taberna was absolutely exceptional, despite now attaining the age of a double-nickel, with the requisite gray hair to prove it.*
A great restaurant for that special occasion. My wife and I celebrated our eighteen anniversary with a wonderful dinner complimented with attentive staff. Highly recommend.
Great brunch choices and well appointed outdoor seating. Slow traffic on Sunday.
I grew up with eating Spanish food cooked by a woman from Spain so I know what Spanish food should taste like and how incredibly good Spanish cuisine can be.
The tapas were not warm and not very good. We ordered the squid paella and it was at least warm, but not flavorful at all. The warm cheesecake with fruit was one of the worst desserts I’ve ever had.
Additionally the server did not understand English and another person had to be called over several times.
I would gladly have paid more for a more enjoyable meal.
It was amazing and we loved the flamenco show!!!
We were delighted to have been moved into the private room which is just gorgeous to celebrate our youngest daughter who is leaving in a week for a 10-month teaching assistant position in Spain.
The food and service is impeccable.
Very authentic, and very delicious, Spanish food. Service excellent. We ordered too much, but enjoyed everything. I tried the Torrija for dessert and was not disappointed. It is a cross between bread pudding and super creamy French toast. Very light in taste with a bit of caramel sauce and a small scoop of vanilla ice cream. Worth the calories for sure!
It was a flamenco dancing night, so we decided to go. The dancer and musicians were great. Online reservation was easy. Food and drinks were excellent. Had black rice paella and a couple of tapas dishes. Service was really outstanding, all of the staff! Free garage parking is great. Parking used to be next door, now across the street.
Dinner was fantastic. Had read reviews mentioning flamenco but wasn't aware when booking that the flamenco was only visible on patio (looked great/worth watching). Something to keep in mind!
great food and service, the atmosphere was very European
Would 100% come again. I frequently visit Spanish restaurants and this is by far one of the MOST authentic Spanish restaurants I’ve eaten at in the NE Corridor. Excellent food, service, ambience. A great spot for special occasions.
The food was absouletly amzing - I had the executive 3-course lunch. Each dish was expertly prepared. A food lover's paradise! Great job all around. I'll be back for dinner. I can't wait.
Has been excellent for all the many years I have been going there!
Wait staff was invasive and overbearing. There were approximately 6 different staff walking up to our table every 2-4 minutes to ask if everything was okay. They would interrupt conversation, then repeatedly forget the the answers to things they asked us. I left a generous tip, which in hindsight, I regret.
It was great to come back to this restaurant and to enjoy my favorite food! Service was excellent and the food was outstanding! Love this place!
My favorite restaurant! I have been going to Taberna for 20+ years and it never disappoints. Service is outstanding! They always make you feel special.
Consistent, excellent food and service. The only place in DC where I order the whole brazino! The menu is expansive and there are choices for all tastes. The tapas are numerous and you need to come various times to try them all. The wine list has lots options to choose from.
This is a place to return to often.
Excellent food and service - as always!! I come here consistently and it never changes - always superb!
We ordered a selection of tapas that were all delivered at the same time—and quickly. Patatas bravas lacked a little heat and the croquetas con jamon serrano had very little jamon. Good but not good enough for the price.
Great food, staff and entertainment. Thoroughly enjoyable experience!
Gazpacho was terrific; paella was starchy and not very tasty; strawberry dessert was very good; ablation glass was good; service was sometimes neglectful
Meals that we choose have incredible taste. Ambiance is nice. They’re very polite and helpful from welcome to the end. It was our 8th wedding anniversary and we love that place. Definitely will come back again.
A great place for a quiet celebration. It has become our family’s choice for special times.
Outdoor dining on Friday’s and Saturday’s comes with Flamenco dancers and guitars. Feels like you’re eating al fresco in southern Spain! Not to be missed.
Fabulous music and dance performance under the stars.
Date night for the wife and I
Amazing place, from food to service!!
Perfect place for a date.
Excellent food and service. Too noisy for conversation, particularly when they have live music and Flamenco dancer. Validated parking is in the garage across the street, not the garage right next to the restaurant.
Amazing service, authentic Spanish food for good value. They really know how to make celebrations special. We were celebrating our anniversary and they offered complimentary champagne and decorated our table with rose pedals. Overall amazing experience.
An excellent place for authentic Spanish cuisine.
They have a good wine selection.
A tradition for good dining in D.
